Ace card[edit]

Ok so if this helps for your deck my choice would be either Angel O7 sence you can use her with Silent Swordsman LV7 or I would pick Tualatin because your deck is probably good at swarming thus you could easily have two or more weak monsters for her effect but you might want to put in Belial - Marquis of Darkness just because he looks f*cking bad a** :). -- Dragon of chaos 15:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I'm not the greatest with computers either(skynet...). Anyway you probably know you type in ~~~~ for your name. It should look like [[User:Land of dogs]] in truth or [[User:Land of dogs|Land of dogs]], but I have noticed you making failed/red links. Anyway if you look at the top right corner of your computer screen you will see a tab that says "MORE", if you scroll down after clicking it, it will say "My prefences", click that. It will show you all your choices on how wikia's will operate for you. If you want to have a nickname (ex. Mine is Dmaster which I could not use on wikipedia because there was a page already named that. So I use D.Kaiser as a username and Dmaster as a nickname), mark the "RAW SIGNATURE" and type in it what you want it to be(ALERT:it must start as [[User:Land of dogs| anything after that "|" will be the name). Cookie Cutter - No Thanks![edit]

Indeed I do dislike cookie cutter decks and prefer originality. I have, however, started using some more splashable staple cards to be able to compete in tournaments. But my deck themes are my own creation, I never look at others' deck lists. Currently I run a Dark Gaia OTK deck with a Monarch backup. I dislike monarchs but I think fusing them is a good way of showing my contempt for them... Rainyday2012 21:19, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

  • Same to you. Also, some "staples" are actually not as good as people think they are, they just run them because lots of people do. And skill is an important part of the game too. I have a friend with a cookie cutter deck that I beat most of the time, but when we exchanged decks for a few games, I still beat him. Good luck in your struggle against the staples! God Cards[edit]

The reason I don't like the God Cards is primarily that are hailed as "powerful" when, in the TCG/OCG, they have no power as they are not legal in any format. I also don't care too much about the Traditional Format. The Wicked Gods I have nothing against, which also applies for the Sacred Beasts. Furthermore, where I live, there are so many Counterfeit God Cards that you grow tired of them and the kids boasting about them...   • There was a card I was going to suggest, but...I'm not sure if it is real. I remember seeing it on a lot of trivias, but it is not there now. The card was a continous trap card that stopped cards from being removed from play. It had the castle from Royal Decree on it.       • I want to ask/comment about you two things. 1. I dislike abusive strategies like using Cyber Dragon only for an easy tribute, but is someone made a Monarch Deck based on the attrbutes and as the only high level monsters would you still hate them. 2. If you really want to destroy the monarchs may I suggest this, build a deck that involves these ideas: 1. Your favorite monsters or series of monsters (Silent and Mystic swordsman if I remember correctly in your case) 2. What your goal is to do (destroy Monarchs and possibly stop D.D. tactics) 3. But don't limit yourself to only one goal (in otherwords be able to beat monarchs by default and accomplish other goals like lockdown or burn tactics). Thank you for looking at my deck but you missed the paragraphs explaining the purpose behind it. I don't understand what you guys are asking when you ask what my goal is, because I don't think I'm answering it right. . .

I take Doom Shaman, resummon him, use his effect to special summon a fiend, I summon Belial and wait. Now opponent can't attack Doom Shaman because Belial must be the target and that means they need to kill him first, I have a large number of Traps with which to stop effects killing my monsters, so the only way to stop Belial is with an attack of 2800 or more (3300 with Mystic Plasma on the field). Thats kind of unlikely to happen, or at least I hope so. Next turn I special summon Byser Shock, all set cards on the field are returned to their hands, therefore no fear of traps, I tribute Byser for Caius and remove from play any monster that happens to be on the field, and attack for 7600+. . .

Its basically a zombie deck with really strong monsters. . .Lostconfound19 16:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

They may not be, and if they are write a letter to wal-mart about it (it's better that way because they may send you "real cards" - I did that for a school project to Heshey saying I got a Hershey bar that was stale (it really wasn't) and I got so coupons for like...10 dollars off there product). Back to the original discussion about...destroying the monarchs...I did some research, and all I have to say is this...you were meant to destroy them. I can tell because of...SILENT SWORDSMAN LV7! By itself it can stop most tokens tactics, due to the fact they come from the effects of spells (Fiend's Sanctuary and Stray Lambs), control tactics (most also require spells such as Soul Exchange and Brain Control) and multiple summoning tactics (such as Double Summon and Chain Summoning). But as I suggested for you a lllooonnnggg time ago, use Royal Decree for lockdowns…which I now realize stops Trap Monsters, Ultimate Offering, and D.D. decks (because they use Macro Cosmos and Dimensional Fissure, which silent also stops, but you should still use Royal Impregnable Fortress). Now the only cards that cause a problem are Treeborn Frog, Dandylion and Monsters that Special Summon from the Hand, like Cyber Dragon, which all special summon…I’d say use Royal Oppression, but they could use that against you. Currently that is the only way I cannot counter, unless you want to use Vanity's Fiend, but you would also have to be careful. Another card (should be in side deck) is Remove Brainwashing, which is used against control decks. So cards you should have SSLV7, Royal Decree, Royal Impenetrable Fortress, possibly Royal Oppression, Vanity's Fiend and Remove Brainwashing. Now you may be asking…WTF is wrong with me and I would say (F*** You!) that I was bored, like to help, and get…”high” of breaking puzzles. XD Dmaster (Contribs • Count) 03:13, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

You're LV deck has a good foundation, but it needs work. For starters, drop your unnecessary cards like Ghost Guardna and add more copies of your fave LV monsters (Armed Dragon is a good place to start). Add searchers such a Flying Kamakiri 1 to speed things up.

Chaos Emperor Dragon and Call of the Haunted are Forbidden, by the way.

hello. just so happens i'm a fellow armed dragon duelist myself-or, at least was. check this, when the chazz pack first came out, i literally pulled armed 10 and armed 7 out of the first 2 packs. i was like, damn!!! lol!

ok, armed: ceasefire, spell absorbing life, light of intervention, final attack orders, card flipper- anything to flip/keep facedowns face-up.

mystic: swords of concealing light, book of moon-anything to flip/keep monsters facedown

overall, best to use strong, regular lv. 4 monster, trib for mid "lv" monsters, then either destroy monster for requirement or activate lv up.

other suggestions: deep diver, summon priest, damage condenser, foolish burial, chain summoning, next to be lost, generation shift primary point: use cards that will draw out and dump monsters to grave, then use monster reincarnation or feather of phoenix to add to hand/top deck. saves time having to wait for draw. quick search/retrieval.

marauding captain will let you special summon mystic and silent 4s, if you still want to use lower lvs. warrior lady of wasteland and giant rat will special to field. primary point: deep diver will pull/put choice monsters on top of deck gorz would still fit too. take hit to summon him. trib token for mid lv. monsters cost down, level conversion lab yeah, cost down armed, mystic, and silent, then summon straight from hand (6 & 7) trap-monsters fiend sanctuary mausoleum --Sirlester3 03:33, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

lv. deck ideas-additons/substitutions[edit]

  • cost down and star blast to reduce levels and summon mid lv. monsters-armed 5- straight from hand.

2 or 3 copies of both spells along with 2 or 3 copies of all 3 mid lv. monsters (i.e. armed 5, mystic 6) take out lowest levels of all 3 monsters and utilize this strategy instead. cut out the weakest link and go straight for mid-strength monsters. then use level up on mid to high lv. monsters only.

  • substitute lowest level lv. monsters with either strong atk/def monsters instead

destiny hero defender, goblin attack force, chainsaw insect, lei lei, or even toon goblin atk force just to keep it in the warrior family

  • can use mausoleum of the emperor also to summon mid lvs. straight from hand.

marauding captain and familiar knight good for summoning mystic 4 from hand w/o being facedown.

  • trap-monsters for atk/def also: metal reflect slime

masked dragon, sangan, warrior of the wasteland, and deep diver for searching.

star blast 2 or 3 copies of mid-level lv. monsters cost down only 1 copy of highest lv. monsters masked dragon warrior of the wasteland relieve monster, damage condenser-mystic sangan deep diver marauding captain familiar knight destiny hero defender spirit reaper marshmallon gyroid dd monsters good for destruction. try newdoria and grave squirmer also foolish burial monster reincarnation feather of the phoenix soul release different dimension reincarnation just some different ideas from a fellow armed dragon lover-at least for summoning part.75.178.39.18 06:32, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

i truly feel you...[edit]

i truly feel you on a lot of things you said. for example, wc 2009. almost every character in the game uses either a plant or zombie deck/ synchro deck. i'm so sick of them now. also, stall and burn decks. those are the 2 only deck types that actually manage to beat, simply they have hold me off of them the entire duel, just to give themselves time to get their kill in place. i can't stall/burn now. it was so irritating. i'm almost sick of synchros now. i do remember you. armed dragon was my signature level monster. to tell you the truth, the only reason i don't play with him now is simply because i've come up with too many ways to beat him. plus, i just don't have the room for him anymore. i've gone back to my original red-eyes' roots: red-eyes darkness metal dragon. i've been watching the japanese 5Ds of course. i like it so much better than gx. 2 seasons down and i've truly enjoyed it. it's funny, my dueling master/sensei was a kaiba deck player with the blue-eyes. i became the red-eyes holder by coincidence. well, i won't keep you too long. it was good hearing from you again, my fellow dragon rider.--75.178.38.35 06:57, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
