Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon card[edit]

The reason the image shows it cannot be used in a duel is because it's not a normal-sized card. The normal-sized card can be used.--MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 12:47, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

DRLG and 73??[edit]

Any credible source for Number 73: Abyss Splash being included in Dragons of Legend. Note that Number C73: Abyss Supra being in doesn't count. Photonkrios99 (talkcontribs) 22:22, March 2, 2014 (UTC)

Kozaky being related to Dark World[edit]

"Kozaky" is not related to "Dark World", as you implied by linking "Dark World" in its flavor text. That was an early translation before "Dark World" monsters were actually released. The Japanese text actually says the word "Makai", which is nowadays translated in English as "Darkworld" or "Underworld" in English card names. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:55, March 3, 2014 (UTC)

Relation[edit]

Calling one card relating to an archtype is like saying I'm related to two other people with a last name beginning with "H". It should only be considered related if the card relates to ALL members of the archtype. Metamorphosis is only required in two of all the Elemental HERO monsters that exist. Level Modulation relates to "LV" monsters because it applies to ALL "LV" monsters not just two. --MasterMarik (talkcontribs) 20:50, March 6, 2014 (UTC)

Archetypes[edit]

Archetypes are defined by their Japanese names. Not their translated names, the actual Japanese text. None of the cards you added to the "Hell" archetype are actually part of it. The support cards give "地獄ヘル" as the necessary text string. Cheesedude (talkcontribs) 23:50, March 9, 2014 (UTC)

RE:Rai Rider[edit]

I'm not sure why you're asking me this. Did you not read my edit message? Or did you just zero in on the revert? --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:42, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

Who said it's an archetype? Series are not as clear-cut as "it has a certain word in its name, and that's it." If Kozaky had not used a "Rider"-themed Deck, the page would not exist. As such, the only monsters that qualify for the series are the "Rider" monsters he used. Yuma did not use a "Rider"-themed Deck, so his "Rai Rider" does not qualify as a member. "Diskblade Rider" counts as a member since it is clearly a counterpart of "Chaosrider Gustaph". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 03:53, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
I'm sorry that you can't wrap your mind around it, but that's the way it is. Series don't have to have specific support. We're not going to add stuff like "Union Rider" because it has "Rider" in its name. I can only repeat that it is defined as the "Rider" monsters used by Kozaky. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:01, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
An archetype is a group of cards who share a name in common, that is directly supported in a card text. Example: "Mermail Abyssgunde" mentions "Mermail" monster in its effect text. Now "Mermail" is defined as an archetype, since it is directly supported by a card.
Now, there are monsters like "The Dark - Hex-Sealed Fusion", "The Earth - Hex-Sealed Fusion" and "The Light - Hex-Sealed Fusion". They all share a name in common: "Hex-Sealed Fusion". However, they are not an archetype since no card text specifically says "Hex-Sealed Fusion". But they are still similar enough in name and artwork to each other, and have similar effects, so a series can be made for them.
For "Rider", there originally was no good reason to make them. True, they all have bikes and have "Rider" in their name, but nothing else connected them. Then, Kozaky used a Deck using those monsters, and voila, now they have a connection. However, "Rai Rider" is left out since even though it shares a common artwork and name with those monsters, it doesn't share the connection of being used in Kozaky's Deck. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:08, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
The "Dark Magician" series is treated differently, since the current members have similar artworks/outfits to each other (the background circle being a common motif), and/or have effects/Summoning conditions that involve "Dark Magician".
For the "Rider" situation, yes, they all have motorbikes. But their artwork/outfit styles have nothing in common with each other, except "Gustaph" and "Diskblade". And again, I refer to the Kozaky connection forming the basis for the series, which serves to exclude "Rai Rider". --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 04:21, March 13, 2014 (UTC)
