• Use "Foolish Burial", "Dragon Shrine", "Dragon Ravine" or "Future Fusion" to send strong Dragon(s) to the Graveyard for this card's effect.

• Cards like "Arkbrave Dragon", "Darkblaze Dragon", "Felgrand Dragon" and "Divine Dragon Lord Felgrand" have effects that activate when they're Special Summoned from the Graveyard, but keep in mind that their effects will activate after Damage calculation, so make sure they battle monsters they can defeat in battle with just their original ATK.

• This card is one of the best options to Special Summon "Tyrant Dragon" from the Graveyard. You can Tribute "Decoy Dragon" for "Tyrant Dragon's" Summoning condition and redirect the attack to him.

• Since the opponent is unlikely to voluntarily declare an attack against this card, this card can be used to stall by repeatedly Summoning monsters to take the attack, thus preventing this card from being destroyed by battle.
  • Having a "Hieratic Seal of the Sun Dragon Overlord" in your Graveyard will ensure that you won't run out of monsters to Summon, since it will almost assuredly be destroyed in battle, sending it back to the Graveyard.

• Use "Call of the Earthbound", "Shift", "Patrician of Darkness", "Ring of Magnetism", "Raregold Armor" or "Staunch Defender" to ensure that this card is the only one being attacked. The Traps listed here are especially effective, since your opponent might try to attack one of your other weak monsters only to have it be redirected to this card.
  • Use "Battle Mania" or "Savage Colosseum" to force your opponent to attack.

• Discard 3 high-Level Dragons to Special Summon "Montage Dragon" while setting up for this card's effect.

• Special Summon "Dark Horus" with this card's effect, so it can use its effect to Summon more monsters from your Graveyard.

• Chain "Magic Cylinder" or another card that stops the attack to this card's effect to guarantee the Summoned Dragon's survival against a particularly strong monster.

• Special Summon a Level 7 Dragon with this card's effect, then use "Metamorphosis" to Summon "King Dragun" and Special Summon another powerful Dragon from your hand.
