"Captain" (隊（たい）長（ちょう）, Taichō) is a series of EARTH Warrior monsters centered around the classic "Marauding Captain" and his retrained counterparts. With the exception of "Motivating Captain", all members of this series are Level 3 monsters with 1200 ATK and 400 DEF.

"Marauding Captain" appears as a character in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2009: Stardust Accelerator.

Design

The Captain series focuses on Special Summoning other monsters upon their own Normal Summon.

In most languages their names are composed as "[X] Captain", where [X] is a word that rhymes with the other members' corresponding one.

Marmiting	1 monster that you draw after shuffling 1 card from your hand into your Deck
Motivating	1 Level 4 or lower monster from your Graveyard, but its effects (if any) are negated, in Defense Position
