If I SS machina fortress and use priority to equip peacekeeper onto fortress, and my opponent chains BTH, what happens?
Is peacekeeper destroyed because Fortress got removed from the field?24.193.88.193 02:55, March 16, 2010 (UTC)
- "Machina Fortress" is destroyed and removed from play. Build the Chain, and resolve backwards:
- Chain Link 1: "Machina Peacekeeper", targeting "Machina Fortress".
- Chain Link 2: "Bottomless Trap Hole"
- (resolve)
- Chain Link 2: "Bottomless Trap Hole" destroys and removes from play "Machina Fortress". The effect of "Machina Peacekeeper" hasn't resolved yet, so "Machina Peacekeeper" isn't equipped to "Machina Fortress" yet, so you can't destroy "Machina Fortress" instead.
- Chain Link 1: "Machina Peacekeeper" tries to equip itself to "Machina Fortress", but "Machina Fortress" isn't on the field, so "Machina Peacekeeper" is destroyed by game mechanics.
