Any monster that is not a Special Summon Monster is considered a [[Normal Summon Monster]].
The "[[Assault Mode]]", "[[Meklord]]", "[[Malefic]]", "[[Lightray]]", "[[Infernoid]]", "[[Legendary Knight]]", "[[Cubic]]" , and "[[Elemental Lord]]" archetypes; as well as the "[[Attribute Spirit]]", "[[Sky Scourge]]", and "[[Sacred Beast]]" series are mostly composed of Special Summon Monsters.
Special Summon Monsters can also be [[Toon monster|Toon]], [[Union monster|Union]], or [[Spirit monster]]s.
