Card Rulings:Turbo Synchron
OCG Rulings
- The "When this card declares an attack: You can change the attack target to Defense Position." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target.)[1]
- The "When you take battle damage while this card is attacking: You can Special Summon 1 monster from your hand with ATK less than or equal to the battle damage you took." effect is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. It can be activated after damage calculation.)[1]
- This effect cannot be activated if this card's ATK is equal to the opponent's monster's DEF or if the effect of "Waboku" is being applied, since you take no battle damage.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - "Turbo Synchron's" effects do not target.
- If "Turbo Synchron" attacks your opponent's monster while they have "Fairy Box" active, the effects of "Turbo Synchron" and "Fairy Box" form a Chain.
- If "Turbo Synchron" attacks an Attack Position "Berserk Gorilla" and activate its effect, "Berserk Gorilla" is destroyed when it is shifted to Defense Position, and a replay occurs. If "Turbo Synchron" select another monster to attack, it cannot activate its effect again because it is not "declaring an attack".
