Wyrm-Type monsters resemble dragons, but unlike [[Dragon]]-Type monsters, they take more of a spiritual, mythical and phantasmal look. Currently all of them, except "[[Metaphized Armed Dragon]]", are part of the "[[Yang Zing]]" archetype, which seems to be based on Chinese dragons and/or other animals within the lore of China such as tigers (some may be a mix of the two), resembling "[[Tiger Dragon]]" and "[[Orient Dragon]]" (which are both Dragon-Types, not Wyrm-Types). "[[Metaphization]]", the type's first generic support card, hints that there is a relationship between the Dragon-Type and the Wyrm-Type.
