The '''Signers''' are the only group that can summon the legendary [[Crimson Dragon]], the embodiment of the red star. Each birthmark represents a part of the Red Crimson Dragon God, as these marks themselves are actually broken pieces of the ancient divine red dragon Crimson Dragon itself, that later were divided into five six parts. (Although in In the dub , [[Rex Goodwin]] has stated that he is the fifth signer, this contradicts Signer; in the original anime until later onJapanese version, he only becomes the fifth Signer when he later infuses Roman's arm onto himself.) It is known that their The Signers' powers were awakened by [[Rex Goodwin]] himself through the [[Fortune Cup]]. According to Goodwin, he did it so that they would defeat their archenemies, the "[[Dark SignersSigner]]"s, along with the task of closing and close the door to the "Underworld"Netherworld.

==History==Before "[[Blackfeather Black-Winged Dragon]]" was revealed as a Signer Dragon, a different [[fifth Signer Dragon]] that resembled , "[[Power Tool Life Stream Dragon]] " was shown participating in the ancient battle between the [[Crimson Dragon]] and the [[Earthbound Immortal]]s. It is unknown what exactly happened to "Black-Winged Dragon" after the battle against the Crimson Devil, [[Red Nova]]. The same goes for "Life Stream Dragon" after the battle against the Earthbound Immortalsbefore it was encased in armor to form "[[Power Tool Dragon]]".

Jack Atlas[[Yusei Fudo]]' s mark represents was originally the WingsTail, Yusei[[Jack Atlas]]'s was represents the TailWings, [[Akiza Izinski]] and [[Luna and Akiza]]'s birthmarks each represent one of a claw (the former's being the Foot and the dragonlatter's Clawsbeing the Hand), and [[RomanGoodwin]]'s was the Head mark. However, during the ultimate [[Shadow Duel|Shadow Turbo Duel]] against [[Rex Goodwin]], the Tail and Head birthmarks Marks are transferred, : the Dragon Head is now under the possession of [[Yusei Fudo]]; with while the Dragon's Tail (that was formerly Yusei's) choosing chooses [[Crow Hogan]] as its new owner, making him the new fifth Signer (the head mark Head Mark signifies a leader of sorts, choosing Yusei as its new owner). Ultimately, a new mark, the Heart (seen on the full Dragon Mark in the claws of the Crimson Dragon), was bestowed to [[Yusei Fudo|YuseiLeo]] when he sacrificed himself during his Duel against [[Aporia]] as alongside Luna and Jack and was revived, making him the new one)sixth Signer.

It is interesting to note that both [[Jack Atlas|Both Jack]] and [[Roman Goodwin|Roman]] had their Marks marks from birth while [[Akiza Izinski|, whereas Akiza]] got hers her mark at a young age (, Luna received her Mark hers after she went to the spirit world [[Duel Monsters Spirit World|Spirit World]] the first time) and [[, Yusei Fudo]] did not receive his Mark until Episode 5. and it was not permanently burnt in until Episode 25, and Crow was the last Signer to receive a Markand Leo received theirs in Episodes 64 and 142 respectively.

Unlike their counterparts, the [[Dark SignersSigner]], counterparts whose [[Mark of the Shadows]] and [[Earthbound Immortals]] are connected, a Signer's Mark of the Dragon and Signer Dragon are connected only to the Signer and not to each other, as shown when Yusei inherited the Head Mark but kept "[[Stardust Dragon]]".

A Signer's birthmark mark throbs and glows while they are in close proximity of one of the Dragons when it is fighting with a great deal of determination, particularly for the sake of their Signer. A Signer's birthmark mark glows and painfully digs into their arm, when they are in the presence of a [[Dark Signers|Dark Signer]].

A Signer's mark also glows while in the company of the [[Team Ragnarok]]. ==Trivia==* Prior to appearing in the anime, the Heart Mark of the Crimson Dragon debuted in the video game ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia]]'' when [[Rex Goodwin]] was showing the player and the real Signers can seemingly use their marks the temple under his mansion.* Originally, it was planned for Leo to locate other Signers if they focus enoughreceive a Signer Mark earlier on, while Crow would play a different role.
