Velgear, Muda

Muda Velgear (ミューダ・ベルギャー Myūda Berugyā) is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. He is a Velgearian from the Velgear Star Cluster and one of Zuwijo zir Velgear's servants, tasked with infiltrating MIK and stealing the Earthdamar.

Muda is an effeminate man with pale skin, green eyes with blue crescent-shaped highlights, and waist-length lilac hair with the bangs on the left side of his face dyed pink. He wears a lilac jumpsuit and a black harness under a long white coat with gold accents, black-blue boots that appear to be part of his suit, gloves of the same material, and a brooch at his throat set with a green stone. He carries a Velgearian sword on his left hip.

Abilities

Muda has the ability to bewilder people through whispers, but as his voice is quite soft and faint, the ability rarely has a strong effect on others.

Biography

Muda was on board Zaidavelgear with Zuwijo zir Velgear when they first arrived at Earth. Immediately afterwards, the Star Shuttle Rush collided with them abruptly, forcing both ships to crash-land on Earth. Muda accompanied Zuwijo to meet the occupants of the other craft, Yuga Ohdo and Kaizo, where Zuwijo asked them about Rush Dueling and imprisoned them after learning they knew of it.

As Zuwijo was preparing for war at the Velgear Star Cluster, he tasked Muda with retrieving the Earthdamar from MIK headquarters. Despite being able to successfully infiltrate the facility and pose as one of the guards at the Earthdamar storage chamber, Muda is unable to access it without Ranran Nanahoshi's credentials. He tries to use his ability and bewilder Ranran into opening the safe, but is unsuccessful, and is discovered as an impersonator through sheer fact that Ranran had only hired female guards at that facility. Muda challenges Ranran to a Duel for the possession of Earthdamar, but is defeated when Damamu escapes his confinement and possesses Ranran to secure victory. After the Duel, Damamu takes Muda and Ranran to Mutsuba Town, where Muda is captured, but later escapes thanks to Damamu, and rejoins Zuwijo. He stays with Zuwijo throughout the battle between him and Yudias Velgear.

Two years later, after successfully integrating Rush Duels into the Velgear Star Cluster, Muda comes with Zuwijo and Dinois Velgear to Earth to assist Yudias and his friends with the MIK crisis. He participated in the Galaxy Cup where he is defeated by Commander Study. He also participates in the duel against Kuaidul Velgear, after which he learns about the fate of Velgearians. He supports Zwijo's desire to duel Yudias one more time and joins Dinois in distracting the research team. Worried about Dinois disappearing if she was to exert herself in a Rush Duel, he proposes a tag duel against Yuhi and Yuamu and goes first in order to carry the burden. He puts his ace monster into play before saying his goodbyes to Dinois and disappears for good, much to her dismay and the shock of everyone else. Dinois proceeds to fuse his ace monster with her own, winning the duel with his help.

Deck

Muda plays a Beautiful Bird Deck, featuring WIND Attribute Winged Beast Type monsters. The main strategy of the Deck revolves around "Beautiful Bird Star Stripe Eagle", the effect of which can set up multiple activations of "Beautiful Bird Burst" by returning cards in the Spell & Trap Zone to the hand on Summon, and "Beautiful Bird Multistrike" to quickly finish individual Duels when the opponent's LP are depleted.
