Forum:New Blackwing support. too soon?

Well, a new pack awaits the OCG, Starstrike blast, and as always, new Blackwing support, even though they just got around 11 new cards in TSHD. anyone thinks that there is to much support to fit all into one deck and not be a disaster. Should I burn or swarm? Synchro swarm or keep my field heavily protected? Add cards rapidly or sacrafice my hand for quickly combos? I think there are to many strategies with Blackwings, not that that isn't a bad thing. However, with the new trap Black Back, I'll just throw three in my deck so I can abuse Sirroco and Armor Master like crazy. Anyone thinks that Konami should focus on the newer archetypes, such as Scrap, the Beast type monsters after their reviving strength in DREV? More Amazoness monsters? Giving the new karakuri's further support in this one pack? In the end, there shall be only three types of decks at regionals, blackwings, Infernity OTK, and X saber. They should be put aside for a few packs and let other archetypes flourish for a bit. Anyone agree with me? Feel free to post your opinions on the matter. That's the issue when you have a main character with a fixed archetype. Just look at the Elemental Heroes. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 04:54, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Well kazuki personally made the E heros. It's like God creating the earth, once he starts, he'll continue until he wants to quit, sort of how Kazuki wants to stop the yugioh anime. Always claiming that will be the last one. There will be more E hero support though, I can feel it. Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 05:07, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

You are correct in that there will be more Elemental Hero support. We still do have the GX manga. As for certain archetypes recieving too much support, I agree. When was the last time that Akiza, Luna, or Leo got a match? Everyone has become far too dependant on Yusei, Jack, and Crow.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 05:13, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed with above regarding dependency on those characters. Too much of the same thing is uninteresting. I would personally prefer having archetypes receiving equal opportunity, instead of having a few 'superior' archetypes and other 'weak' ones. Also, there comes the technical difficulty of fitting an exorbitant amount of support in one deck, as mentioned before. Perhaps adding support to relatively unsupported archetypes would add to diversity instead of constantly striking the same note. But I guess adding moar Blackwing support would rake in moar money. Now that I think about it, most main protagonists (minus Judai/Jaden) make use of cards that have a general theme, largely so that their cards (which will be continuously released over time) can mesh well with other themes. A bit of a pity that the duelists who repeatedly switch themes (Manjoume/Chazz, for example) don't have much opportunity to give every single theme enough spotlight. --Gadjiltron (talkcontribs) 13:45, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Anybody think that Blackwings will get a support archetype like E-Heroes with Neo-Spacians? Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 21:08, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

God forbid. We don't need another arch-archetype like XX-Sabers. What, will Blackwings get Black Wing chicks, or blackwing females. Anybody notice that there is no female blackwing except Breeze? Adamtheamazing64 (talkcontribs) 21:18, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, the only "mini-archetypes" belong to Duel Terminal Archetypes. XX-Sabers to X-Sabers, Neo-Flamvell to Flamvell, Ally Genex to Genex, Dragunity Arms to Dragunity, ect.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 22:07, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

Now that you think of it, I never actually thought of it. And I never even heard of Dragunity Arms. Thanks. Fallensilence (talkcontribs) 12:53, June 28, 2010 (UTC)
