I need to know if this would meet the critia of a OTK, or if this combo would even work. The cards needed for it are as follow:
- Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode (he needs to be in the deck, so idk if he would count)
- Assault Overload
- Assault Revival
- A card which destroys your own monster (speed spell 2)
- Assault Mode Activate
- Red Dragon Archfiend (for obvious reasons. Also, it is needed for him to go the graveyard)
Magic and Trap clearing cards always work well, and will be a sure fire to have a OTK
The strategy is as follows.
Set Assault Overload, Assault Revial, Assault Mode active (this will need to be set a turn before), and the monster destroying card (if this is a trap card, it will also need to be set previously). Syncro summon Red Dragon Archfiend, and then activate Assault Mode Active. Get out Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode and attack. This would wipe out both yours and your opponents monster field. As soon as this happens, activate the card which destroys a monster, and target Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode. This will bring Red Dragon Archfiend to the field. Attack with Red Dragon Archfiend directly. Then activate Assault Revial, bringing back Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode. Attack with Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode. Then activate Assault Overload for the win.
<math>(3000 + 3500) + 2000 = 8500</math>
Major cards which will shut down this strategy are cards such as other magic negating cards, cards which force cards to be removed from play (marco cosmo) or cards which prevent cards from being removed from play (Imperial Iron Wall).
Would this combo work? Please answer and comment.
this combo seems likely, but not like you are expecting, no one will let you set up for an explosive play like thatTeamCheckMate (talk • contribs) 05:39, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
I suppose it technically works, but it's extremely inconsistant. In addition, this should be in the Deck Help forum.--Akiza Izayoi (talk • contribs) 05:40, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
Looks difficult to pull off. Nice try though. Fallensilence (talk • contribs) 06:07, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
