Card Rulings:Gallis the Star Beast
OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Gallis the Star Beast" is an Ignition Effect activated in the hand.[1]
- "send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard" and "then, if it was a monster, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its Level x 200 and Special Summon this card from your hand, otherwise destroy this card" are not treated as occurring at the same time.[1]
- If a Monster Card is sent to the Graveyard for the effect "send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard", inflicting damage to the opponent and Special Summoning "Gallis the Star Beast" is treated as the last thing to happen. (The effect "inflict damage to your opponent equal to its Level x 200" and the effect "Special Summon this card from your hand" are treated as occurring at the same time.)[1]
- If a Spell/Trap Card is sent to the Graveyard for the effect "send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard", "Gallis the Star Beast" destroying itself is treated as the last thing to happen.[1]
- Even if cards sent to the Graveyard are banished due to the effect of "Banisher of the Radiance"/"Macro Cosmos"/etc., you can activate the effect of "Gallis the Star Beast". Also, if the effect of "Gallis the Star Beast" is activated, if the top card of your Deck is sent to the Graveyard, that card is banished without going to the Graveyard, but if it was a Monster Card, you can damage your opponent's Life Points, and "Gallis the Star Beast" is Special Summoned to the field.[2]
- Because it is not known whether "Gallis the Star Beast" will inflict damage when its effect is activated, it is not possible to chain the effect of "Performage Stilts Launcher".[3]
- Even if the effect of a "Des Wombat" that is face-up on your opponent's side of the field is applying, you can activate the effect of "Gallis the Star Beast". If the card sent to the Graveyard by the effect is a Monster Card, no damage is inflicted to your opponent, but "Gallis the Star Beast" is Special Summoned.[4]
