Card Tips:Thor, Lord of the Aesir
- This card works well with Beast or Beast-Warrior deck such as Nordic Beasts or Crystal Beasts.
- This card, when coupled with "Loki, Lord of the Aesir" and "Odin, Father of the Aesir" can essentially prevent your opponents Spell, Traps, and Monster effects. However alone this card is very vulnerable to Spell, Trap and Monster cards, as well as powerful monsters who can best this card's high attack power like "Five-Headed Dragon". Also, once destroyed though by removing one "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" From your graveyard you can revive Thor, the effect can't be used very often unless you have several nordic beast tuners.
- You can easily summon this card by using "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" and "Tanngrisnir of the Nordic Beasts".
- You can use Vanadis of the Nordic Ascendant first effect all other Synchro Material Monsters must be "Nordic" monsters or nordic token. the second effect will acelerate your deck, sending "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" to your graveyard.
- Remove from your hand "Dark Desertapir" with the effect of "Unicorn Beacon" to special summon "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" from out of play and another Level 4 or lower Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard. complete the lv with normal summon.
- You can use the effect of "Summoner Monk" to Special Summon "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" from your deck. Then, Special Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog" from your Graveyard and Synchro Summon this card.
- "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" is one of the keys of a practical fast thor deck.
- Use "Hyena"'s effect to summon two "Hyena" from your deck, Finally, summon "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" to synchro summon this card.
- This card can be easily Summon by using "Nordic Beast" Tuner monsters, any Level 5 monster and Level 1 monster or Token like "Metal Fiend Token" or "Malus Token".
- If you want to use "Thor, Lord of the Aesir"'s damage effect, make sure you have numbers of "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" in your graveyard. Also, use “Burial from a Different Dimension” to return your Nordic Beast Tuners to the Graveyard to keep reviving "Thor, Lord of the Aesir".
- This card works well with "Light of Intervention" to allow this card to negate the effects of all face-up monsters the opponent controls.
- This card works well with "Solemn Authority" to prevent any other targeting card effects from harming "Thor, Lord of the Aesir".
- You can use "Last March" to ensure a safe direct attack when your opponent doesn't have monsters but spells and traps.
- Combine this card with "Horn of the Phantom Beast" so you will have a 4300 ATK monster that can destroy the opponent's monsters by battle and draw 1 card. Add "Enraged Battle Ox" + "Pitch-Black Warwolf" and you have one fast and furious perfect recipe to make your opponent scream in fear.
- When this card was attacked by 3500+ ATK monster, you can use "Nordic Relic Megingjord" to increase this card's attack 7000 ATK and inflict massive counter damage to your opponent.
- Combine this card with "Scapegoat" and "United We Stand" to give you a formidable 7500 ATK monster.
- Use piercing card effects to finish off the opponent.
- This card works well with "Wild Nature's Release" and "Strike Slash" to have a 7000 ATK piercing monster.
- The effect of this card is very useful against face-up monsters that "cannot be destroyed by battle" like "Spirit Reaper", etc.. OR Once per turn, if this card would be destroyed by battle, it is not destroyed. (Damage calculation is applied normally.) like "Dark Resonator", etc...
- All cards that you banish with this card`s ability can be returned to the graveyard with "Miracle Dig".
