Forum:Number Wall vs Black Rose Dragon

I was playing with a Gimmick Puppet deck, and had number c15: Giant hunter and a set number wall on the field. My opponent summoned Black Rose Dragon, and then used Black Rose Dragon's effect to wipe the field. Now, my question is, could I chain Number wall to this, and even though Number wall would be destroyed, would Giant Hunter survive? My opponent said that it did not work, but I wasn't sure. Yes, you can.-- (talkcontribs) 00:52, April 27, 2014 (UTC)

Then show them this page and let they know that they are being laughed by the Internet eternally.-- (talkcontribs) 05:10, April 27, 2014 (UTC)
Oh I will, then i imagine he will say you aren't official Judges and therefore your "opinions, not rulings" don't matter. some Judge told him the rule for field nukes VS Unions/Sams applies to a Field barrier and the like, so he keeps saying "They are destroyed Simultianiously (fuck spelling)" which doesn't make sense as that being right would require the continous effect to end in the middle of an effect resolution....which implies they are being destroyed in whatever order is most convienent for the nuker meaning not simultaniously. score another point for logic and another victim of a bad judge.DreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 06:28, April 27, 2014 (UTC)
Card Rulings:Mecha Phantom Beast Dracossack, it's not the most similar case, but it kinda works. --Dark Ace SP (Talk) 20:20, April 27, 2014 (UTC)
That was exactly what i told him when this came up. "No a Judge told me they all go boom simultaniously"etc etcDreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 01:58, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Did you SHOW him the link of ruling?-- (talkcontribs) 02:26, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
Is this DN? I'll tell you right now, the admins of DN are NOT, I repeat, NOT infallible. I've heard several accounts of judges making mistakes. Admins on DN become admins by taking a test that "proves" their knowledgeability in not only rulings but also punishments for certain users and/or, if a mandatory card effect was forgotten to be activated at the proper time, how would the situation go from there.
It's actually a multiple-choice question thing that presents one with a situation and you have to answer how to respond best to a given scenario. A fairly big portion of it isn't even on rulings. And even after that, who's to say that the admin won't make a mistake? Or just neglect to check the ruling because "well duh, it's an obvious question"? You might even have an admin that actually bs'd their way through the admin exam and got a passing grade via luck. Don't get me wrong, most of the admins are good. But I do get the occasional horror story.
But ignore all that. Stop dueling that guy, he obviously doesn't know that he's wrong, and the admin backing him probably doesn't know that he's wrong either. We have our ruling listed, it's been confirmed, end of story. If he continues to butthurt about it, then get him out of your dueling life. Nope, it was an actual tourny judge, and i long since stopped dueling him. he was no fun anyway (gravekeepers, and typical tournyfag attitude to boot.DreadKaiser (talkcontribs) 04:16, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
'sighs' Well, tbh even tourney judges can't be relied on to know everything, unfortunately. There are thousands of rulings and this happens to be one of the really tricky ones. I doubt that anyone would know them all. Most cards and situations have a recognizeable rule of thumb, this happens to be one of the rules that's not so obvious, especially since it doesn't get looked over too much (face it, how many people use a Universal Nuke against a Universal Continuous Protector?). I'm glad you made the decision to cut him out of your dueling life at least. Just know that we're right on this one.Aeron Solo wuz here (If you wanna talk) 05:05, April 29, 2014 (UTC)
