Invasion of Flames rulings[edit]

Sorry, I reverted your edit, but now I'm thinking twice. What is this "reference to Judge rulings documented by Konami officials during sanctioned events" you were talking about? Specifically the "reference" that was "documented by Konami officials"? I would like to see that. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 00:55, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

Okay, the ruling you put in for "Dark Smog" is wrong. Interfere with a rulings page incorrectly the next time, and you will be blocked. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 05:25, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

The ruling for dark smog is considered accurate, and has been ruled multiple times during previous regionals. I apologize if this is inaccurate, I am just thumbing through judge materials and correcting contradictions on the wiki if possible. In regards to Invasion of Flames rulings, again, all I have is the documentation provided to me by the KDE Judge Program. I can't imagine any material being regarded as a better source for a card ruling. The ruling was accurate (we all know Invasion of Flames does not function like a Jinzo and only applies to the instance surrounding its normal summon) and should remain, as many new players believe that invasion of flames is a free royal decree. As that comes up frequently among players, that ruling was both productive and accurate. As for Dark Smog, upon further reading, I have found rulings going both ways. Some judges claim it is an ignition effect and has a spell speed of 1 in all instances other than the time it is activated, others claim that it is always a spell speed 2 effect. Until Konami gives an official ruling on said card, I will not defend the article I wrote. Removing my ability to edit if I make a mistake would be unproductive, as I have the intention of maintaining the wiki. I could provide identification confirming me as a judge and confirming my access to judge materials if that would satisfy my claim. Would it be possible to note on Dark Smog's page that official rulings have been made both ways and that the timing has yet to be clarified?

You mentioned "What is this "reference to Judge rulings documented by Konami officials during sanctioned events" you were talking about? Specifically the "reference" that was "documented by Konami officials"? I would like to see that."

If you are a sanctioned judge, you should have that documentation. I can show you that I have it. I don't believe I have been told that this material is sensitive. If you are a judge, you can request all written rulings from any sanctioned event within 6 months after said event has ended. They will send you a neat stack of all written rulings passed down by any judge, including which players were in dispute.

Alright, I'm ignoring the "edit" you made. However, as you and I have already said, rulings issued in a certain area are not necessarily correct, and may mismatch with a ruling from another area. The rulings already at Card Rulings:Invasion of Flames already stated what you tried to say; why did you even add the content there? Konami said themselves that UDE rulings are valid, but only they don't change the text of the card to contradict the UDE ruling(s), or issue another ruling that contradicts it. The very fact that you issued the incorrect ruling for "Dark Smog" shows that this is not a path we want to follow. Somewhat "experienced" judges who think that the effect of "Dark Smog" is an Ignition effect should have their position as a judge severely examined.
If we did it your way, this would set precedent for chaos. For example, before the official "Constellar Pollux"/"Evilswarm Castor" ruling was issued by TCG Konami, if people were allowed to upload rulings from their area to this Wiki, there would be edit wars over whether or not those monsters have Conditions or Continuous effects. Luckily, the issue was resolved.
In short, the only rulings we will accept at this Wiki are: 1) Official Konami .pdf files containing Card Rulings, 2) E-mail rulings coming from the Konami support department, 3) Rulings issued from the Konami Judge Program forum (the website, not "real-life"), and in some extreme cases, 4) The konami.com/yugioh/articles website. --UltimateKuriboh (talkcontribs) 07:15, September 22, 2013 (UTC)

Your logic[edit]

If you're going to use "the mechanic is not released yet" as your logic for removing my tip, then you might as well remove all of the pages about the mechanic.Manyfaceblake (talkcontribs) 23:44, February 17, 2017 (UTC)
