Yugipedia:Content moderation

From Yugipedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Content moderation on Yugipedia is carried out automatically by the software, by limiting what editors can do according to their access level, and manually by editors, by reviewing edits.

File uploads[edit]

The uploading of files is restricted to editors who have registered an account on Yugipedia. Uploaded files can be added to any page by anyone, as long as they are allowed to edit that page. All uploaded files are reviewed regularly by administrators; a log of recent uploads is available at Special:NewFiles.

Page creations[edit]

Creation of content pages is restricted to editors who have registered an account, with some further restrictions (the account must be at least four days old and have made at least 10 edits). Talk pages may be created by anyone, though these are not presented to readers from within article content, with limited exceptions (primarily via links from maintenance tags).

Page moves[edit]

Renaming pages is restricted to registered accounts which are flagged as movers. This does not prevent manual copy-paste page moves, but these are violations of Yugipedia's content license and are reverted on sight.

New account edits[edit]

The first 25 edits from registered accounts, and all edits from unregistered users, are tagged as "new user edits" on Special:RecentChanges and in individual page histories, allowing easier manual review.

General[edit]

All actions performed on Yugipedia are permanently logged and can be reviewed via Special:RecentChanges, Special:Log, and Special:NewFiles; or for individual pages by clicking the "View history" tab at the top of the page.
