- In episode 30, Nightshroud uses this card during his Duel against Jaden Yuki. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Red-Eyes B. Dragon". Since Nightshroud has seven Dragons in his Graveyard, this card gains 2100 ATK, bringing its ATK to 4500. This card then attacks "Elemental Hero Tempest", but Jaden activates "Negate Attack" to negate the attack and end the Battle Phase. On Nightshroud's next turn, he activates "Mystical Space Typhoon" to destroy "Fusion Gate" (in order to prevent Jaden from using the effect of "Elemental Hero Tempest" to prevent its destruction). This card then attacks and destroys "Elemental Hero Tempest". On the final turn of the Duel, Jaden activates "Wild Half" to halve this card's original ATK and DEF and Special Summon a "Half Token" with the same stats and effects as this card. Jaden then Fusion Summons "Elemental Hero Wildedge" and activates "Skyscraper". "Wildedge" then attacks the "Half Token". Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", "Wildedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Wildedge" then destroys the token. "Wildedge" then attacks this card. Due to the effect of "Skyscraper", "Wildedge" gains 1000 ATK during damage calculation only. "Wildedge" then destroys this card.
- In episode 62, this card appears in one of the many flashback bubbles Jaden sees in as he travels into Neo Space.
- In episode 64, this card appears in a flashback Atticus has when he notes to Alexis Rhodes that even though he battled Jaden before, he was under the control of Nightshroud at that point.
- In episode 89, Atticus uses this card during his Duel against Zane Truesdale. He Special Summons this card Tributing "Red-Eyes B. Dragon". Since there is one Dragon in Atticus' Graveyard, this card gains 300 ATK. This card then attacks "Cyberdark Horn", but Zane destroys the "Red-Eyes B. Chick" equipped to "Cyberdark Horn" to prevent the latter's destruction, however Zane still takes Battle Damage. With another Dragon in Atticus' Graveyard, this card gained 300 more ATK. After Zane uses the effect of "Cyberdark Edge" to take "Red-Eyes B. Chick" from Atticus' Graveyard and equip it to "Cyberdark Edge", this card loses 300 ATK. On Atticus' turn, he activates "Dragon Heart" to increase this card's ATK by 1000 until the End Phase by sending three Dragons from his Deck to the Graveyard. Since three more Dragons entered Atticus' Graveyard, this card gains 900 more ATK. Nightshroud, at this point, takes over Atticus' body. This card then attacks "Cyberdark Edge", but Zane destroys the "Red-Eyes B. Chick" equipped to "Cyberdark Edge" to prevent the latter's destruction. Zane then activates "Power Wall" to send the top thirty cards of his Deck to the Graveyard and negate all the Battle Damage he would have received. On Nightshroud's End Phase, the effect of "Dragon Heart" expires. After Zane uses the effect of "Cyberdark Dragon" to take "Red-Eyes B. Dragon" from the Graveyard and equip it to "Cyberdark Dragon", this card loses 300 ATK. "Cyberdark Dragon" then gains 3700 ATK due to Zane having thirty-seven cards in his Graveyard. "Cyberdark Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card, winning Zane the duel.
- This card also appears in a flashback Atticus has when he notes to Zane in his mind that he was once possessed by Nightshroud and trapped in the depths of darkness until he was rescued by Jaden and his friends.
- This card also appears in two flashbacks Jaden has when he recognizes this card as Nightshroud's signature card whilst possessing Atticus.
- In episode 159, Atticus uses this card during his Duel against Jaden. He Special Summons this card by Tributing "Red-Eyes B. Dragon". Since Atticus had two Dragons in his Graveyard, this card gains 600 ATK. This card then attacks and destroys Jaden's "Elemental Hero Clayman". Jaden then activates "Hero Signal" to Special Summon "Elemental Hero Bubbleman". Later "Elemental Hero Neos" (whose ATK was 3300 due to "Neos Force") attacks and destroys this card. "Neos Force" then inflicts damage to Atticus equal to the ATK of this card. Atticus then activates "Red-Eyes Spirit" to revive this card, ignoring the Summoning conditions, since it was destroyed by battle this turn. On Atticus's next turn, this card attacks and destroys "Elemental Hero Neos". Later Jaden activates "Elemental Storm" to target "Elemental Hero Neos" and destroy this card, but Atticus activates "Metal Plus" and equips it to this card. Due to the second effect of "Metal Plus", "Elemental Storm" is negated and destroyed. On Atticus's next turn, he Tributes this card in order to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon". On the last turn of the Duel, Jaden activates "Hero's Rule 1: Five Freedoms" to banish this card, "Red-Eyes B. Chick", "Red-Eyes B. Dragon", "Inferno Fire Blast" and "Cave Dragon" from Atticus' Graveyard.
- In episode 164, this card is shown in a series of flashbacks Syrus Truesdale has when he deduces that Zane's problems came from his Deck, not the underground Dueling he was involved with.
- Its attack name is Darkness Giga Flame in the original and Inferno Darkfire in the dub.
