Card Tips:Imperial Custom
- This card can be searched by "A Cat of Ill Omen" and "The Despair Uranus".
- This card works well with a Deck that revolves around a key Continuous Trap Card (ex. "Greed" or "Imperial Iron Wall").
- You can use this card in an "Aroma" Deck, as they often rely on several Continuous Trap Cards that have great consistency with the strategy of "Aroma" monsters.
- Use the effect of "Number 66: Master Key Beetle" twice, first on "Safe Zone", and on your next turn on this card, to reinforce your permanent Traps protection.
- Wait to activate this card until your opponent targets your face-up Continuous Traps with a card like "Mystical Space Typhoon". Activate this in response in order to waste their destruction effect.
- This card works well in protecting your Continuous Traps from mass destruction effects like "Heavy Storm", "Black Rose Dragon", etc. because this is the only face-up Continuous Trap Card that would be destroyed.
- To use this to its best effect, chain all your other Continuous Traps first, and then activate this card last. This way, only this card will take the fall when a card would wipe out all your other Continuous Traps.
- This card will keep cards like "Vanity's Emptiness" and "Sanguine Swamp" from destroying themselves with their effects.
- Use this card to protect your activated Continuous Traps from card destroying effects so you can Tribute them to Summon "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames".
- You can protect your "Call of the Haunted" from getting destroyed, thus preventing the monster attached to it from getting destroyed by it.
- Then you can reuse it with "Mist Valley Falcon".
- When used in conjunction with "Sanguine Swamp", "Skill Drain" and "Anti-Spell Fragrance", these cards can create an effect lockdown. (You must activate all other cards before "Sanguine Swamp" for this lockdown to work.)
- This can make for a Normal Monster only Duel. Note that effects in the Graveyard, ones that activate in your hand, and Continuous/Field Spell Cards on the field will still work.
- Use with "Beast Machine King Barbaros Ür", as it can be quickly Summoned and has enough attack to press its advantage. Alternatively, use "Mausoleum of the Emperor" to help Summon powerful beatsticks.
- Use this card with Trap Monsters i.e. Continuous Trap Cards that become monsters but remain Trap Cards at the same time to create monsters that cannot be destroyed in battle or card effects until this card is destroyed.
- "Cyber Shadow Gardna" can be specially useful, as, if it battles an opponent monster, only the opponent's monster will be destroyed.
- Use this for a lockdown in a Stall Removal Deck. Have "Macro Cosmos" and "Wall of Revealing Light" and/or "Gravity Bind" active, then activate this card.
