Card Rulings:Iron Chain Coil
OCG Rulings
- The monster effect of "Iron Chain Coil" is an Ignition Effect.[1]
- The effect targets 1 face-up "Iron Chain" in the player's Monster Zone. ("Iron Chain Coil" can also target itself.)[1]
- The ATK and DEF increase as a result of the monster effect of "Iron Chain Coil" applies as long as the targeted monster is face-up in the Monster Zone.[1]
- If "Skill Drain" was activated after ATK is increased by the effect of "Iron Chain Coil", the ATK increase of the monster that was affected by the effect of "Iron Chain Coil" remains.[2]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[3] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
