** But we title articles using names in Western order or the order used in official sources.
* "Bakura" is his surname in the Japanese version and the English manga.
** In the English anime, unless I'm mistaken, he's only ever called "Bakura" and it never clarifies if that's the surname or first name. In cases like that, I think it's fine to assume the full name is the same as the Japanese. Unless there is an official source that says otherwise. We have an official source now. It's unlikely to be a mistake, as it's also what he's called in ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel]]'', ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour]]'' and ''[[Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium Duels]]''.
* "Ryo", "Ryou" and "Ryō are all acceptable ways of romanising {{Ruby|了|りょう}}.
** In cases like that we nearly always use the unmacroned (Ryo) for the English name. But if an official source uses another method, we use that. e.g. [[Yugi Mutou (manga)]].
