- Use this card's effect on "Spirit Reaper", Cloudians or "Berserk Gorilla". They will be destroyed, causing a replay, possibly allowing for a direct attack.
- "Gravekeeper's" monsters tend to have low ATK for their Level, and even with "Necrovalley" seldom break 2000 ATK. However, many high-Level monsters have DEF disproportionate to their ATK and are easily destroyed when shifted to Defense Position by this card. Alternately, it can be used to easily destroy highly defensive monsters like "Destiny HERO - Defender" and "Labyrinth Wall" and cause damage at the same time.
- Though it is mostly just a Deck filler, an extra card can be brought out by using "Guard Penalty" from using this card.
- This card can be used to switch an opponent's "Blackwing" or "Lightsworn" monster to Defense Position, preventing them from using "Blackwing - Kalut the Moon Shadow" or "Honest" to save their monster.
Traditional Format[edit]
