the objectA Duel DisksDisk (デュエルディスク Dyueru Disuku), sometimes spelled are 'Duel Disc, is a series piece of devices Dueling equipment attached to the left forearm within the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. They were first manufactured by as a portable form of the Duel Arenas Dueling Arenas used in the early part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! second series anime. They use a portable hologram generator to display Duel Monsters cards, and in the case of the Mark 1, the player's hand. Cards that are played are placed on the Duel Disk's blade. Since their introduction in the anime and manga, they have become a staple fundamental necessity among duelistsDuelists.

In the Dawn of the Duel arc, the Pharaoh and the High Priests use a DiaDhank, a golden device worn similarly to the Duel Disk that uses the user's Ba (Life Force) to Summon Ka (spirit monsters) from their stone tablets and control them. Shimon Muran describes a DiaDhank as a device use for calling for Duel Monster Spirits that are sealed away in Stone Tablets. Unlike the Duel Disk, the DiaDhank can only control up to three monsters at once. In place of the Life Point counter is the Eye of Wdjat, which contains a glowing yellow meter that measures the user's Ba, as the Duel Disk measures LP.
===DiaDhanks do not appear in the manga, or the anime prior to the Dawn of the Duel arc; the Priests instead use their Millennium Items to Summon monsters. This duel disk was physically and functionally different than the ones that would follow. Where the others are a single piece construct which houses the deck, graveyard, life point counter and cards in play, The first Duel Disk system had two components joined by a retractable cable, The wrist component houses stores the deck and life point Deck, Life Point counter, and the actual disk component holds 5 five cards. Users would load the cards as explained later into the disk and throw it like a yo style-yo, causing a hologram to be projected from it.
The duel disk Duel Disk system also changed the rules of Duel Monstersto the Expert Rules. They followed Duelist Kingdom rules except for the following changes:
* Both players draw cards until they have 5 five cards in their "hand". If they have 5 then five cards in their hand, they can 't draw no any morecards.* One 1 monster card is placed on the "Main card stage", the centre center place on the disk. This can be in Attack or Defence position.* The other 4 cards are placed face -down into the other places, the "Sub card stage".* The players can only attack with the monster in the main card stage, providing provided it is in attack position Attack Position first. It can attack the opponent's main card stage monster or one of the sub stage cards.* Any monsters in the sub card stage are considered to be in attack position, Attack Position and damage calculation is done accordingly. Spell and Trap cards Cards are destroyed with no calculation done.
* The players may shuffle their sub card stages at their discretion.
An early variation of this system is used in the Toeifilm s Yu-Gi-Oh! movie.
===Duel Disk (Version version 2)===KC mass production Diskthumb|left|250px|Duel Disk 2Prior to the Battle City Tournament, KaibaCorp developed the second generation Duel Disk, the first one to be released to the public. Issued to participants of Battle City, this Disk played the game according to the new revisions Super Expert Rules (which make it closer to the real world version.TCG/OCG) Unlike the previous Duel Disk, it did not need to be thrown. (In the Yu-Gi-Oh! animeAfter Battle City was over, sealers flew out of the Duel Disk was made available to the sides of the dueling area. These disappeared in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.) When in use, it resembled an arm blade. Monsters that are in play are placed on the five slots on the blade either in Attack or Defense position. Directly underneath each Monster slot is another slot for Spell and Trap Cards. If a Duelist were to activate a Set card, they would activate a button on the round portion of the disk. Another slot can open on the front end of the disk that is used for the Field Spell Card. The center of the Disk includes the Deck and Graveyard slot and Life Point counter. The bottom part of the disk (the part that goes around an user's arm) also contains a retractable cable that could be attached to duel arena systems (in the anime, Kaiba used a cable somewhat similar to a USB device). Ever since their introduction, almost all duels were conducted with these, or with the later introduced Chaos Duel Diskpurchase by anyone.
In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, This version of Unlike the previous Duel Disk is shown being used by citizens of The Satellite, indicating that this model has become obsoleteit did not need to be thrown. In the manga, replaced with projectors below the card zones projected the holograms directly from the more modern versions shown Disk; in GXthe anime, as well as the D-Wheel and other each Duel Disk versions that are shown. Also, launches two holographic projectors from around the wristband to the protagonist sides of 5D'sthe Dueling area, Yusei Fudothough their use ceased in the Battle City finals. When in use, is shown to remove a duel disk from his D-Wheel which has a startling resemblance to this version, possibly indicating it resembled an arm blade. Monsters that he has modified are in play are placed on the five slots on the obsolete model for use with his D-Wheelblade.
Despite other models of Directly underneath each seriesMonster slot is another slot for Spell and Trap Cards. If a Duelist were to activate a Set card, this version they would activate a button on the round portion of the disk. Another slot can open on the front end of the Duel Disk has appeared disk that is used for the Field Spell Card. These zones do not appear in all three anime seriesthe manga until GX, as shown with all and the students who tried out for Duel Academy prior to receiving the Academy-issued Duel Disk Spell and Trap cards are instead played in the residents "Monster Card Zones" which act as zones for all cards. Whether or not there is a limit of Satellitefive cards on the field at a time is unknown.
The center of the Disk includes the and Graveyard slot and LPcounter. The toy company Mattel produced replicas of this wristband also contains a retractable cable that could be attached to Dueling Arenas if one player opted not to use a Duel Disk. There are a couple of notable differences between Ever since their introduction, almost all Duels were conducted with these or with the Mattel later introduced Chaos Duel Disk and its fictional counterpart. The spell and trap cards are loaded into the bottom of the blade, but most notably, it cannot project holographic images.
Despite other models of Duel Disks being used primarily in each series, this version of the Duel Disk has appeared in 4 out of 7 anime series. The students who try out for Duel Academy use this Duel Disk prior to receiving the Academy-issued Duel Disk in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. In Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, this version of the Duel Disk is shown being used by citizens of Satellite, indicating that this model has become obsolete, replaced with the more modern versions shown in GX and 5D's as well as the Duel Runner. Yusei Fudo uses a hybrid Duel Disk from his Duel Runner which has a startling resemblance to this version, possibly indicating that he has modified the obsolete model for use with his Duel Runner. In Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, Leo Akaba used this model to test the ARC System with Yusho Sakaki in Paradise City; these Duel Disks were the default Disks used following the creation of the Standard Dimension prior to the creation of the Standard Duel Disks; even after the development of the Standard Duel Disks, they use a blade with a similar shape to this model. ====Real-Life Duel Disk====Manufactured replicas of this Duel Disk were produced as toys. These were produced in Japan by Konami and in America by the toy company Mattel. There are a couple of notable differences between the Mattel Duel Disk and its fictional counterpart. The Spell and Trap Cards are loaded into the bottom of the blade rather than the top but most notably, it cannot project holographic images. While the toy Duel Disk was advertised as being compatible with the TCG/OCG, there are a few flaws that make this impractical:
* Most players used card protectors to prevent damage to their cards. Cards in protectors will not fit into the Duel Disk.
* The Deck Zone can only hold about 50 to 59 69 cards safely. The Academy Duel Disk can hold 65 70 cards in total. While most players stick to the minimum, there are those who use bigger decks Decks and cannot use the duel diskDuel Disk. Though, the The new rules made a maximum of 60 cards, (but now changed to 80 in deck) making the limited holding capacity problem moot. Cards with protectors do not fit in the Duel Disk, and due to that and other things, the Duel Disk damages cards.* The graveyard Graveyard can only hold about 20 25 cards. This would present a problem when playing against someone who relies on running an opponents deck Deck out. It also has "walls" with a little slot, which means removal often means bending the cards.* No place for fusion decks the Extra Deck or out of play cardsthat have been banished. (** This is also true in the anime, however fusion as any banished cards have been seen in are usually placed into the playerDuelist's handpockets, and removed from play cards can be seen to go in separate Extra Deck chambers were not introduced until the player5D's pocket in one episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX standard Disks.)* The Life Points counter can only go up to 9990 life points. While both players start with 8000, 4000, or 2000, it could rise to 9000 or 10,000+ Life Points due to card effects. The reason for the zero at the end is because while there are four buttons on the diskDisk, only 3 three of them change the counter, the last one lights up the display. This also serves the problem that some cards can cause the Life Points reduce LP in the ones place singles digit to be a non-zero number different than zero.*The way the duel disk Duel Disk moves from stand-by to in use is also different. In the anime, the graveyard Graveyard is locked over the deck, Deck and the two field parts are retracted into the main part of the disk. When triggered, the field parts and graveyard Graveyard are unlocked, and the central piece rotates the graveyard Graveyard and field into play position. The toy however does not have a rotating center, and the two halves of the field aren't locked in closer to the central piece. When the player triggers the toy into play mode, the smaller half of the field, in which is spring loaded, is released from it's its lock at the same time as the larger half , which has a weaker spring, and thus, the smaller part pushes the larger part into play position. ====Bandai Proplica Duel Disk====In 2019, Bandai Namco announced and released an updated replica of the Battle City Duel Disk as a pre-order exclusive product. The product includes a display pedestal and several plastic replica cards, using the anime card backs introduced in ZEXAL. Compared to the Konami/Mattel toy Duel Disk, this version is visually identical to its fictional counterpart and features several differences and improvements.* The wrist strap with detachable bottom arm guard was replaced with an adjustable wrist strap with an attached plastic spring-loaded arm guard. The arm guard pieces can be folded outwards during assembly and comfortably encase the user's arm while wearing. A translucent plastic handle was added to the bottom of the Disk that can be held during use, improving comfort and stability.* The Deck Zone and Graveyard can hold sleeved cards. The Deck Zone can hold 40+ sleeved cards, while the Graveyard can hold up to 40 unsleeved cards.* The Spell & Trap Zone slots are now located at the wearer's side, like the fictional version.* Below the two leftmost Spell & Trap Zone slots are two additional, larger slots for the Extra Deck and banished cards. They are pretty loose for holding cards.* The device is powered by three AA batteries and can be enabled in A Mode or B Mode, which flips the Life Points display. When activated, the Duel Disk's sixteen-segment Life Point display and blade lights up and voice lines from Seto Kaiba will play. The LP counter can track up to 9999 LP.* The five black buttons on the back of the circular portion control the Life Point display. Four buttons control the thousands, hundreds, tens, and ones digit respectively. The fifth button plays assorted voice clips from Kaiba, and will also finalize any LP changes when pressed (accompanied by sound effects and lines from the anime). The available voice lines for Kaiba will change depending on the amount of Life Points remaining. The Life Points display itself includes a plastic red button adjacent to it, which will play the songs "Passionate Duelists", "Battle of the Gods", "The Fang of Critias", or "God's Rage" when pushed.* The blade does not split apart or retract, unlike the toy version. The Main Monster Zones are depressable buttons which will illuminate the blade and play sound effects from the anime when pushed in. Pushing in the button quickly will play a voice line for Summoning a Monster in Attack Position, while holding down the button will play a voice line for Setting a Monster in Defense Position. Due to the fixed blade design Spell & Trap cards had to be bent to insert into the slots near Graveyard slot.

(Doma was named Paradias in the English dub.) Functionwise Functionally, it is identical to the Battle City duel disks except thatDuel Disks, except for projecting holograms of monsters, it appears to cause other than the monsters to physically manifest. It looks different to the Battle City disk in fact that it resembles a scythed blade. It is believed to be modeled after the scythes on the armour field area of the Orichalcos Soldiers.Like the Duel Disk 2, The company Mattel manufactured replicas of the Chaos Duel Disk for use with the real TCG, however the same flaws in the Battle City disk. In the anime, the Chaos duel disk folded in on itself until the field was completely folded built into the hinged 'spell trigger' part of the disk, and then folded into the central part of the disk, creating a compact form. The toy is much the same, but cannot fold all the way as the anime disk can, but instead leaves the first card space out. The hinge on the toy is the whole of the first and second card spaces, which pushes to the back of the central part, and though not as compact as the anime Chaos disk, it is still the most compact and lighttheir arm-weight of the toy duel disksmounted weapons.

The shift from standby to active mode of this version of the Duel Disk is much less pronounced than the Battle City variant, only requiring the top section of the card platform to extendvisible.

They appear similar in shape to the Capsule Shooter and appear as a hybrid of a KC Mass Production Disk, a D-Pad and the ARC-V Duel Disks: the overall design mimics that of the KC Mass Production Disk, the blade folds up on top of the body when not in use, similar to the blade of a D-Pad, and as demonstrated by Kaiba, it can produce a virtual blade similar to 9990the Solid Vision blade of the ARC-V Duel Disks.

It appears to lack a Graveyard Zone and Extra Deck Zone. When cards are drawn or inserted into the Duel Disk, it produces a variance brief flash of 34 blue light. As demonstrated by Kaiba in the KaibaCorp Satellite, this Duel Disk is also capable of producing virtual locations and people from its user's thoughts, as Kaiba used his to produce a church- 40 cards held within like setting to Duel against a virtual replica of Atem (which was produced from his memories). It can also display the (virtual) hand of a Duelist like the deck zonelatest model Duel Disks in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, albeit with more detail and status screens.

Though the -model Duel Disks are perceived as "toys"from Yu-Gi-Oh! In WalmartKaiba's catalog, they picture a prototype of the Academy Duel Disk, however the only notable change is darker blue tone.Along with the release of the Academy Disk Mattel produced even more streamlined; it uses a specialized carrying pack for the new disks, though none have been actually seen used or in stores. Due to past sales of the Academy Disk virtual blade and the limited popularity with the toy as Deck rather than a dueling medium Mattel discontinued the production of the Academy Disk several months after its release, thus there will most likely not be releases of the special themed Disks that appeared throughout the series, nor will there be a release of the V2 within the states (which is simply a recolor of the V1 that is if no improvements were planned)physical one.

Aside from the obligatory alternate folding feature, and a cosmetic refit, this Disk functions identically to the second Duel Disk (Version 2) - Slifer RedThese Second Generation Academy . The shift from standby to active mode of this version of the Duel Disks are used by Slifer Red students (such Disk is much less pronounced than the Battle City variant, only requiring the card zones to extend, revealing the Graveyard, and the first two card zones to extend from within the others. The Field Spell Zone functions the same as Jaden)the Chaos Duel Disk. The section of the Disk that covers the blade in standby mode has five rectangles traced on it, possibly the activation buttons for Spell/Trap Cards.
As with the KaibaCorp Duel Disk and Chaos Disk, Konami in Japan and Mattel in America made replicas of the Duel Academy Disk. They fixed one of the main problems of the Disks in resizing the card zones, along with Deck and Graveyard to fit cards with protective sleeves without problems. Although, it can only hold 40 cards with sleeves. Many of the other problems remained.
* No place for banished cards and the Extra Deck.
* Straps are one size only. This was a major problem for players who were bulky in the wrist region and used the Academy Disk in order to save space and not use a table or for fans who wished to use the Disk as part of a cosplay outfit.
* The LP counter is still limited to 9990.
* Owners of the Academy Disk accounted that between different Academy Disk that there was a variance of 34 - 40 cards held within the Deck Zone.

Though the Duel Disks are perceived as "toys", few use the Academy Disk in place of taking up space on a table. Along with the release of the Academy Disk, Mattel produced a specialized carrying pack for the new Disks, though none have been actually seen used by Ra Yellow studentsor in stores. Due to past sales of the Academy Disk and the limited popularity with the toy as a Dueling medium Mattel discontinued the production of the Academy Disk several months after its release.

In November 2010, Konami released an update to this Duel Disk, the Duel Disk - Yusei Version DX 2010. This version addresses many of the issues present in the 2009 version and the Mattel versions. In addition to being the first Duel Disk with spaces for the Extra Deck Zone and banished cards, this is also the first Duel Disk to feature a bottom covering on the arm blade. Konami removed the "flip action" feature present in the 2009 version, opting instead for a more realistic portrayal of the Duel Disk featured in the show - the clips that hold the cards on the blade are similar to those on the original Mattel disks. The Deck Zone can hold 50 sleeved cards, and the Graveyard can hold up to 30 sleeved cards.

|Lester's Duel Disk was the first example of a futuristic Duel Disk seen in the anime. The Deck, Graveyard, and Field Spell Zones are a part of the central body with the Spell, Trap and Monster Card zones are played on the teal energy beams between the six gold cylinders. When not in use, it goes on Lester's back instead of around his wrist. When Turbo Dueling, Lester uses a physical "Speed World 2" card, as he uses the Disk in conjunction with a Duel Board.

|Primo's sword transforms into his Duel Disk when he merges with Terrible Omen. When this occurs, the hilt lowers itself from the blade and then the hilt itself divides into two sections that project the energy beams. In Tag Force 5 Primo uses his sword Duel Disk in ground Duels. However when this happens the hilt is removed from the blade and floats beside the Deck like Lester's.

It is a much smaller version with major design differences, the most notable is its multifunction capabilities, overall design, and lack of holographic projection. Because of this, the device must be linked to the Duel Gazer system for visual effects. The field slides in twice, with the Zone on the right folding over the middle, followed by the two Zones on the left. The entire blade can be stored inside the D-Pad itself when not in use. ==Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V==, the Duel Disks that are used are similar to a combination of the D-Pad and the Duel Disks seen in the alternate future in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. The main body of the Disk retains the touch screen and single Spell & Trap Zone (which is also where the Field Zone is located) seen in D-Pads, while the Monster Zones and Pendulum Zones are located on the arm blade, which, like the 5D's future Disks, is composed of energy (likely the same "touchable Solid Vision" used in Action Duels) and is aligned parallel to the main body of the Disk.  The blade can be customized to be a variety of shapes; a shape similar to the KaibaCorp Duel Disk, a similar shape with an equilateral triangular end rather than the normal shape seen, a parallelogram, a shape resembling the layout of a D-Pad's card zone, a curved arc, a sword-shape, a unique dual-boomerang shape, a shape similar to the Kaiba Corp Duel Disk but with symmetrical points, and a crescent moon shape. Duel Disks respond by briefly lighting up a rainbow-colored circuitry pattern on the blade when cards are placed on the Monster Zones or Pendulum Zones. The word "PENDULUM" will appear on the blade when both of the Duelist's Pendulum Zones are occupied. Regardless of the card zone, the Duel Disks will eject removed cards and they retain the auto-shuffle and the auto-ejection features that debuted in 5D's rather than having a Duelist manually remove their Deck and searching through it; instead Duelists can forfeit or end a Duel inconclusively by removing their Deck. However instead of shuffling the Deck and ejecting the searched cards from the top, the cards are simply ejected from the Duel Disk after being manually selected on the touchscreen. When it is used in conjunction with the ARC System the holograms gain mass and appear to become self-aware, able to perform actions such as catching people and grabbing action cards without command. However this is limited, as Crow Hogan's "0Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain Shower"did not react to the presence of Tarren clinging onto its back. If the system is damaged, then the holograms will disappear. They are also able to generate normal holograms under their own power for normal Duels. In addition players can use the touch screen to check the contents of their Extra Deck, Graveyard and opponent's field. In comparison with the Battle City Duel Disk, this Duel Disk is notably much lighter in weight, due to the streamlined body and virtually weightless Monster Card Zone. This enables Duelists to run and jump without difficulties during Action Duels. These Duel Disks are also multipurpose tools with internet and communication functions, similar to tablets in real life as well as D-Pad in ZEXAL series. These functions as well as Duel Mode come in the form of apps. ===Fusion Dimension===

There are two known models of Duel Disks that are used in the Fusion Dimension; the model used by Duel Academy students and the model used by students of the Fusion Dimension's You Show Duel School. Both models have sword shaped energy blades, although they differ between models, and both appear to have the ability to materialize Real Solid Vision independently of an ARC System.

The Duel Academy model has a shield-like body and a sword-shaped blade. The touch screen is contained under a hemispherical display, similar to the LP display the on the Academia Disk model from GX. This Duel Disk contains numerous functions unrelated to Dueling, like Human Sealing, Interdimensional Travel Technology, and a "Hacking Mode". The Extra Deck is on the left side of the Disk, away from the body, and opens up parallel to the Disk's opposite side. The Graveyard slot is on the back of the Disk, opposite the Deck Zone. A slot on the side of the wrist ejects cards containing defeated opponents, and a possible Spell/Trap Zone. The normal screen border color of the Disk is gray.

The You Show Duel School's Disks' overall design is similarly reminiscent of the Academia Disk in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. The difference is the colored borders covering the left and right sides, with the Graveyard slot aligned at the front border, while the Spell/Trap Zone is on the side facing the Duelist. The blade's leftmost end resembles that of that Duel Academy Disk from GX, but the right part still resembles ARC-V's Duel Academy hilt shape.

Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS
The Duel Disks that are featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS are a brand new model invented by SOL Technologies, and appear to function similar to the ones featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, but due to using virtual cards, they lack a physical blade. Models that require physical cards still exist but are considered outdated.

Old Model
The older models require actual cards to enter LINK VRAINS and lack the touchscreen interface seen since Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL. The body heavily resembles a hybrid of the Kaiba Corporation and GX Duel Academy Duel Disks. While the blade is energy-based and follows the same color scheme as blades of the ARC-V Duel Disks, it is shaped differently and additionally features a metallic dark gray border around the black strip. Like the 5D's Standard Disk, the Extra Deck Zone is located behind the Main Deck Zone, and like a D-Pad, it has a single slot for the Spell/Trap Zones. The Spell/Trap slot also functions as the Graveyard. Spell/Trap cards can also be played on to the blade, where Monster cards are played. It can also project information screens to allow a Duelist to scroll through their Main Deck, depict the Summoning conditions of monsters, or keep track of counters among other functions.

Whenever a Deck is placed into the Deck Zone to enter LINK VRAINS, the words "Into the VRAINS" appear on the side where the blade is projected from. The word "shuffle" is also shown when Soulburner returns cards to his Deck with the effect of "Salamangreat Mole". Although physical cards are needed to use the Duel Disk access LINK VRAINS, they are data constructs within LINK VRAINS itself, disappearing when dropped and reappearing as needed, a feature shared by the blade. When used in the real world, the Deck is withdrawn into the center of the Duel Disk and a virtual copy is generated. These Duel Disks do not naturally possess A.I., but A.I. can be downloaded into them if necessary.

New Model
The newer models use a Cloud function connected to SOL's card database, therefore physical cards are not needed. Because of this, they look more like wristbands with a touchscreen interface. When activated, they project the user's hand in front of them by swiping their drawing hand in front of them; also, the cards can be played either by voice command or through physical interaction. There are no visible Zones for the Duelist to physically play cards, instead they are merely being played in a normal fashion before disappearing from view.

When actions that require interacting with the Main Deck, Graveyard or Extra Deck are triggered, a white ring of energy that features a changeable colored glow and three trapezoid-shaped ridges with a thin slot in the middle of each one arranged in a triangular fashion is projected around the user's wrist; the one on top acts as the Main Deck Zone, and the ones on the sides act as the Graveyard and Extra Deck Zones.

Moreover, they include a support A.I. program that helps the user during Duels for simple tactical advice and allow them to access LINK VRAINS itself. These A.I. programs also seem to forbid the usage of certain words, such as "idiot". They can project small screens that bear information on certain cards or their actual positions on the field, and they can project a Duelist's entire Deck if necessary for searching out specific cards.

Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS
The Duel Disks featured in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS return to using a physical blade that takes design cues from the older models in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS and the KaibaCorp Disks. They feature a straight blade with slots beneath the Main Monster Zones for Spell and Trap Cards, a yellow triangle on the zones, and blue sections at the front of the zones. The blade is completely retractable and is connected to the body of the Disk by an angled section akin to the Graveyard chamber on an Academy Duel Disk, though this section does not contain the Graveyard itself. When activating Spell and Trap Cards Set in the Duel Disk, the cards are ejected from the slot for the user to insert face-up. Similar to toy Duel Disks, the Monster Zones have sections on the corners to hold the cards down when they are placed on the Duel Disk. As with previous Duel Disk with physical blades, the Field Zone is contained within a retractable compartment at the end of the blade closest to the Duelist's wrist.

The main body of the Duel Disk is hexagonal, due to being made by Goha Enterprises, and the Duel Disks themselves are made of a special metal called "Gohanium". According to Gavin Sogetsu, the Duel Disks' user data is controlled by Goha. Opening the Duel Disks are strictly forbidden; if their owner does not close the Duel Disk after six minutes and sixty-six seconds, they will receive a penalty. Duel Disks also contain their owner's Duel ID cards within them; the removal of these ID cards is also forbidden. The Duel Disk features a small black screen near the back that displays any penalties the Duelist may have accumulated; if a Duelist receives six penalties, their account is banned. The screen can also be used as a light similar to modern smartphones. When the Duelist is in danger of Decking out, the number of cards left in the Deck appears on the screen in red with an alarm to warn them. The Deck and Graveyard section is removable and shaped like a white box; placing it into the Duel Disk activates it and deploys the blade. Yellow arrows on either side of the Deck Zone indicate which entrance is which. The top cards of the Deck to be accessed next are slightly ejected to allow the Duelist easy access to them, as the Deck is further contained within the case than any previous Duel Disks. The Graveyard slot is opposite to the Deck slot, similar to Duel Disks from the Fusion Dimension in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V.

When used for Rush Duels, the words "RUSH DUEL" appear on the screen in red letters, and the sides of the blade slide in to cover the outermost Main Monster Zones, leaving three, while the blade itself slides further out from the Duel Disk, creating a shape like the number "7" that turns red. When Summoning monsters, the blue sections on the front of the Duel Disk glow and create "roads" of light for holographic duplicates of the cards to rush out from, which "shatter" to reveal the Solid Vision monsters. When a Duelist Maximum Summons, the three Maximum Monster cards slide together and the separators between the Monster Zones slide to the edges, creating one giant blue section to eject the holographic duplicate of the combined cards.

Yudias Velgear uses one of these Duel Disks in Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!.

Real-Life Duel Disk
A replica of Yuga Ohdo's Duel Disk was produced by Konami and released in Japan on December 18th, 2021. In addition to the toy itself, the product includes replicas of Yuga, Romin, Gavin, and Luke's Duel ID Cards and three promotional cards: "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Sevens Road Enchanter", and "Mirror Force". Compared to the previous replica Duel Disks, this edition is designed exclusively for Rush Duels. This edition features various adjustments and improvements over previous toy Duel Disks, some of which were previously introduced by the Bandai Proplica Duel Disk.
* The Deck and Graveyard compartment is detachable, identical to the fictional version, and secures itself into position with magnets. The Deck compartment contains a spring-loaded lever used to push the user's cards to the top of the compartment and an outward-facing plastic door to secure the Deck inside. The Deck compartment can hold up to 60 sleeved cards. The rear end of the compartment serves as the Graveyard, similar to the fictional version.
* The device can be powered by three AA batteries. The Duel Disk can be turned on with sounds enabled or disabled. When sounds are enabled, the device will mimic sound effects and voice clips from the SEVENS anime when performing certain actions. Yuga's voice clips play by default; voice clips for other characters, such as Luke, Gavin, and Romin can be toggled by holding down the Life Point counter buttons when turning on the device.
* The device uses a sixteen-segment display to track LP. When the device is turned on, the words "RUSH DUEL" scroll on the display. The device can track up to 9999 LP. Five buttons on the side of the Disk are used to control LP; four buttons to manipulate the digits of the display and one button to finalize the total. A sixth button on the side will play various voice clips from the currently selected character when pushed.
* The wrist strap for the device has been updated to a wrist strap/handle combination that is detachable. When connected to the Disk, the handle protrudes and allows the user to grip it with their hand, improving stability while holding.
* Unlike previous models, the blade is extended at all times and does not fold in. The blade contains extendable compartments to its left and right for the Extra Deck Zone and Field Zone, respectively. The three Main Monster Zones are depressable buttons that will emit a light (and sound effects, if active) when pushed down. Pushing down on all three Main Monster Zones simultaneously will play a voice clip for Maximum Summoning.
* An extra compartment hidden beneath the base of the Disk allows a Duel ID Card to be inserted into the device.

The head of the guitar has a red "7" shape, the neck is purple, while the white body body of the guitar has a vague "7" shape, with the bottom line containing the card zones and glowing the same red as a Duel Disk used for Rush Duels, while the Deck case is inserted below the sound hole and expands when in use. | Heavy Cavalry Duel Club: The Duel Disks used by members of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club are contained within their excavators and ejected from the arm on a mechanical strut before a Duel. When used for Rush Dueling, the two zones on the outside of the Duel Disk are retracted. Kaizo also uses a variation of this Duel Disk that he places on a stand.

Older Models
The Goha Duel Museum is shown to contain a number of older models of Duel Disks, in addition to what appears to be a brief shot of the first Duel Disk created by Seto Kaiba. Many of these Duel Disks had trays for the Spell & Trap Zones as opposed to the slots generally used in other Duel Disks. Rather than using microchips in the cards as the Duel Disks in Yu-Gi-Oh! were said to, these Duel Disks use advanced card recognition technology photographic processing that can be seen by the naked eye, not dissimilar from the technology used in the real-life Yu-Gi-Oh! NEURON application.

Numerous other Duel Disk prototypes were buried in a mine belonging to Mutsuba Heavy Machinery on the outskirts of Goha City. As with their modern counterparts, these Duel Disks are made from Gohanium and contain Duel ID cards, though due to their age the cards are extremely fragile.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!
The Duel Disks used in Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! closely resemble the Goha Enterprises Duel Disks from Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, having been reverse-engineered from Yuga Ohdo's own Goha Enterprises Duel Disk. They retain the hexagonal white body, with the Deck and Graveyard section being removable and shaped like a white box, and with yellow arrows on either side of the Deck Zone indicating which entrance is which.

The blade is structured similarly to the Goha Enterprises Duel Disks, but emerges from the back of the Duel Disk as opposed to the front and instead of a red number "7", the blade and body of the Duel Disk turn blue in a crude shape of the letter "G", and instead of triangular points, the ends of the blade are capped with the sides of a hexagon. Like the Goha Enterprises Duel Disks, the blade has slots beneath the Main Monster Zones for Spell and Trap Cards, a yellow triangle on the zones, and lighter blue sections at the front of the zones.

Real-Life Duel Disk
A replica of Yudias Velgear's Duel Disk was produced by Konami and released on December 17th, 2022. This version is visually identical to the previous Yuga Duel Disk, but can be customized with the included UTS sticker to resemble Yudias's version. In addition to the toy itself, the product includes replicas of Yudias, Yuhi, Yuamu, Zuwijo, and Manabu's Duel ID Cards, a set of five promotional cards: "Transamu Rainac - War To Zen!", "Jointech Leo", "Lightwave Dragon", "Dark Magician Girl", and "Magic Cylinder", and a pack of UTS card protectors. In addition to the features from the Yuga Duel Disk, the Yudias Duel Disk features the following changes:
* The SEVENS voice clips have been replaced by voice clips from the GO RUSH!! anime, including clips from Yudias, Yuhi, Yuamu, Zuwijo, and Manabu. Yudias's voice clips play by default; pushing in on the Life Point buttons while turning on the device will toggle voice clips for other characters.
* Pushing in on the leftmost and rightmost Main Monster Zones simultaneously will play a voice clip for Fusion Summoning.

|Yudias Velgear: Yudias's uses the Goha Enterprises Duel Disk seen in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, though the model had never been seen by the general public. Yuamu Ohdo later attaches a UTS sticker to it.

| Yuhi Ohdo/Yudias Velgear: During Yuhi's Duel with Tell Kawai, his Duel Disk malfunctions because it has been soaked in a laundry wash. Because of this, Valvelgear transforms to form a Duel Disk with the blue G, but retains its darker blue body. The transformation initially proved difficult for the ship to handle; it struggled to activate the effect of a Trap Card until a plug inside was connected. From this point onward, Yuhi uses this disk instead. Yudias also uses this Duel Disk for his Rush Duel with Rovian Kirishima, since his own disk was won by Yuna Goha after the latter defeated him in a Duel, though due to missing a thruster he is forced to only use two Monster Zones and two Spell & Trap Zones for most of the Duel.

| Zuwijo zir Velgear: Zuwijo's Duel Disk has a brown G with a golden body.
|
|-
| Rovian Kirishima: Rovian uses a Duel Guitar, similarly to Romin Kassidy, but Rovian's is the first to be an acoustic guitar. The body and head are white and has a red "R" over the sound hole, while the neck and saddle are black. The Deck and Graveyard section is concealed above the "R" and can be deployed when necessary, while the card zones are constantly tinted with the blue of a Duel Disk and are concealed beneath the saddle. There are also two sunken circular sections with a teal color.

| Phaser Ryugu/Tremolo Ryugu: Phaser and Tremolo's Duel Disks have a black G that briefly glows blue upon activation with a black body.
