i get that from all the web... i search for japanese sites, official and private blogs about Yugioh and other sources... e-commerce sites... after i have found all the data i'm searching for, i do a compare among all the files and data... obviusly i discard the thing that are not sure.

you are right, but these images are exactly like the real ones despite they lack the number and eye of anubis. i take this type of images from Gaccha.jp just because there are no other scans on the net. i don't know if this site modifies the images or these type of card really exists: i will try to find out it. \\\\||||//// Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 20:57, December 29, 2010 (UTC)

I asked for the card images and discovered that the scans are all taken from the Valuable Book, so in japan they are official. Maybe, when they can't get the real scan for the VB, they simply take the image from konami, which give them the printing plates. however from now i will upload only real scans. \\\\||||//// Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 20:42, January 17, 2011 (UTC)

Jump Festa 1999/2000

Are you sure that's the same event? Konami lists 1999-10-21 as the release date on their database. That poster says 1999-12-18 to 1999-12-19. Could Jump Festa and V Jump Festa be two different events, the latter of which had the promotional card? -- Deltaneos (talk) 17:32, July 29, 2012 (UTC)

i haven't found any reference to another event, but if you check all Jump Festa's dates of release, you will find out that they are always held on 15th-30th period of december; so the latter event must be the JF...on the net i can't find any reference to a V Jump Card Festa held in 1999, morover the VJCF always takes place on summer. /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 22:49, July 30, 2012 (UTC)

• i'm sorry i don't really have the time to do a deep research now, all i know about these cards is that there are 1000 copies each, they were subscription bonuses distributed at random. their value goes from 600 to 1500 $ each... that's all. i made some research about the 2 asian-english cards but i can't figure out from which issue they came. the chinese Dark Magician (like the Vjmp chinese bewd) comes from the 1st issue of 2000, but the asian-english ones are rumoured to come from the 27th issue of 2001; that's strange however because they have the very first layout and that number of wjmp seems not to have any kind of content about yugioh franchise at all..... /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 21:08, January 20, 2013 (UTC)

no, i saw this: http://www.jakarade.com/index.php?page=search11&search=Original%20Structure%20Deck%201 but i didn't add that those are alternative "first" cards of the deck, i also deleted the cover cards on the box because they could be confused with the ones in the box, i'd better specify this and maybe add the box cover cards as "box cover cards" or something like that.

recently i bought some books like the Master Guide and some game strategy guides, so i was thinking of scanning and uploading all the pages, would it be a problem for copyright in your opinion? remember that they have at least 10 years and are discontinued

I see. So there are various cards visible through the window on the box. Although, I think the term "cover card" more specifically refers to the cards printed on the packaging. Maybe a separate "window card" parameter might suffice?

Unfortunately, even in those circumstances it would still technically be copyright violation. The copyright of anything published after 1977 won't be considered expired in the United States, until whichever is shortest; 90 years after the death of the author, 95 years after its publication, 120 years after its creation or the time it expires in its country of origin. Copyright in Japan expires whichever is shortest; 50 years after the death of the author, 50 years after its publication or 50 years after its creation, if unpublished. i understand, my hope was that, even if the books are still affected by copyright, no one would have actually took care of contesting something like this, since these books aren't bringing money to Konami or anyone else for years.... as for the books currently i have only the Master Guide 1, Yugioh! Konami's Duel Monsters Seiyaryu

Based on what I could glean from a Google Translate of its auction page, it seems to have been a meeting experience card associated with Duel Monsters 1, but I don't even have a tentative release date for it. yes, this is the only old layout promo by konami and, for what i found out today, this event was the very same type of event of Aqua Madoor UScR for DM2:DDS. for the translation (using google, babylon and making some adjustments):"a very small number of this item was distributed at a meeting experience held before the release of the first DM software for GamBoy. the copies of these item are very few because it was distributed in only six stores though the nation before YuGiOh exploded in popularity." then he\she states to have attended the event and received personally the card. also on the JP Wiki (forth point under the 2nd paragraph) it is stated that it "was released as a collector's card in a meeting experience prior to the release of YGO DM1" and then i'm not able to figure out what the rest means but seems to be like "the YGO OCG appeared as this collector's card attached to the game." also states "it was distributed later as a lottery present through the Red Circle Jump, but only five pieces were distributed by this method.". this is all i got, it is a mysterious event like the one before DM2 like i said before, i would assume that this "meeting experience (体験会)" is a specific compound of words to target a specific type of game-related event. the problem is that i have no idea of what it means in the japanese game culture. /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 00:02, August 15, 2014 (UTC)

Early Asian-English and Chinese magazine promos

Hey Jump Enemy, can you offer any insight into the correct release dates for the Asian English and Chinese Dark Magicians and Blue-Eyes White Dragons released with issues of V Jump and Weekly Shonen Jump in 1999, as well as which was released where? this is one of the big mysteries... i think this site is very reliable WJ - VJ and it states that the 2 AsianEnglish promos were released with Weekly Shonen Jump N°27 of 2001, i guess around june or july 2001. the chinese ones were distributed using the well-known method of the lottery, like all the Limited Editions and the V-Jump Editions later, they publicise this lottery on tv and on the back of some Booster pack or Structure Deck, you simply have to send an e-mail or a letter with the proof you bought that product and you will participate to the extraction (in this case the lottery was limited to 1000 pieces). keep in mind that i'm only assuming this because of the high probability, i found no clue about all this. so the chinese ones were given on december 1999 for the N°1 issue of 2000 (both Wj and VJ), for the VJUMP the date should be the same every month, i dont remember now. the strange thing is about the Asian-English ones, i found an image of the N°27 WJ of 2001, and there was no info on the cover nor on the back about the promos... this is strange; moreover why would you release two promos in 2001 with a card format used before march 2000? i have no idea. then about where they were released, i don't know it either, but i would say in japan only. china, korea and thailand also could sell japanese boosters i guess, but couldn't get promos and such limited things.

After looking through all the WSJ covers from 1998 to 2001, I didn't spot any others that looked relevant, though I might've just overlooked one; for example, I managed to miss the cover for the issue that Archfiend of Gilfer was released in, and I almost missed the one for Amazoness Chain Master. I thought that second card didn't look like BEWD... Dark Magician and Hitotsu-Me Giant were also released in EX Starter Box (actually, funnily enough, comparing their database pages shows they were in the same sets for their first four releases documented there), but that wasn't until December; Konami wouldn't have been promoting its release a half-year in advance, would they?

i let you know i did answer on the JF 1999 talk page. when that WSJ N°12 was released (march 1), the first starter box was to be released in two weeks, so they couldnt already advertise the EX starter box of december. maybe it is only an advertise for the starter box... would be useful someone who can translate that kanji after "starter box...." on the cover, it would solve the puzzle. /////||||||\\\\\ Jump Enemy (talk • contribs) 14:34, March 13, 2015 (UTC)

Looking for a source for an old card

Hi Jump! I know you haven't been around for a while, but I'm hoping you'll still get this message and be able to help me out. About six years ago you uploaded this image. I don't expect you'd remember the source off the top of your head, but is there a chance you have a list of bookmarks for sites with JP images, so that I could try to find where you got it from? It appears to be a Normal Parallel Rare, but the JP database doesn't list that monster as having been printed in that rarity. I'm trying to figure out if it was a misprint, or if there is a database error, or if it might just be in a sleeve that mimics the NPR look. If you can help it would be amazing, but if not I understand.
