  • This card was the first and last Synchro Monster that Yusei Fudo summoned, as well as the first and last Synchro Summon in the anime.
  • "Junk Warrior" appears alongside Yusei during eyecatchers of Japanese episodes in the first season of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's. It is replaced by "Stardust Dragon" during the second season.
  • "Junk Warrior" appears in the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's opening themes "Kizuna" and "Hyper Drive".
  • Its attack name in both versions is "Scrap Fist". In the original anime, when it is equipped with "Armory Arm", its attack is called "Power Gear Fist" and its effect is called "Power of Fellows", as mentioned by Dexter in episode 24.
  • When Yusei Synchro Summons "Junk Warrior", his Summon chant in Japanese is: "Clustering stars will call upon a new force! Become the path its light shines upon! Synchro Summon! Show yourself, Junk Warrior!"

Fortune Cup[edit]

  • In episode 1, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Trudge. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then activates "Speed Spell - Vision Wind" to Special Summon "Speed Warrior" from his Graveyard. Due to this card's effect, it gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Speed Warrior". Yusei then uses "Junk Warrior" to attack and destroy Trudge's "Handcuffs Dragon". This activates the effect of "Handcuffs Dragon", equipping itself to this card and decreasing its ATK by 1800. Yusei then activates "Equip Shot" to equip "Handcuffs Dragon" to "Montage Dragon", decreasing its ATK by 1800 and restoring this card's ATK to 3200. "Equip Shot" then forces this card and "Montage Dragon" to battle each other. This card then destroys "Montage Dragon" and wins Yusei the duel.
  • In episode 2, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Lenny. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then equips this card with "Fighting Spirit". Since Lenny had three monsters on his side of the field, "Fighting Spirit" increases this card's ATK by 900. After Yusei activates "Domino Effect", he uses this card to attack and destroy "Chainsaw Insect". The effect of "Retribution of the Ant Lion" then activates, inflicting 800 damage to Lenny. Yusei then activates the effect of "Domino Effect" to send "Fighting Spirit" and "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to the Graveyard and destroy "Metal Armored Bug" and "Doom Dozer". The effect of "Retribution of the Ant Lion" then activates twice, inflicting 1600 damage to Lenny and winning Yusei the Duel.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback that occurred two years ago (which was shown at the beginning of the episode). Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Jack Atlas. This card attacks "Mad Archfiend", but Jack activates "Shadow Spell" to immobilize this card and decrease its ATK by 700. "Mad Archfiend" then attacks and destroys this card, defeating Yusei.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Tank has when he reminds his friends that they were deeply moved when Yusei created a Duel Runner. This card can be seen on a table as Yusei was creating the Duel Runner.
  • In episode 3, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Trudge. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning his "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks and destroys "Gonogo". Later "Goyo Guardian" attacks and destroys this card. Trudge then activates the effect of "Goyo Guardian" to revive this card in Defense Position and under his control. On the last turn of the Duel, Yusei activates "Speed Spell - Dash Pilfer" to take control of this card and switch it to Attack Position. He then tunes this card with "Nitro Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Nitro Warrior".
  • In episode 4, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Jack. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Quillbolt Hedgehog" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks and destroys "Mad Archfiend". On Yusei's next turn, he Normal Summons "Speed Warrior". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Speed Warrior" due to its own effect. After Yusei enters his Battle Phase, the ATK of "Speed Warrior" doubles until the end of the Battle Phase. "Speed Warrior" then attacks and destroys "Twin-Shield Defender". This activates the effect of "Twin-Shield Defender", halving this card's ATK until the End Phase. This card then attacks directly. Jack then activates "Spacegate", which gains two Gate Counters at the end of the Battle Phase due to two of Yusei's monsters attacking this turn. On Yusei's End Phase, the effect of "Twin-Shield Defender" expires. After "Multiple Piece Golem" attacks and destroys "Speed Warrior", this card's ATK returns to its original value. In the next episode, Yusei switches this card to Defense Position. "Red Dragon Archfiend" then attacks and destroys this card.
    • In the first above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Jack has when he explains how "Spacegate" works.
  • In episode 6, this card is seen on the sphere monitor that was showing the Turbo Duel between Yusei and Jack.
  • In episode 11, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Tetsu Trudge. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Quillbolt Hedgehog" with "Junk Synchron". Trudge then activates "Discord Counter" to return this card to the Extra Deck and Special Summon "Junk Synchron" and "Quillbolt Hedgehog" from Yusei's Graveyard to his side of the field.
  • In episode 13, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Leo. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then tunes this card with "Nitro Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Nitro Warrior".
  • In episode 17, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Hunter Pace. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Quillbolt Hedgehog" due to its own effect. This card then attacks "Skull Flame", but Hunter activates the first effect of "Speed Booster" to negate the attack. Later Hunter activates "Speed Spell - The End of the Storm" to destroy all monsters on the field and inflict 300 damage to both players for each of their destroyed monsters. Hunter takes 300 damage due to one of his monsters being destroyed and Yusei takes 600 damage due to two of his monsters being destroyed.
  • In episode 21, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Greiger. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks directly, but Greiger activates the second effect of "Chariot Pile" to negate the attack and destroy this card. Later Yusei banishes this card from his Graveyard in order to activate "Synchro Spirits". On the last turn of the Duel, Yusei activates "Speed Spell - Synchro Return" to Special Summon this banished card. Yusei then activates the first effect of "Armory Arm" to equip it onto this card, increasing its ATK by 1000. This card then attacks and destroys "Dark Strike Fighter". The final effect of "Armory Arm" then activates, inflicting damage to Greiger equal to the ATK of "Dark Strike Fighter" and winning Yusei the Duel.
  • In episode 23, this card is seen at the bottom of Yusei's Deck before he places "Stardust Dragon" on top of it.
    • This card is also shown on the Sphere monitor while it was depicting the events that occurred during the two semi-final duels.
  • In episode 24, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Akiza Izinski. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then equips this card with "Junk Barrage". This card then attacks and destroys "Rose Tentacles". "Junk Barrage" then inflicts damage to Akiza equal to half the ATK of "Rose Tentacles". On Akiza's next turn, this card becomes a Plant-type monster due to the effect of "Ivy Shackles". Akiza then Normal Summons "Copy Plant" and activates its effect to make its Level the same as this card's (which was 5). Akiza then revives "Dark Verger" via its own effect. and tunes "Dark Verger" with "Copy Plant" in order to Synchro Summon "Black Rose Dragon". Akiza then activates the second effect of "Black Rose Dragon" to banish "Wall of Ivy" from her Graveyard and reduce this card's ATK to 0 until the End Phase. "Black Rose Dragon" then attacks this card, but Yusei banishes "Shield Warrior" from his Graveyard to prevent this card from being destroyed by battle this turn. Yusei then activates "Spirit Force" to reduce the Battle Damage he takes to 0 and add "Junk Synchron" from his Graveyard to his hand. On Akiza's End Phase, the second effect of "Black Rose Dragon" and the effect of "Ivy Shackles" deactivates. After Yusei revives "Speed Warrior" via the effect of "Junk Synchron", this card gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Speed Warrior" due to its own effect. Yusei then tunes this card with "Junk Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".

Dark Signers[edit]

  • In episode 33, this card is shown in a flashback Crow has when he remembers the days in which Kalin was Yusei, Jack, and his friend, and that they (as the Enforcers) would defeat other groups in Satellite and claim the locations by the defeated groups and set some sort of satisfaction to their living situation. Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against a member of the Magician's Four. This card then attacks directly, winning Yusei the Duel.
  • In episode 34, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Kalin Kessler. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks "Infernity Beast", but Kalin activates the effect of "Depth Amulet" to negate the attack. Later "Hundred Eyes Dragon" attacks this card. Yusei tries to activate "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" in response, but due to the effect of "Infernity Beast" ("Hundred Eyes Dragon" gains the effects of all DARK monsters in Kalin's Graveyard), Yusei is forbidden from activating Spells and Traps until the end of the Damage Step. "Hundred Eyes Dragon" then destroys this card.
  • In episode 55, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Kalin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Yusei then activates "Synchro Striker Unit", equipping it to this card and increasing its ATK by 1000. "Max Warrior" then attacks "Infernity Archfiend", but Kalin activates "Infernity Force" to destroy "Max Warrior" and revive "Infernity Necromancer". This card then attacks and destroys "Hundred Eyes Dragon". Kalin then activates the last effect of "Hundred Eyes Dragon" to add "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" from his Deck to his hand. On Yusei's End Phase, "Synchro Striker Unit" decreases this card's ATK by 800. Later "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" attacks directly via its own effect, but Yusei activates "Baton of the Hero" to redirect the attack to this card, destroying it instead. "Earthbound Immortal Ccapac Apu" then inflicts damage to Yusei equal to this card's ATK, but Yusei activates "Burst Synchro Summon" to reduce the damage to 0 and Special Summon "Stardust Dragon" from his Extra Deck with its effects negated and the Summoning Conditions ignored.
    • In the English dub of this episode, this card is referred to as "Speed Warrior" by Yusei.
  • In episode 56, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Roman Goodwin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Level Eater" with "Quickdraw Synchron" (who was Level 4 due to it being affected by the effect of "Level Eater"). This card then attacks directly. Roman then activates "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" to Special Summon one "Dark Spider" from his hand and one "Dark Spider" from his Deck. Later Yusei Tributes this card in order to activate "Synchro Barrier".
    • In the English dub of this episode, this card is referred to as "Speed Warrior" by Roman.

Pre-World Racing Grand Prix[edit]

  • In episode 65, this card appears in a flashback Trudge has when he notes that his life changed after meeting Yusei.
  • In episode 71, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Sherry LeBlanc. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then attacks "Centaur Mina", but Sherry activates "Fleur Guard" to prevent "Centaur Mina" from being destroyed by battle, however she still takes Battle Damage. On Sherry's next turn, "Chevalier de Fleur" attacks this card, but Yusei activates "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" to negate the attack, however Sherry then activates the effect of "Chevalier de Fleur" to negate the effect of "Scrap-Iron Scarecrow" and destroy it. "Chevalier de Fleur" then destroys this card. Yusei then activates "Miracle's Wake" to revive this card. In the next episode, Yusei tunes this card with "Turbo Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Turbo Warrior". After "Turbo Warrior" attacks "Chevalier de Fleur" (whose ATK was 1350 due to the first effect of "Turbo Warrior") and fails to destroy it in battle due to "For Our Dreams", Yusei activates "Synchro Out" to return "Turbo Warrior" to his Extra Deck and revive this card and "Turbo Synchron". Yusei then activates "Urgent Tuning" to perform a Synchro Summon during the Battle Phase, but Sherry activates the effect of "Chevalier de Fleur" to negate the effect of "Urgent Tuning" and destroy it. After Sherry activates "Chain Close", "Turbo Synchron" attacks "Chevalier de Fleur" and Yusei activates the effect of "Turbo Synchron" to switch "Chevalier de Fleur" to Defense Position. The attack fails, but Yusei activates the effect of "Turbo Synchron" to Special Summon "Junk Collector". Yusei then activates the effect of "Junk Collector" to banish itself and "Urgent Tuning" from his Graveyard in order to activate the effect of "Urgent Tuning" as the effect of "Junk Collector", allowing Yusei to tune this card with "Turbo Synchron" and Synchro Summon "Turbo Warrior". Later Yusei banishes this card from his Graveyard in order to activate "Synchro Spirits".
  • In episode 81, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against the Guard Robot. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Level Eater" due to its effect. On the Guard Robot's turn, it activates "Level Limit - Area B", which switches this card to Defense Position (as its Level is at least 4). In the next episode, Yusei activates "Synchro Gift" to reduce the ATK of this card to 0 and increase the ATK of "Level Eater" by this card's original ATK until the End Phase. On Yusei's End Phase, the effect of "Synchro Gift" expires. On the final turn of the Duel, Yusei tunes this card with "Drill Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".
  • In episode 87, Yusei uses this card during his Ground Duel against Kalin. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Speed Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". This card then gains ATK equal to the ATK of "Boost Warrior" due to its effect. The effect of "Boost Warrior" then increases the ATK of this card by 300. This card then attacks and destroys "Infernity Destroyer". Kalin then activates the effect of "Infernity Avenger" to Special Summon it from the Graveyard and make its Level the same as the Level of "Infernity Destroyer". In the next episode, Kalin activates the effect of "Infernity Doom Dragon" to destroy this card and inflict half its ATK as damage to Yusei.

World Racing Grand Prix[edit]

Ark Cradle[edit]

  • In episode 154, Yusei uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Jack. He Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Sonic Warrior" with "Junk Synchron". Since "Sonic Warrior" was used as a Synchro Material Monster, its effect activates, increasing the ATK of "Speed Warrior", "Quillbolt Hedgehog", and "Sonic Chick" by 400. Due to this card's effect, it gains ATK equal to the ATK of all Level 2 or below monsters Yusei controls, making its ATK 5500. This card then attacks and destroys "Red Dragon Archfiend", winning Yusei the Duel.

Yu-Gi-Oh! D Team ZEXAL[edit]

  • In Chapter 22, Sindy Cross plays this card in her against Shark. She Synchro Summons this card by tuning "Doppelwarrior" with "Junk Synchron", and since "Doppelwarrior" was sent to the Graveyard as a Synchro Material Monster, its effect Summons two "Doppel Tokens". Due to the effect of "Junk Warrior", when it is Summoned, it gains ATK equal to the ATK of level 2 monsters Sindy currently controls. "Junk Warrior" gains the ATK points of the two "Doppel Tokens" and "Symphonic Warrior Basses" gaining 1400 ATK (400 + 400 + 600). This makes this card's ATK 3700. This card then attacks and destroys "Number 73: Abyss Splash" (which had its ATK points at 0 and its effect negated due to "Mist Bird Clausolas"). This card is then attached as a Xyz Material to "Number C101: Silent Honor DARK" by the effect of "Silent Honor DARK", this allows "Silent Honor DARK" to attack Sindy directly winning Shark the Duel.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time[edit]

  • Yusei Fudo uses this card during his Turbo Duel against Paradox. He tunes this card with "Junk Synchron" in order to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon".
