Anime[edit]

  • In episode 59, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Yuma Tsukumo has when Astral notes to him that since he is being too cautious, he fears winning against Nistro.
  • In episode 60, this card appears in a flashback Astral when he wonders about this card and why Shark has a "Chaos Number" now.
  • In episode 61, this card appears in a flashback Tori Meadows has when she notes even though Yuma has fought Shark many times, Shark obtained this card during his Duel against Quattro which makes him more dangerous.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when he explains to Yuma he couldn't believe that during Shark's Duel against Quattro, Shark obtained a Chaos Number (which was due to the darkness of "Number 32: Shark Drake" taking absolute control over him).
    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when he reminds Yuma they must save Shark from the power of Vetrix and "Number 32: Shark Drake". Besides that, they must also contend with this card as well.
  • In episode 62, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Xyz Summons this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution by overlaying "Number 32: Shark Drake" with its two Overlay Units. Shark then activates this card's effect to banish "Spear Shark" from his Graveyard and reduce the ATK of "Gogogo Golem" (whose ATK was 3600 via "Golden Form") by the ATK of "Spear Shark" by detaching "Double Shark". Yuma then activates "Power Change Barrier" to negate this card's effect and reduce the ATK of "Gogogo Golem" by 600. Shark then activates this card's effect by banishing "Double Shark" from his Graveyard and detaching "Shark Drake", but Yuma activates the effect of "Power Change Barrier" to negate this card's effect and reduce the ATK of "Gogogo Golem" by 600. Shark then activates this card's effect again by banishing "Shark Drake" from his Graveyard and detaching "Shocktopus", but Yuma activates the effect of "Power Change Barrier" again to negate this card's effect and reduce the ATK of "Gogogo Golem" by 600. This card then attacks "Gogogo Golem", but Yuma activates "Half Unbreak" to prevent his monster's destruction and halve the battle damage he takes. Later "Number 39: Utopia" attacks this card and Yuma activates the former monster's effect to negate the attack. Yuma then activates "Rivals Unite" to take control of this card. While this removes Vetrix's control over Shark and restores the latter's memories, it also causes this card to inflict great pain on Yuma due to the Emperor's Key being unable to protect Yuma from this card's power. Vetrix tells Shark to use his set "Heraldry Catastrophe", which will destroy both this card and "Utopia" and inflict their combined ATK to Yuma as damage to save his friend, however Shark was hesitant on winning since that would also mean Yuma and Astral would lose all the "Numbers" they had obtained (and Astral would be destroyed as well). At the same time, Yuma had the idea of using the effect of "Traplin" to destroy "Rivals Unite" and return this card to Shark's side to prevent this card's power from hurting him despite that would mean Vetrix would be able to control Shark again. In the end, Shark activates "Underwater Snow Prison" (which was the first card he set during the Duel) to banish this card and take 1000 damage as a drawback, thus winning Yuma the Duel. With Yuma's victory, Astral absorbs this card and "Shark Drake" (which was done off-screen).
  • In episode 70, Shark uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Yuma and Kite Tenjo against Dr. Faker. He Xyz Summons this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution by overlaying "Number 32: Shark Drake" with its two Overlay Units. Shark then activates "Deep Sea Attack" to allow this card to attack directly. This card then attacks directly, but Faker activates "Fake Life" to negate the attack and gain Life Points equal to this card's ATK. On Kite's Standby Phase, the fifth effect of "Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon" banishes this card. In the next episode, Kite activates the effect of "Dimension Wanderer" to target this card and "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" and inflict their combined ATK to Faker as damage to Faker, but Faker activates the final effect of "Barian's Gateway" to negate the effect. On the last turn of the Duel, Yuma activates the first effect of "ZW - Ultimate Shield" to Special Summon this card, "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", and "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray". After Yuma equips "Utopia Ray" With "Ultimate Shield" and "Xyz Unity" and activates the first effect of "Xyz Unity", he activates the final effect of "Xyz Unity" to send this card to the Graveyard and allow "Utopia Ray" to attack directly.
  • In episode 78, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Art Stanley while the latter was possessed by the Barians. He Xyz Summons this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution by overlaying "Number 32: Shark Drake" with itself. Shark then activates this card's effect to detach "Shark Drake", banish it from the Graveyard, and reduce the ATK of "Chaos Xyz Comics Hero Legend Arthur" by the ATK of "Shark Drake". Shark then activates "Surging Erosion" to destroy Art's "Comic Field" and increase this card's ATK by 500. This card then attacks and destroys "Comics Hero Legend Arthur", winning Shark the Duel.
  • In episode 97, Shark uses this card during his Duel against Dumon. He Xyz Summons this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution by overlaying "Number 32: Shark Drake Veiss" with itself. The first effect of "Sargasso the Different Dimension Battlefield" then inflicts 500 damage to Shark, but Shark wanted this to happen so that this card would not be destroyed by its own effect. In the next episode, this card remained on the field until the Duel was canceled.
  • In episode 121, this card appears in Shark's memories as he remembers his fond memories with Yuma, Astral, and Kite before he ultimately chooses to help Barian World.
