Remove second person and unnecessary wording. "Decimate" means "remove one tenth". While its use on the contrary is common, the word is better avoided here.

"Harpie" (ハーピィ Hāpyi) is an archetype composed of femaleWIND Winged BeastDragon-and Beast monsters. "Harpie's BrotherMai Valentine" is not a Harpie, since his Japanese name is "Birdman" uses this archetype in the anime and manga.

Their name is also treated as "Harpie LadyRise of Destiny onward, however, " while in the playerHarpies" became more balanced and powerful with occasional support cards released. s Structure Deck: Lord of the Storm; a player can only have a combination of 3 has aided this archetype with cards whose name is treated such as "Harpie Lady" in their Deck. "Harpie QueenHysteric Party" and "Harpie Channeler's Pet Baby Dragon" are the exception to this rule, since its effect only has her name treated as "while also featuring a lot of other Harpie Lady" while she is on the field and -related cards in the Graveyardit. However this also mean that they are the only "Harpie Lady" that can't be searched by Afterwards, "Queen" or "was released in Elegant EgotistForce of the Breaker" but can be searched by , providing ways to search "Harpie ChannelerHarpies' Hunting Ground".
"Harpie Ladies" With the release of Lord of the Tachyon Galaxy, Harpies get some tremendous boost, while also solidifies the deck's focus of maintaining advantage and Xyz Summoning. "1Channeler"is essentially become the main card in all Harpie-based decks, as she can Special Summon another Harpie monster from the Deck while also assists Xyz Summoning of Rank 4 or 7, while "2Hysteric Sign", and helps searching either "3Elegant Egotist"or any Harpie cards you may need, depending on how you use it. The Xyz Monster in addition to this archetype, "Cyber Harpie Lady's Pet Phantasmal Dragon"can protect your other Harpie monsters from attacks or targeting effects, are treated along with direct-attacking ability as if their name is "Harpie Lady" at all times for all rules of the game, including in the Deck, hand and Side Deckwell.
==Media appearances==[[FileLegendary Collection 4:HarpiesDM30.png|thumb|left|"Harpie Lady Sisters" alongside "HarpieJoey's Pet DragonWorld provides more support for this archetype (while also reprinting important " in Duelist Kingdom.]]In the anime, the Harpie"Harpies" are the signature -related cards ). The effect of "Mai Valentine. She often begins with one "Harpie" card and uses support cards to accessorize and multiply it. Joey WheelerDancer also used some "Harpiecan be utilized for reaping more benefits from " cards as a reminder of his promise to save Mai from her Penalty Game. The three "Harpies Ladies" also appear as Duel Monster Spirits in Yu-Gi-Oh! GXHunting Ground", where they battle or providing more swarming capabilities when coupled with "Jesse AndersonDivine Wind of Mist Valley". In They also have the movie Spell Card, "Bonds Beyond TimeHarpie Lady Phoenix Formation" at , which can clear the begining opponent's field of monsters, but disallows the yugi part we can see womans wearing harpie lady customplayer from Special Summoning monsters from your Deck, Graveyard and skipping their Battle Phase.
In ==Maximum of 3 Rule=="Harpie Lady 1", "Harpie Lady 2", "Harpie Lady 3" and "Cyber Harpie Lady" have the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force seriesname condition"(This card's name is always treated as "Harpie Lady".)". Since they all have their name treated as "Harpie Lady" everywhere, including while in the player's Deck plays , a player can only have a total of 3 of any of these cards and/or the Normal Monster "HarpieLady" in their Main Deckand their Side Deck combined (for example, 1 "Harpie Lady", 1 "Cyber Harpie Lady", and 1 "Harpie Lady 2").
When "Harpie Queen" and other "Harpies" were released, they were after have an archetype without a lot of support (however, effect that treats their own name as "Harpie Lady" while they were also are on the first fleshed-out archetype)field or in the Graveyard. However, with since they are treated as their original name in the release of Rise of Destiny, "Harpies" became a more balanced and powerful archetype. Since thenDeck, Structure Deck 8: Lord it is possible to have up to 3 of the Storm has aided the "Harpie" archetype with each in addition to 3 cards such whose name is treated as "Hysteric Party". Furthermore, "Harpie QueenLady" was released in Force of the Breaker, and "Cyber Shield" was reintroduced as a common card in Storm of RagnarokDeck.
==Media appearances==In the anime, the "Harpies" gain new members and support, including are the release signature cards of the first Harpie Xyz Monster, "Harpie's Pet Mirage DragonMai Valentine", which is capable of attacking directly as well as protecting your other . She often begins with one "Harpie" monsters from attacks card and uses support cards to accessorize and targeting effects, as long as multiply it has Xyz Material. Also introduced is "Harpie ChannelerJoey Wheeler", which can Special Summon also used some "Harpie" monsters straight from your Deck by discarding 1 "Harpie" monster from your hand, cards as well as open up Rank 7 plays through it's level-changing effect. Additionally, a new Spell Card is introduced called "reminder of his promise to save Mai from her Hysteric SignPenalty Game", which can search for "Elegant Egotist" and, upon destruction, add 3 "Harpie" monsters with different names from your Deck straight to your hand.
==Censoring==A "Harpie Lady" also appears as a Duel Monster Spirit in .png|thumb|"She battles Harpie LadyJesse Andersonand his " in Japanese versionCrystal Beast Sapphire PegasusMost "Harpies" in the international release of the game, including all language prints except Japanese, and in the anime have been edited to appear to wear bodysuits while in the Japanese versions they wear much more revealing clothing. That same "Cyber Harpie Lady" and later uses the effect of "Harpie Lady SistersElegant Egotist" have had the spikes extruding from their armor removed due to the suggestiveness. Howevermultiply into 3, some earlier printings of a few of the "Harpie" cards outside of Japan (Specifically the original but they were defeated by "Harpie LadySapphire Pegasus" and "Harpie GirlTopaz Tiger") were printed without being censored.
==Play style=="Harpies" combine the ability to be rapidly summoned, to destroy the opponent's Spell and Trap Cards, to increase each others attack points and abilities, and to work together to protect each other. They do not have the ability to destroy Spell and Trap cards innately, but the Field Spell Card "Harpies' Hunting Ground" allows the controller of the summoned Harpie or harpies to destroy one Spell or Trap Card when a "Harpie Lady" card is Summoned in any way. They are one of the very few cards that can be Summoned en masse from the Graveyard through the effect of "Hysteric PartyAlexis Rhodes". Their support cards, "Harpie's Pet Baby DragonJasmine" and "Harpie's Pet DragonMindy", rapidly gain in power and usefulness through effects including protecting other "Harpie" cards and card destruction dress up as the "HarpiesHarpie Lady Sisters" swarm the field. Properly played, "Harpies" can overwhelm the opponent in moments with high attack power and powerful effects, but they are individually not too strong, so they are vulnerable to opponents who Summon strong single Monsters early to whittle down the number of "Harpies" on the field.<!Yu-Gi- NOTE: "Hysteric Party" works just like "Call of the Haunted" as you can use it's effect just once, then it sits useless on the fieldOh! GX. The discarding a card is an Activation Cost required to activate the card initially, not an ignition effect. -->
WIND Monsters have good capacity to Special Summon, and as such the Deck can be fast. Although some of the Monsters are weak, cards such as "In Harpie Lady 1Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time", "at the site of Pegasus"'s tournament, "Hunter Owl" and "Rising Air Current" can leave you with a field full one of enormous Monsters. The tendency of WIND Monsters to destroy Spell and Trap cards ("Raiza the Storm Monarchspectators cosplays as a " & "Harpies' Hunting Ground", even "Icarus AttackHarpie Lady") leaves you able to attack in relative safety.
A weakness of this deck is that most of In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom, the time your cards target all WIND MonstersHarpie Ladies are given names, and not just your own, such as the ATK boost each based on those of three Harpie sisters from cards like "Greek mythology:*Harpie Lady 1", "- Airo (from Aello, ", and storm swift")*Rising Air CurrentHarpie Lady 2". This makes commonly played cards like "- Ocupete (from Ocypete, " and the swift wing")*Raiza the Storm MonarchHarpie Lady 3" benefit - Keraino (from your own card effects. You may also add Monster-destroying cards such as "Celaeno, " & Icarus Attack". Since WIND Monsters usually have low ATK, they may not able to destroy today's commonly used Monsters. However, support from the new "Harpiedark" cards can be very powerful.)
Many cards from various packs can be quite useful if made an addition to a "Harpie Lady" deck. Many WIND Monsters, such as "In the Hunter Owl", "Simorgh, Bird of Ancestry" and "TwinYu-Gi-Headed BehemothOh! Tag Force" series, have useful effects that can help out in tough situations. In particular, "Stardust DragonJasmine" fits perfectly into this type of deck: it is a high level WIND Monster, and its effect allows you to negate plays a destructive effect, such as that of "Dark Hole" each turn as long as you can keep reviving Harpie"Stardust Dragon" with its own effect, making it a great boost to the Deck's theme of destroying and negating your opponent's Spell and Trap cards. Also, it can be used as a instant Beatstick with "Starlight Road".
If a player is going to use ===Censorship===Synchro Monsters, then they must use proper tunersFile:HarpieLady-JP-Anime-DM-NC. png|left|thumb|"Harpie Lady"Vortex in the Whirlwind" is a level 5 Synchro MonsterJapanese version with a swarming effect. Most "Glow-Up BulbHarpies" is easily on in the international release of the best tuners to use as you can use it twicegame, or use "Foolish Burial" to send it to your Graveyard. "Mist Valley Soldier" can be used with a "Harpy" to make "Stardust Dragon"including all language prints except Japanese, and, in an emergency, can be used with "Icarus Attack". "Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind" can be used with "Icarus Attack" and can cut anime have been edited to appear to wear bodysuits while in half an opponent's monster such as "Caius the Shadow Monarch", Japanese versions they wear much more revealing clothing. "Stardust DragonCyber Harpie Lady", and even "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon". More importantly, you can splash Harpie Lady Sisters"Blackwing Armor Master", who is immune have had the spikes extruding from their armor removed due to crippling cards such as "Shrink" and "Honest", and "Black Rose Dragon", who can clear the fieldsuggestiveness. "Dragunity Darkspear" can be used as either However, some earlier printings of a substitute few of "Monster Reborn" or used to summon the incredibly powerful "Dragunity Knight - TridentHarpie", who can eliminate the most popular archtypes in cards outside of Japan (specifically the game, such as original "Gladiator BeastHarpie Lady" and "BlackwingsHarpie Girl") were printed without being censored.
A possible card to use in this deck is ==Playing style=="Inferno Reckless SummonHarpies"combine the ability to be rapidly summoned, destroy the opponent's Spell and Trap Cards, and increase their own attack points. You can first use "Elegant Egotist"More recent Harpie support also places a focus on returning themselves and other monsters to the hand. They do not have the ability to destroy Spell and Trap cards innately, but their Field Spell Card, "SwallowHarpies's NestHunting Ground" allows them to destroy a Spell or "Hysteric Party" to Special Summon any Trap Card each time a "Harpie Lady" whose attack card is 1500 or less after applying continuous effects. Then use the effect of Summoned in any way, in addition to their iconic "Inferno Reckless SummonHarpie's Feather Duster" to summon more "Harpies". (You cannot use They can be Summoned from the Graveyard in large numbers through the effect of "Inferno Reckless SummonHysteric Party" with "Harpie Lady #1" because it will gain the extra 300 ATK instantly after being summoned . They also have access to the field, but, should you Special Summon a different "Harpie Lady" such as "Harpie Lady 2's Feather Storm" you would be able to use it as , one of the target monster for "most powerful Inferno Reckless SummonTrapsin the game that completely shuts down the opponent's" effectmonster effects for an entire turn. Properly played, and then Special Summon one or more "Harpie Lady 1Harpies".) Since many "Harpie" monsters can overwhelm the opponent in moments with high attack power and powerful effects, but they are treated as "Harpie Ladynot strong individually," you so they are vulnerable to opponents who can also use "Three overpower them, or destroy all of a Kind" to significantly clear the Fieldthem at once.
==Weaknesses==Despite the motliness in tactics that Cards like "HarpieChanneler"s are capable of, there are still Achilees heels witin this archetype that can be capitalized on. For instance"Elegant Egotist", "Poisonous WindsSummoner Monk" , and "Hysteric Party" allow the Deck to Summon multiple Harpies quickly and Summon multiple monsters from the Milus RadiantExtra Deck" can shave into ". Their main boss monster is the Synchro Cyber Slash Harpie" offenses of Lady which the former can also put use any "Harpie" Decks that are swarm-focused on holdmonster as a Tuner. AlsoThe deck can also Summon Rank 4 and Rank 7 Xyz Monsters, unless or various Link Monsters. Some popular Xyz Monsters include "HarpieIce Beast Zerofyne" cards get a significant ATK boost from , "Harpie Lady 1", Lightning Chidori"Harpie's Hunting Ground," "11: Big Eye", and "Hunter OwlMecha Phantom Beast Dracossack" or even . Link monsters include "Rising Air CurrentHarpie Conductor", "King Tiger WanghuGreatfly" , and "Deck Devastation VirusSimorgh, Bird of Sovereignty" . Harpies can effectively stop them from taking roost onto easily perform the FieldUtopia Double OTK against any monster with 2000 or less ATK (this can be further utilized with "Pentestag" to OTK over monsters with 2000 or less DEF).
Also within the Deck itself, the ATK boost from cards like Harpies also excel at generating card advantage. "Harpie Lady 1's Feather Rest", acts similarly to "BladeflyPot of Avarice", and . "Rising Air CurrentHysteric Sign" applies can search up to every WIND monster. This makes commonly played meta 3 cards like "in the Elemental HERO StratosEnd Phase, including the powerful "Harpie's Feather Duster" and "Harpie's Feather Storm". "Raiza the Storm MonarchWing Requital" benefit from your own card effectsis also an option to draw even more cards when any two Harpies with different original names are on the field.

In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Falsebound Kingdom===Weaknesses===Despite the many powerful combos that "Harpies" are capable of, there are still weaknesses within this archetype that can be capitalized on. For instance, most "Harpie" monsters, except "Cyber Harpie Lady", "Harpie Queen", "Harpie's Pet Dragon" and "Harpie', the Harpie Ladies s Pet Phantasmal Dragon" are given namesgenerally low in original ATK, each based on those of three Harpy sisters from Greek mythologymaking them unsuitable in battle against most high-ATK monsters.
Since this archetype have emphasis on rapid Special Summoning, anti-Special Summoning cards like "Vanity's Emptiness" and "Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo" can be hazardous against this Deck. "Harpie Lady 1El Shaddoll Winda - Airo " can also pose problems as well (from Aello, albeit "storm swiftHysteric Party"can somewhat bypass this).
The Harpies' name-changing effect is more of a hindrance than a help. It prevents the summoning of monsters that require materials with different names, such as the "Harpie Lady 2Knightmare " cards and "Black Luster Soldier - Ocupete (from Ocypete, Soldier of Chaos". Negation effects such as "Effect Veiler"the swift wingor ") Harpie Lady 3Breakthrough Skill " will cause the Harpies to lose their name- Keraino (from Celaenochanging ability, which means "Elegant Egotist" cannot be activated since it specifically requires "Harpie Lady"to be on the field, rendering the dark")cards completely useless.
