I'm sorry. I thought it was obvious that Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL takes place in the Xyz Dimension. I guess you don't have the critical thinking skills necessary to make this connection so I'll explain it for you. In Yuto's flashback, we see his hometown being invaded by Academia. While not mentioned by name, Heartland Tower is shown in the flashback, so we know that this place is Heartland City. Also, Yuto is from the Xyz Dimension. Therefore, Heartland City is in the Xyz Dimension. Also, ZEXAL has always been an anomaly of a series in that there is nothing to show that the previous series ever happened. Sure, there's a few statues of old monsters, but there's nothing that ties them to the characters they belonged to. However, this would all make sense if ZEXAL were set in an alternate dimension.
