Yuri is a character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V manga. He is one of the four personalities that share Yuya Sakaki's body.
Design
Appearance
Yuri looks almost the same as his anime counterpart. His clothes are the same, save for the white cloak he wears. While his other personalities' face only differ marginally, Yuri's eyebrows are drastically more pronounced than theirs and his expression is generally more menacing.
Personality
Unlike his anime counterpart, Yuri seems to show some compassion to others, as he seemed concerned about involving Yuya with a sorrowful memory of his.[1] He cares about Yuya so much, that he would punish anyone who tries to hurt or deceive him. He is also very perceptive, as he was the only one who was able to see through Sora's lies, out of all the people who was watching the duel between him and Yuya (except Reiji). Just like Yuto, Yuri also has a big ego in which he considers himself "handsome", worrying that Yuzu would be sad if he left, since she "likes handsome men".[2]
Biography
Yuri was first seen riding around Yuya's mind with Yugo. He questioned Yugo about whether they wouldn't create suspicions if they didn't go back soon, but Yugo replied that he had asked Yuto to cover for them. Yugo then found a shard which he claimed to be his "fragment" and picked it up, with Yuri asking him if he couldn't possibly want Yuya to remember him. He answered negatively and the shard dissipated in the process, explaining that he doesn't want Yuya's memories to be erased. Yuri said that that's good, since it would be better if he didn't remember them, to which Yugo agreed, saying that it would only cause him sorrow if he did.
Meanwhile, Yuya explained to Yuzu and Shuzo that he has four personalities, commenting with Yuto that he hadn't seen "those two" - Yugo and Yuri - lately, and wondered where they ran off to. Yuto then covered for them, saying that they were probably going on a tour or something, with Yuya imagining Yugo telling Yuri that he found a nice ridge in a section of Yuya's brain, and Yuri excitedly telling him to go full throttle.[1]
When Yuya started hesitating during his Duel with Sora Shiunin, Yuri stepped in and took over suddenly, commenting how his Fusion Deck would be a good opponent for Sora's. While Yuya protested how Yuri's consciousness had been absent for some time until then, he commented how Yuya is too soft and declared he could not care less about Sora's sister, unlike Yuya.[3]
Deck
Yuri's Deck is focused on Fusion Summon and contains cards that can take advantage of his other personalities' cards, like "Pendulum Fusion" to use Yuya's Pendulum Monsters as Fusion Materials.
