• This is the first "Red-Eyes" monster whose Attribute is WIND.

• This card is based on a wyvern, a dragon without arms in European mythology, where they are often associated with destruction and pestilence.

• "Gearfried the Red-Eyes Iron Knight" can be seen as a Warrior-Type counterpart to this card, as both share the same Level, ATK and DEF, and both have effects that Special Summon "Red-Eyes" monsters from the Graveyard.

• Similar to the relationship between "Dark Magician" and "Red-Eyes Black Dragon", this card has 100 ATK and DEF less then "Skilled Dark Magician".
