• This card was the first and last Synchro Monster that Yusei Fudo summoned, as well as the first and last Synchro Summon in the anime.

• In promotional materials for Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, this monster in spirit form is seen flying alongside Yusei Fudo's Duel Runner.

• "Junk Warrior" appears alongside Yusei, during eyecatchers of Japanese episodes in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. It is replaced by "Stardust Dragon" during the second season.

• "Junk Warrior's" effect in the anime is Continuous. "Junk Warrior" will constantly have its ATK modified any time a Level 2 or lower monster is added or removed from the controller's field.

• Its attack name in the English and Japanese animes is "Scrap Fist". In the Japanese anime, when it is equipped with "Armory Arm", its attack is called "Power Gear Fist" and its effect is called "Power of Fellows", as mentioned by Dexter in episode 24.

• This was the Featured Card in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's episode 1, as well as the last episode, episode 154: "Shining Forth to the Future."

• When Yusei Synchro Summons "Junk Warrior", he says in Japanese, "Clustering stars will call upon a new force! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Junk Warrior!".

• "Junk Warrior" appears in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's opening themes "Kizuna" and "Hyper Drive".

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

• In episode 1, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Trudge. He Synchro Summons it by tuning his "Speed Warrior" with his "Junk Synchron". Yusei then uses "Speed Spell - Vision Wind" to summon back his "Speed Warrior". "Junk Warrior"'s effect then increases its ATK equal to "Speed Warrior"'s ATK. Yusei then uses "Junk Warrior" to attack and destroy Trudge's "Handcuffs Dragon". However, this activates "Handcuffs Dragon"'s effect causes it to equip itself to "Junk Warrior" and decrease its ATK by 1800. Yusei then activates "Equip Shot" which equips "Handcuffs Dragon" to "Montage Dragon", decreasing its ATK by 1800 instead and forcing "Junk Warrior" and "Montage Dragon" to battle each other. This in turn destroys "Montage Dragon" and wins Yusei the duel.

• In episode 2, Yusei uses this card in his Ground Duel against Lenny. He Synchro Summons it by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". He then equips "Junk Warrior" with "Fighting Spirit" and since Lenny had three monsters out on his field, "Fighting Spirit" gave this card 900 more ATK. Yusei then uses "Junk Warrior" to destroy "Chainsaw Insect". "Retribution of the Antlion" then inflicts 800 damage to Lenny. Yusei then uses the effect of "Domino Effect" to send "Fighting Spirit" and "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to the Graveyard and destroy "Metal Armored Bug" and "Doom Dozer". The effect of "Retribution of the Antlion" then activates twice in a row, inflicting 1600 damage to Lenny and winning Yusei the Duel. In the same episode, Yusei uses this card in a flashback Ground Duel against Jack Atlas. This card attacks "Mad Archfiend", but Jack activates "Shadow Spell", immobilizing this card and decreasing its ATK by 700. "Mad Archfiend" then destroys this card, defeating Yusei. This card can also be seen on a table in a flashback that Yusei and his friends have when they remember trying to create their first Duel Runner.

• In episode 3, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Trudge. He Synchro Summons it by tuning his "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". He then uses "Junk Warrior" to destroy "Gonogo". Trudge then destroys this card with "Goyo Guardian". Trudge then uses "Goyo Guardian's" effect to summon "Junk Warrior" to his side of the field in Defense Position. Yusei later took back his "Junk Warrior" with "Speed Spell - Dash Pilfer". He then tunes this card with "Nitro Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Nitro Warrior".

• In episode 4, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Jack. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Quillbolt Hedgehog" with "Junk Synchron". This card then destroys "Mad Archfiend". Next turn, Yusei summons "Speed Warrior". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Speed Warrior". Once Yusei enters his Battle Phase, the ATK of "Speed Warrior" doubles until the end of the Battle Phase. "Speed Warrior" then destroys "Twin-Shield Defender". This however activates the effect of "Twin-Shield Defender", halving this card's ATK until the End Phase. Yusei then attacks Jack directly with this card. This card regains the ATK it lost due to the effect of "Twin-Shield Defender" on the End Phase. This card's ATK returns back to 2300 when "Speed Warrior" is destroys by "Multiple Piece Golem". In the next episode, Yusei switches this card into Defense Position. Jack Atlas then destroys this card with "Red Dragon Archfiend".

• In episode 11, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Tetsu Trudge. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Quillbolt Hedgehog" with "Junk Synchron". Trudge then activates "Discord Counter" to return this card back to the Extra Deck and summon both "Junk Synchron" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" back to the field in its place while also preventing Yusei from summoning any monsters until the End Phase of his next turn.

• In episode 13, Yusei uses this card in his Ground Duel against Leo. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then tunes this card with "Nitro Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Nitro Warrior".

• In episode 17, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Hunter Pace. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Quillbolt Hedgehog". This card then attacks Skull Flame, but Hunter uses the effect of "Speed Booster" to negate the attack. This card is later destroyed by "Speed Spell - The End of the Storm".

• In episode 21, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Greiger. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks Greiger directly, but Greiger activates the second effect of "Chariot Pile" to destroy this card. Yusei later uses "Synchro Spirits" to banish this card and summon "Junk Synchron" and "Speed Warrior" to the field. Yusei later tunes "Tuningware" with "Junk Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Armory Arm". Since "Tuningware" was sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon, its effect allows Yusei to draw one card which was then revealed to be "Speed Spell - Synchro Return". Yusei then uses "Synchro Return" to Special Summon this card back to the field. He then equips this card with "Armory Arm", increasing its ATK by 1000. This card then attacks and destroys "Dark Strike Fighter". The effect of "Armory Arm" then inflicts damage to Greiger equal to the ATK of "Dark Strike Fighter", winning Yusei the Duel.

• In episode 23, this card is seen on the bottom of Yusei's Deck before he places "Stardust Dragon" on top of it. This card is also seen on a sphere monitor that was showing the game end move that Yusei made during his Turbo Duel with Greiger.

• In episode 24, Yusei uses this card in his Ground Duel against Akiza Izinski. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then equips this card with "Junk Barrage". He then uses this card to attack and destroy Akiza's "Rose Tentacles". "Junk Barrage" then inflicts damage to Akiza equal to half the ATK of "Rose Tentacles". On Akiza's turn, this card becomes a Plant-type monster due to the effect of "Ivy Shackles". Akiza then uses the effect of "Copy Plant" to make its Level the same as this card's Level (which was 5). Akiza then revived "Dark Verger" via its own effect. Akiza then tunes "Dark Verger" with "Copy Plant" to Synchro Summon "Black Rose Dragon". Akiza then uses the effect of "Black Rose Dragon" to banish "Wall of Ivy" and reduce this card's ATK to 0 until the End Phase. Akiza then attacks this card with "Black Rose Dragon", but Yusei banishes "Shield Warrior" to prevent this card from being destroyed by battle this turn. Yusei then activates "Spirit Force" to reduce the Battle Damage he takes to 0 and add "Junk Synchron" from his Graveyard to his hand. On Akiza's End Phase, this card regains all the ATK that it lost due to the effect of "Black Rose Dragon". Since Akiza's turn is now over, this card's type is changed from Plant back to Warrior. On Yusei's turn, Yusei summons "Junk Synchron" to the field. The effect of "Junk Synchron" was then used to bring back "Speed Warrior". This in turn increases the ATK of this card by the ATK of "Speed Warrior". Yusei then tunes this card with "Junk Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".

• In episode 25, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Jack Atlas. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Shield Wing" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks and destroys Jack's "Twin-Sword Marauder". Yusei then activates "Synchro Blast" to inflict 500 points of damage to Jack after Damage Calculation. In the next episode, Jack's "Red Dragon Archfiend" attacks and destroys this card. Yusei later uses "Descending Lost Star" to revive this card with its effects negated, its DEF reduced to 0 and its Level reduced by 1. Yusei then summons "Hyper Synchron" to the field. He then tunes this card with "Hyper Synchron" to Synchro Summon" "Stardust Dragon".

• In episode 27, Yusei Fudo uses this card in his Ground Duel against Grady while the latter was a Shadow Drone. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then uses this card to attack and destroy "Blizzard Lizard". This however activates its effect, inflicting 300 damage to Yusei. In the next episode, Grady destroys this card using "Dark Tuner Catastrogue's" effect (as he uses the latter for a Dark Synchro Summon). Yusei later used "Descending Lost Star" to revive this card with its effects negated, its DEF reduced to 0, and its Level reduced by 1. Yusei then Tributes this card to Special Summon "Turret Warrior".

• In episode 33, this card is shown in a flashback explained by Jack. There, Yusei is shown using this card in his Ground Duel against a member of the Magician's Four. This card then attacks the Magician's Four member directly, winning Yusei the Duel.

• In episode 34, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Kalin Kessler. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks "Infernity Beast", but Kalin activates the effect of "Depth Amulet" to negate the attack. Later, Kalin attacks this card with "Hundred Eyes Dragon". Yusei tries to activate "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" in response, but because "Hundred Eyes Dragon" is currently copying the effect of "Infernity Beast", Yusei is forbidden from activating Spells and Traps until the end of the Damage Step. The attack continues, destroying this card.

• In episode 55, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Kalin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then activates "Synchro Striker Unit", equipping it to this card and increasing its ATK by 1000. "Max Warrior" then attacks "Infernity Archfiend", but Kalin activates "Infernity Force" to destroy "Max Warrior" and revive "Infernity Necromancer". This card then attacks and destroys "Hundred Eyes Dragon". Kalin then uses the effect of "Hundred Eyes Dragon" to add "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" from his Deck to his hand. On Yusei's End Phase, "Synchro Striker Unit" decreases this card's ATK by 800. "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" later attacks Yusei directly via its own effect, but Yusei activates "Baton of the Hero" to redirect the attack to this card, destroying it. "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" then inflicts damage to Yusei equal to this card's ATK, but Yusei activates "Burst Synchro Summon" to reduce the damage to 0 and Special Summon "Stardust Dragon" from his Extra Deck with its effects negated and the Summoning Conditions ignored.

• In episode 56, Yusei Fudo uses this card in his Ground Duel against Roman Goodwin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Level Eater" with "Quickdraw Synchron"("Quickdraw Synchron's" Level was reduced by one at the timing due to Yusei using the effect of "Level Eater" on it. It was also treated as "Junk Synchron" at the timing due to the effect of "Quickdraw Synchron"). This card then attacks Roman directly. Roman then activates "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" to Special Summon one "Dark Spider" from his hand and one "Dark Spider" from his Deck. Roman then Tributes both "Dark Spiders" to summon "Earthbound Immortal Uru". "Uru" then attacks Yusei directly via its own effect, but Yusei activates "Synchro Barrier" to Tribute this card and prevent himself from taking any Battle Damage from the attack.

• In episode 58, this card is shown in the hands of Jack Atlas as he duels against the dark signer Carly. You can see it before he summons power supply.

• In episode 65, this card appears in a flashback Trudge has when he notes that his life changed by meeting Yusei.

• In episode 71, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Sherry LeBlanc. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks "Centaur Mina", but Sherry activates "Fleur Guard" to prevent "Centaur Mina" from being destroyed by the attack, however she still takes damage. On Sherry's next turn, she Synchro Summons "Chevalier de Fleur". "Chevalier de Fleur" then attacks this card, but Yusei activates "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to negate the attack, however Sherry then activates the effect of "Chevalier de Fleur" to negate the effect of "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" and destroy it. The attack continues, destroying this card. Yusei then activates "Miracle's Wake" to Special Summon this card from the Graveyard. In the next episode, Yusei Normal Summons "Turbo Synchron". He then tunes this card with "Turbo Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Turbo Warrior". "Turbo Warrior" then attacks "Chevalier de Fleur" with the former's effect halving the ATK of "Chevalier de Fleur" until the end of the Damage Step, but Sherry activates "For Our Dreams" to Tribute "Apprentice Knight" and prevent her "Chevalier de Fleur" from being destroyed, however she still takes damage. Since the Damage Step is now over, "Chevalier de Fleur's" ATK goes back to normal. Yusei then activates "Synchro Out" to return "Turbo Warrior" to his Extra Deck and Special Summon back this card and "Turbo Synchron". Sherry did not activate the effect of her "Chevalier de Fleur" as she believed that Yusei getting rid of "Turbo Warrior" would make things easier for her. Yusei then activates "Urgent Tuning" to perform a Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase, but Sherry activates the effect of "Chevalier de Fleur" to negate the effect of "Urgent Tuning" and destroy it. Sherry then activates "Chain Close" to prevent Yusei from activating any Spells or Traps this turn. Yusei then attacks "Chevalier de Fleur" with "Turbo Synchron" while using the effect of "Turbo Synchron" to switch "Chevalier de Fleur" into Defense Position. The attack fails, but Yusei activates the effect of "Turbo Synchron", Special Summoning "Junk Collector" from his hand. Yusei then activates the effect of "Junk Collector" to banish itself and "Urgent Tuning" to activate the effect of "Urgent Tuning" as the effect of "Junk Collector", allowing Yusei to conduct a Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase. Yusei then tunes this card with "Turbo Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Turbo Warrior". Later "Noble Knight Joan", powered down by its own effect, attacks Yusei directly, but Yusei activates "Synchro Spirits" to banish this card and Special Summon "Junk Synchron" and "Speed Warrior" from the Graveyard. A replay occurs and Sherry has "Noble Knight Joan" attack and destroys "Junk Synchron".

• In episode 73, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Jack. He activates "Synchro Deception" to send this card from his Extra Deck to the Graveyard in order to increase the ATK of "Backup Warrior" by half of this card's ATK until the End Phase.

• In episode 81, Yusei uses this card in his Ground Duel against the Guard Robot. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Level Eater" due to its effect. On the Guard Robot's turn, it activates "Level Limit - Area B" which switches all Level 4 or above monsters into Defense Position. Since this card is Level 5, "Level Limit - Area B" switches this card into Defense Position. In the next episode, Yusei activates "Synchro Gift" to reduce the ATK of this card to 0 and increase the ATK of "Level Eater" by this card's original ATK until the End Phase. "Level Eater" then attacks "Lock Dragon", but the Guard Robot activates "Negate Attack" to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. On Yusei's End Phase, the effect of "Synchro Gift" wears off, returning this card's ATK to 2900 and returning the ATK of "Level Eater" to 600. On the final turn, Yusei activates "Double Cyclone" to destroy his set "Graceful Revival" and the Guard Robot's "Counter Force", but the Guard Robot activates "Solemn Judgment", paying half its Life Points to negate the effect of "Double Cyclone" and destroy it. Yusei then Tributes "Level Eater" to summon "Earthquake Giant". Due to the effect of "Level Limit - Area B", "Earthquake Giant" is switched to Defense Mode as its Level is greater than 3. This activates the effect of "Earthquake Giant", allowing Yusei to switch "Lock Dragon" into Attack Position. Since "Lock Dragon" was no longer in Defense Mode, both players were allowed to Special Summon monsters. Yusei then activates "Panic Wave" to destroy his set "Graceful Revial" and negate the effects of all Continuous Spell Cards and Continuous Trap Cards the Guard Robot controls. Yusei then tunes this card with "Drill Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".

• In episode 87, Yusei uses this card in his Ground Duel against Kalin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Boost Warrior" due to its effect. The effect of "Boost Warrior" then increases the ATK of this card by 300. This card then attacks and destroys "Infernity Destroyer". Kalin then uses the effect of "Infernity Avenger" to Special Summon it from the Graveyard and make its Level the same as the Level of "Infernity Destroyer". In the next episode, Kalin uses the effect of "Infernity Doom Dragon" to destroy this card and inflict half its ATK as damage to Yusei.

• In episode 102, Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Jean. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Synchron Explorer" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then activates "Speed Spell - Speed Fusion" to fuse "Stardust Dragon" with this card to Fusion Summon "Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste".
  • This card also appears in Jean's thoughts when he was deducing what Yusei was planning to do with "Summon Tax" and "Reflect Barrier". Jean notes that in order for Yusei to win with that combo, he would need to summon a monster that has at least 2000 ATK which Jean finds unlikely to occur.

• In episode 154, Yusei Fudo summons this card one last time using "Junk Synchron" and "Sonic Warrior". Then Sonic Warrior gives "Sonic Chick", "Speed Warrior" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" each 400 additional ATK. Then Yusei activates "Junk Warrior's" effect (Power of Fellows) and raises its ATK to 5500. This card attacks and destroys Jack's "Red Dragon Archfiend".

Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time

• Yusei uses this card in his Turbo Duel against Paradox. He tunes this card with "Junk Synchron" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".

Scripted Duels

• In the non-canon duel North American WCQ 2011 Special: Yugi vs. Yusei, Yusei summons this card using "Junk Synchron" and "Speed Warrior" as Synchro Material. It is targeted by Yugi's "Spellbinding Circle", but "Spellbinding Circle" is destroyed by Yusei's "Double Cyclone". "Junk Warrior" then attacks and destroys Yugi's "Chimera the Flying Mythical Beast". On his next turn, Yusei uses "Junk Warrior" to attack Yugi's "Dark Magician Girl", although the attack fails due to Yugi's "Magical Hats". The next turn, "Junk Warrior" is attacked and destroyed by Yugi's "Dark Magician Girl" equipped with "Magic Formula".

• In the non-canon duel YCS Providence 2012 Special: Yusei vs. Akiza, Yusei summons this card using "Junk Synchron" and "Tuningware" as Synchro Material. "Junk Warrior" gains 1100 ATK from its own effect with the presence of "Nitro Synchron" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog". He then equips it with "Armory Arm", giving "Junk Warrior" a total of 4400 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys Akiza's "Witch of the Black Rose". The next turn, this card is destroyed by the effect of Akiza's "Black Rose Dragon". Later, Yusei Special Summons this card as a Level 4 monster with "Descending Lost Star". The same turn, it is used as Synchro Material with "Bri Synchron" for "Stardust Dragon".
