In episode 138, Seto Kaiba gave this card to Yugi Muto before his Duel against Yami Marik. The former had intended to use this card to defeat Yami Marik's "The Winged Dragon of Ra". After he lost to Yugi, Mokuba convinces him to give the card to Yugi.

In episode 139, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Yami Marik. He drew this card via the effect of "Zombie's Jewel". Yami Yugi then sets this card. Later "The Winged Dragon of Ra" attacks directly, but Yami Yugi activates this card to summon a "Metal Fiend Token" and use it to intercept the attack. Yami Yugi explains to Yami Marik that if "The Winged Dragon of Ra" battles the Metal Fiend Token, the Battle Damage that Yami Yugi would take will be inflicted to Yami Marik instead. Yami Marik then activates "De-Fusion" to decrease the ATK of "Ra" to 0, increase his Life Points by the ATK of "Ra", and separate himself from "Ra". This also stops the attack Yami Marik made and saves himself. On Yugi's Standby Phase, he pays 1000 Life Points to keep the "Metal Fiend Token" on the field. Yugi then activates "Multiply" to create two more copies of the "Metal Fiend Token". He then Tributes the three tokens in order to Tribute Summon "Obelisk the Tormentor".
- This card also appears in a flashback Yami Yugi has when he remembers Kaiba throwing this card to him before the Duel. Both Yami Yugi and Yugi know that this card is the card they must draw via the effect of Yami Marik's "Zombie's Jewel".

In episode 220, this card is shown when Yami Yugi is shown building his Deck for the Ceremonial Battle.

Yako Tenma used this card against Yami Yugi in combination with "THE DEVIL'S AVATAR", which caused the latter to transform into a black version of Little Yugi.

In episode 24, Czar uses two copies of this card during his duel against Chazz Princeton. He activates both copies to Special Summon two "Metal Fiend Tokens". Czar then Tributes the two "Metal Fiend Tokens" in order to Tribute Summon "Zoa".

In episode 34, during Jaden Yuki's Duel against Kaibaman, this card can be seen when Kaibaman searches his Deck via the effect of "Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands".

In episode 39, Chazz uses this card during his Duel against Don Zaloog. He uses this card to Special Summon a "Metal Fiend Token". Chazz then Tributes the Metal Fiend Token in order to Tribute Summon "Armed Dragon LV5".

In episode 97, the D uses two copies of this card during his Duel against Doctor Collector. He uses both copies to Special Summon two "Metal Fiend Tokens". After the D activates "D - Force", he Tributes the two Metal Fiend Tokens and "Enigma the Creator" in order to Special Summon "Destiny HERO - Plasma".

In episode 98, the D uses this card during his Duel against Aster Phoenix. He uses this card to Special Summon a "Metal Fiend Token". The D then Tributes the Metal Fiend Token and two "Plasma Tokens" in order to Special Summon "Destiny HERO - Plasma".
