Forum:Wrath of Neos!

Hey you all, I'm a huge fan of Elemental Hero Neos and I'm trying to make a copettetive 'Wrath of Neos'
based deck. For those who don't know its effect: Select 1 face-up 'E-Hero Neos', return it to the deck
and destroy all cards on the field.
I've constructed a deck but I would like your opinion. Because I saw a lot of other strategies on the
internet. Just let me know what you think, or which strategy is best.

Deck List:

Monsters: (19)
3x Elemental Hero Neos
3x Elemental Hero Neos Alius
2x Elemental Hero Prisma
1x Elemental Hero Stratos
2x Cyber Dragon
3x D.D. Warrior Lady
2x Honest
1x Gorz the Emisesary of Darkness
1x Neo-Spacian Grand Mole
1x Morphing Jar

Spells: (14)
3x Wrath of Neos
3x E-Emergency Call
1x Reinforcement of the Army
2x O-Oversoul
2x Hero Mask
1x Heavy Storm
1x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Pot of Avarice

Traps: (7)
1x Torrential Tribute
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
1x Call of the Haunted
3x Reckless Greed

Extra Deck: (1)
1x Elemental Hero Grand Neos

I didn't try it yet in local tournaments but I think it has potential. If you have suggestions, I would
like you to add the reason. So I can understand the stategy.

I'm wondering what your win condition here is. Sure, you can nuke the field numerous times, but after that that game just turns into a top-decking war. I recommend something that would help you punch your opponent in the face after you pull of the Wrath of Neos. Perhaps Geartown? Activating Geartown followed up with Wrath of Neos would ensure that Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon can give your opponent a warm welcome of 3000 damage.--Akiza Izayoi (talkcontribs) 23:53, July 3, 2010 (UTC)

You could also use A Supervise or 2 when you draw Alius. Once the field is gone you could get Neos or even another Alius back from the grave. Latiosking (talkcontribs) 00:03, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

The point of the deck is to play with your opponent. The monsters, spells and traps combined are capable of doing that. When your opponents defences grow to strong you blow up the field so he can start all over again.
When I use 'Wrath of Neos' I allways come out strong enough. I use 'O-Oversoul' to special summon Neos, or I have Gorz in my hand to back me up, or sometimes I didn't normal summon yet. So there are plenty of thins I can do after using 'Wrath of Neos' but I never use it without thinking it trough, unless I would defenitly lose next turn.
About your advice, adding 'Gear Town' and Gadjrilitron Dragon, I'm just not sure. Do you mean 3 copies, 2 or one of each. Drawing Neos is already a bad thing but then I can also draw Gadjrilitron Dragon who is no use in my hand. If I do so the deck is to much based on luck. Maybe you see it different? Advice?
The idea of supervice is actually very good, at least I think I've never tried it yet. But I'm not sure if I can add it to this deck, I mean, I have to stay around 40 cards I'm not sure what to leave out. And I was also considereing maybe to add an extra Prisma and O-Oversoul. Tips? Wrath of Neos!

what about 1 necroshade? with prisma you can pull him in grave and abouse his ef to summon neos from your hand without tribute. this will make neos not to become a dead card on your hand. 87.147.244.108 (talk) 14:13, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, dumping Necroshade with Prisma is a good idea for this deck because it can allow you to normal summon Neos without tribute once, you just need a fusion that lists Necroshade of course. The point of Geartown is that it can special summon any Ancient Gear monster from your Hand/Deck/Grave, so you should probably run 1 less Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon than the number of Geartowns you're using. Also, the Ancient Gear Gadjiltron Dragon isn't too bad of a draw if you have a Geartown but no way to destroy it because it becomes a single tribute monster. --Hozu (talkcontribs) 14:44, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

  • 2 "miracle fusion"...but it is a good deck...yeah

what about Supervise??

Thanks for the advice so far, I will try out all tips and see what it does. But there is only one problem. You all want to add cards but I don't want to play too many cards, so that I still draw the right ones. So maybe someone has advice on that. Which cards are holding the deck back, or maybe a group of cards should be traded for another with a better result.
I've split your advice in groups maybe it helps to give comment:
1) Just to be sure about this the Geartown Strategy uses 3 'Geartown' and 2 'Ancient Gear Gadjrilitron Dragon'?
2) I like to use the Necroshade Strategy. Should I use it with future fusion for 'Elemental Hero Divine Neos' or just 'Elemental hero Prisma'. 2 or 3 Prismas?
3) I'm not sure how to use theSupervise Stategy. Is just adding 3 copies of supervise going to work or does it require an extra Prisma or 'Hero Mask' be sure of having a Neos in the grave.
The biggest problem is which cards I have to leave out for using one of these strategies. Advice? Wrath of Neos

well, i would cut 1 cyberdragon or d.d warrior lady for 1 necroshade. 87.147.244.108 (talk) 21:31, July 4, 2010 (UTC)

Allright guys I realy appreciate your help so far but I need a little more to make a change. I was thinking to use two of the tips but I don't know what I should leave out in return.
1) Supervise Strategy: I was thinking to add 2 'Supervise' or is 3 better? So I have to leave out 2/3 other cards. Icould go for 42/43 cards in the deck but I already have more spells and traps than monsters so...
2) Gadjrilitron Dragon Strategy: for this one I was thinking to add 2 'Geartown' and 1 'Ancient Gear Gadjrilitron Dragon'. I could go for one more but I think this way is best. What do you think?

So in general I have to leave out 2 or 3 cards or none and go for a 43 card deck. I would like you to answer what you have experienced your self.

  • I have wrote "What about supervise"(my name is Tomas)...and i don't have experiense with it...it only was an idea...and if you compare....you have to active "wrath of neos" while ally neos is equipped with suppervise, but if you summon prisma and then change it's name in "neos" and then active geat town...i think gear town methoth is better.Micacle fusion is a nice card..lol
