Card Trivia:Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon
- This is the cover card of Structure Deck: Dragon's Roar, and is also one of the cover cards of Structure Deck: Special Set.
- This card is an upgraded form of "Red-Eyes Black Dragon".
- This card is the "Red-Eyes" counterpart of "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon", as both are advanced, metallic, wvyern-like version of their base form, have the same original ATK and DEF as their base versions, are 2 Levels higher, and gain 300 ATK for each Dragon-Type monster in the controller's Graveyard. The main difference is that this card only requires its base form as a Tribute and has no further effects, while "Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon" requires the triple-Fused form of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon", as a Tribute and has the rather unique effect of allowing the controller to choose which effects can target it.
- This card has a Metal counterpart: "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".
- This card has 2 Zombie counterparts: "Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon" and "Red-Eyes Zombie Necro Dragon".
- In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, despite the beliefs of its user Nightshroud, this card was used in Duels in the name of hope. In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode Doomsday Duel, Part 2", he used this card in his Duel against 30: "Jaden Yuki in an attempt to win his Shadow Charm. In Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode The Darkness Within", 89: "Atticus Rhodes willingly used this card in his Duel against Zane Truesdale, trying to convince him to abandon the "Cyberdark" Deck. Finally, in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX episode The Truth About Darkness! Judai Versus Fubuki", he used this card in a rematch against Jaden, hoping that doing so would bring back his memories of Nightshroud and 159: "Yusuke Fujiwara. He actually succeeded and remembered what happened to Fujiwara.
- In episode 159, it was revealed that Fujiwara gave Atticus Nightshroud's mask, no longer needing it. However, Atticus did not use it until he entered another dimension as part of a test from Professor Banner. Although this card was first explicitly seen in episode 30, the first time Atticus actually used it was in a Duel against Gravekeeper's Chief, as it was the only way Nightshroud could use him as a host.
- Atticus became more and more resistant to Nightshroud's influence as he used this card during his on-screen duels. While he was possessed in episode 30, he managed to stave off Nightshroud until Zane used "Power Wall" in episode 89. And despite Nightshroud's struggles, he did not manage to possess Atticus during the Duel in episode 159.
