Emma is a tall young woman with fair skin. She has long pink hair with lavender bangs and pink eyes. She also wears reddish-pink lipstick. She wears a black outfit with a dark pink t-shirt underneath with dark blue strip going across her body and a black belt at the waistline. She also wears a black choker and black and purple boots and sports black finger-less gloves on both of her hands.

As Ghost Gal, Emma's bangs, eyes, and part of her hair change from lavender and pink to gray. She wears a short-sleeved skintight black shirt lined with grey at the edges and down the center that extends into a mask that covers the lower half of her face, under a sleeveless blue and black one-piece outfit that ends in short shorts. Her belt is the same in form, and has a grey buckle with a golden "G" emblazoned on it, and her gloves are also the same. She also wears a pouch strapped to her right thigh, and mid-thigh-high black stockings with calf-length black boots with grey soles and straps. When she uses her Skill, [[Secret Cure]], the blue parts of her outfit glow.

Starting from the second season, Ghost Gal changes her outfit. Though similar in shape to her previous outfit, it diverges in the details, and she no longer wears a mask. She wears a small dark grey mantle over a blue, white, and black one-piece outfit that ends in short shorts and short sleeves. Her gloves are dark grey and extend further down her arms, with straps around the wrist and pink backs. Her boots, stockings, and pack are the same, but dark grey instead of black with black straps and soles instead of light grey ones.

===Personality===
Emma is shown to be a mercenary Duelist/hacker for hire. She is cunning, playful, devious and skilled as shown when she trapped Playmaker. She also appears to have an interest in Playmaker. Emma shows little concern over which side of a conflict she takes as long as she gets paid and is even willing to backstab people she's worked with before. She prefers showing her clients proof that she indeed has the data they want before giving them the full archives as a show of trust. Emma studies her opponents and surroundings carefully and makes close and precise assumptions to their moves. Thus, she uses this knowledge as she sees fit.

Emma does show some legitimate concern for Akira Zaizen though, informing him of her plans if she feels it will benefit him as well. This also extends towards his younger sister, Skye Zaizen, as well, showing a particularly soft spot for her, encouraging her to take action when needed. Her English voice actress, Megan Macphee, describes her as a "strong lady".

Despite her mercenary attitude, Emma ultimately has good intentions at heart, joining the battle to save LINK VRAINS time after time. After Playmaker saved her, she viewed herself as in his debt and refused to take up the bounty on him despite this meaning she came into conflict with her brother.

She has a built-in rope feature in her Duel Disk, allowing her to swing. She also has "fireflies" which scan the areas and tell Emma where to go. Emma had a comfortable childhood with [[Mrs. Bessho|her mother]] and [[Mr. Bessho|father]]. Eventually, Emma became a skilled hacker and cyber treasure hunter under the identity "Ghost Gal". Emma worked alongside [[Akira Zaizen]] and [[The Shepherd]] in a net world that was not [[LINK VRAINS]] to capture a [[hacker]]. Shepherd used them as bait to attain a chance to destroy the hacker's Avatar, and rescue Emma from the hacker's bomb, calling her by her real name.<ref name="ep53">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! She was present in the hospital when Zaizen learned of his sister's condition. At some point, Emma was hired by [[SOL Technologies]] and reported to them about Skye being Blue Angel. She later met with Zaizen to discuss trapping Playmaker, where she revealed that she had divulged Zaizen's relationship to Blue Angel to SOL Technologies. Ghost Gal masqueraded as Blue Angel and successfully lured Playmaker to LINK VRAINS. He confronted her knowing that she was deceiving him, she then proceeded to trap him and witnessed Zaizen interrogate and torture Playmaker. She was surprised by the appearance of [[Roken Kogami|Varis]] and his ability to control [[Data Storm]]s.<ref name="ep8">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|8|ref}}</ref> Per Zaizen's orders, Ghost Gal went after Varis and Playmaker with a camera to film their Duel. Ghost Gal admitted that she could log out of LINK VRAINS to create a program to enter the Data Storm, but she would not be able to return to the network. To her surprise, [[Cal Kolter|someone]] created a path for her to enter the Data Storm, and Ghost Gal realized that Playmaker had an ally they never knew about. The path allowed her to enter the eye of the Storm, and Ghost Gal watched Varis and Playmaker's Master Duel, with her cameras recording it. She learned about the [[Ignis]], A.I. said to have free will like the one Playmaker held.<ref name="ep11" /> As she watched the Duel, Ghost Gal commented on the situation, and she learned that Playmaker desired revenge for something that had happened to him ten years previously. This intrigued her, hearing the connection with SOL Technologies. When Varis was defeated, Ghost Gal returned to Zaizen, and watched as Playmaker used the virus-removal program he'd won on Blue Angel. Blue Angel disappeared, and Ghost Gal reassured Akira that she had successfully logged out. Playmaker left before Zaizen could thank him, impressing Ghost Gal with his cool attitude. After logging out, Ghost Gal sent an anonymous tip to Zaizen's chauffeur, [[Nathaniel]], to drive Zaizen to the hospital to be with his sister.<ref name="ep12">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! Later she logged into LINK VRAINS and met with [[Frog (character)|Frog]] and [[Pigeon]] regarding a interview they had asked "Ghost Gal" to do for them. She gave them the answers to their questions as well as all the information she had gathered about Playmaker for a very expensive price. After her interview, Emma was doing research on Playmaker, recalling his [[Skill]] to obtain monsters from the Data Storm and that ordinary people could not use. She wondered if Playmaker could use it because of his connection with the Data Storm, which she believed to be related to the incident that Varis and Playmaker had discussed. She attempted to find out more by hacking SOL Technologies' data bank with a backdoor program, but a Data Storm protected the database, forcing her to shut down her computer. Emma later spoke with Zaizen about his demotion despite helping save LINK VRAINS; Zaizen replied that he didn't mind as Skye had been healed. Emma noted that Zaizen had been replaced by his former boss, [[Kitamura]], whom Akira believed to be the one making a Duelist army that of A.I. Emma explained that she wanted the Incident Playmaker had been involved in, but as Zaizen knew nothing about it, she'd decided to search on her own by hacking into SOL Technologies' data bank. Zaizen was shocked, but Emma claimed it was just to make connections with them. Zaizen asked her to give the program to him, but Emma replied that she didn't have to, suggesting he pay her. Zaizen refused, so Emma left, suggesting that Playmaker could buy the program. Back at her house, Emma recalled how someone created a path for her to enter the Data Storm during Varis and Playmaker's Master Duel, and she analyzed the program used to create the path and sent a message to its writer offering them the backdoor program if they could defeat her in a Duel.<ref name="ep14">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! She soon received a reply, and she quickly logged into the LINK VRAINS. Ghost Gal quickly met up with Playmaker, and showed him the program she set as a stake for their Duel. Playmaker wondered why she wouldn't access the data bank, she claimed that she wanted his A.I. so she could sell it to SOL Technologies. She admitted she grew more interested in Playmaker after his latest Duel, and that she wanted to battle him as a cyber treasure hunter. Despite Ai's warnings, Playmaker accepted her challenge. In her first turn, Ghost Gal summoned "[[Altergeist Marionetter (anime)|Altergeist Marionetter]]" and Set two Trap Cards, misdirecting Playmaker enough to fend off the attack of his "[[Cyberse Wizard (anime)|Cyberse Wizard]]" with "[[Altergeist Kunquery (anime)|Altergeist Kunquery]]". Despite his attack's failure, Ghost Gal was intrigued by his courage in attacking despite despite her Set cards. Ghost Gal then Link Summoned "[[Altergeist Primebanshee (anime)|Altergeist Primebanshee]]" and swapped one of her "Altergeist Marionetters" for "[[Altergeist Meluseek (anime)|Altergeist Meluseek]]", aiming to defeat Playmaker before he could use his Skill. Ai believed that Ghost Gal couldn't inflict enough damage in one turn, but was scolded by both Ghost Gal and Playmaker for such thinking; Playmaker claimed no Duelist would make such a simple error, making Ghost Gal wonder why everyone was after this "dumb A.I.". "Meluseek" attacked directly, sending "Cyberse Wizard" to the [[Graveyard]] with its effect, allowing "Marionetter" and "Primebanshee" to attack Playmaker directly. Ghost Gal smiled, feeling her dreams grow larger, and ordered Playmaker to brace himself for his defeat.<ref name="ep14"/>

Playmaker was able to save himself by [[Special Summon]]ing "[[Lockout Gardna (anime)|Lockout Gardna]]" in [[Attack Position]]. Rather than attack it and reduce Playmaker's LP low enough to use "Storm Access", Ghost Gal (not fooled by Ai's attempts to entice her into attacking) opted not to attack. On Playmaker's turn, Ghost Gal swapped "Altergeist Meluseek" with "[[Altergeist Silquitous (anime)|Altergeist Silquitous]]", by using the effect of "Altergeist Primebanshee", and also added another "Kunquery" to her hand. Playmaker attempted to destroy her ace with "[[Backlinker (anime)|Backlinker]]", but was prevented by Ghost Gal's "[[Altergeist Protocol (anime)|Altergeist Protocol]]". Ghost Gal claimed she could anticipate their every move: Playmaker attempted to revive Backlinker with "[[Striping Partner (anime)|Striping Partner]]", but was stopped by "Altergeist Silquitos". Using "Lockout Gardna", both effects were negated, though Ghost Gal had one final trap prepared. She noted how Playmaker was an interesting person, as she suspected. Playmaker Link Summoned "[[Underclock Taker (anime)|Underclock Taker]]" and tried to weaken "Altergeist Primebanshee". Ghost Gal countered that with "[[Altergeist Camouflage (anime)|Altergeist Camouflage]]", and protected "Altegeist Primebanshee" from attacks, stating Playmaker had reached his limits.<ref name="ep15">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! But Playmaker paid 1000 LP to activate the effect of his "Balancer Lord", bringing him low enough to use "Storm Access". Ghost Gal refused to let him do so, activating her own Skill "[[Secret Cure]]" to increase their LP. Despite her efforts, Playmaker Special Summoned "[[Scan Doll]]", and paid 1000 LP to use "Altergeist Protocol" on "Altergeist Silquitos". However, Ghost Gal believed he simply forgot about "Altergeist Kunquery" she still had in her hand. Playmaker used "Storm Access", and Ghost Gal followed him into the Data Storm, but she lost control of her [[Duel Board]] and fell off. To her surprise, Playmaker saved her, reminding her their Duel was not over yet. Outside the Data Storm, Ghost Gal thanked Playmaker, but stated that him saving her had nothing to do with their Duel. Playmaker brought out "[[Excode Talker (anime)|Excode Talker]]", and prevented Ghost Gal from using two of her remaining Monster Zones, thus sealing he effect of "Kunquery" and leaving her open to the direct attacks of "Excode Talker", which defeated her. After the Duel, Ghost Gal watched the moon. Ai stated that it was just data, though Ghost Gal replied dumb A.I.s couldn't understand this feeling. Ghost Gal gave the backdoor program to Playmaker, bid him farewell and departed, but not before deleting the footage of the Duel that Frog and Pigeon had recorded, wishing to keep their Duel a secret.<ref name="ep15"/>

Later, Ghost Gal revealed to Zaizen that she had given the program to Playmaker. Zaizen was furious, wondering what was Ghost Gal thinking. As a digital butterfly flew near them, Ghost Gal defended herself, reminding Zaizen that he also wanted to know more about the data in the data bank, but that he had no authority after his demotion. Ghost Gal claimed that Kitamura would be held responsible, and would attempt to stop Playmaker, and Zaized realized that if they used Playmaker as a decoy, nobody would notice their activities. After Zaizen logged out, Ghost Gal addressed the digital butterfly as Blue Angel, well aware that Skye had been spying on them, and she offered her a chance to restore her reputation.<ref name="ep16">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|16|ref}}</ref>

Zaizen and Emma watched Playmaker's infiltration in Emma's computer, logging into LINK VRAINS after Kitamura sent [[Prototype Green-A|two]] [[Prototype Red-B|A.I.s]] to Duel Playmaker.<ref name="ep16" /> Ghost Gal was pleased to see that Blue Angel had come to the mother computer system to aid Playmaker, much to Zaizen's shock, and her accused Ghost Gal of being involved and tried to save his sister. Ghost Gal reminded him that this was their only chance to learn about the Incident, stating that Zaizen's sister was not a child. With Playmaker and Blue Angel Dueling the A.I.s, they easily made to the data bank, and they learned about the Lost Incident, also known as the Hanoi Project, masterminded by [[Kiyoshi Kogami]] that had involved kidnapping six children, including Playmaker. She hid when Playmaker arrived, and asked Zaizen to hide as well, but he refused despite the risks to their plan.<ref name="ep17">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|17|ref}}</ref> Playmaker asked them why they were in the data bank, and Ghost Gal explained that they were after the data as well. Ai accused Ghost Gal of losing on purpose to give them the backdoor route, but Ghost Gal reminded him that she still had the opportunity to obtain him and had been fine with either outcome. She anticipated that Zaizen would challenge Playmaker to a Duel, noting the strength of his Deck and observing his "[[Tindangle Angel (anime)|Tindangle Angel]]" and "[[Tindangle Hound (anime)|Tindangle Hound]]" combo, comparing them to Akira and Skye's bond as siblings to bring one another back.<ref name="ep18">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! As the Duel continued, Ghost Gal complimented Zaizen for summoning "[[Tindangle Acute Cerberus (anime)|Tindangle Acute Cerberus]]" during Playmaker's turn. She was pleased when the watching Blue Angel revealed herself to them, and she chipped in with details as Zaizen revealed the history of the Lost Incident.<ref name="ep19">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|19|ref}}</ref> As the Duel continued, she noted that Zaizen's cards both protected his monsters and gave him multiple ways to win. Despite this, Playmaker withstood him by using "[[Cynet Backdoor (anime)|Cynet Backdoor]]", which would allow his "[[Firewall Dragon (anime)|Firewall Dragon]]" to make a direct attack on Zaizen. Zaizen was able to prevent him from attacking with "[[Euler's Circuit (anime)|Euler's Circuit]]", and Ghost Gal believed that this would allow Zaizen to fulfill the conditions of "Gergonne's End" and defeat Playmaker. But despite the limitations, Playmaker triggered the effect of "Gergonne's End" and negated the damage, then his "Firewall Dragon" defeated "Tindangle Acute Cerberus", and defeated Zaizen. Ghost Gal was impressed by Playmaker, noting that nobody could calm his desire for revenge. After Playmaker logged out, Ghost Gal told the Zaizens to be nice to each other, and logged out as well. Emma departed on her motorcycle, wondering who would buy the data she acquired.<ref name="ep20">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|20|ref}}</ref>

Ghost Gal was in LINK VRAINS when an eclipse blocked the virtual sun; she suspected the Knights of Hanoi were behind this, and that this was a new threat.<ref name="ep22">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|22|ref}}</ref> As the Knights of Hanoi began more brazenly invading LINK VRAINS and [[Deleted|Deleting]] people, Emma largely remained at her hideout, observing Kitamura's A.I. army confronting the Knights of Hanoi.<ref name="ep24">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|24|ref}}</ref> At a local café, she watched The Gore Duel a Knight of Hanoi on the news, as well as hearing news that Blue Angel had not appeared in LINK VRAINS for some time. Emma met Skye at [[Den City High School]], revaling her that she knew her identity as Blue Angel and that she was Ghost Gal. At a nearby bridge, Emma asked if Skye was done with her online persona, and then told her that it would be fine if she stopped being Blue Angel if she couldn't take full responsibility for her actions and only wanted to do things to please herself. After the three Commanders of the Knights of Hanoi were defeated, their attacks ceased. Zaizen met up with Emma at Green Park, reporting that with the Knights of Hanoi gone, peace had returned to LINK VRAINS. Emma wondered if Zaizen came here just to tell her that, and Zaizen admitted that despite the victory, SOL Technologies had been looking for more employees. Zaizen believed that the Knights of Hanoi wouldn't retreat that easily, and noted Varis was still on the loose. Emma felt that something was going on, and she decided search through LINK VRAINS for a treasure. She promised to sell it to Zaizen, who asked for a discount, and Emma promised to think about it. Ghost Gal logged into LINK VRAINS for her treasure hunt, releasing data fireflies to help her in her search. She found Playmaker and Ai, who had traced her data fireflies. Ghost Gal admitted that she had a tip from someone about something going on in LINK VRAINS, and decided that it was likely true if Playmaker was investigating it as well. Ghost Gal admitted that her data fireflies led her to treasure, and Playmaker warned her that the path ahead was dangerous and advised her to log out. Ghost Gal thought Playmaker would steal her treasure, commenting that the reward would be greater if it was dangerous. The data fireflies led them into a data sewer, leading to a reprocessing plant. Playmaker was surprised Ghost Gal knew about it, and Ghost Gal explained that she was a treasure hunter that visited many virtual worlds. They came to a fork in the path; Ghost Gal's data fireflies passed down the path on the right. Ai suggested that they settle who took which path with a game, which amused Ghost Gal. Ghost Gal told him that whoever chose the "lovelier" card from her Deck could choose the path they took. Ai declared a [[Destiny Draw]], only to pick "[[Fake Trap (anime)|Fake Trap]]". Ghost Gal claimed the card was the least lovely in her Deck, and didn't even bother to draw a card. Ghost Gal came to the reprocessing plant, protected by a force field. Ghost Gal easily cut her way through with a knife, and found [[Tower of Hanoi|a massive pulsing energy core]]. She had her data fireflies analyze it, and learned that an incredible amount of energy was being poured into the core. Some of her fireflies moved to a different area of the plant, and Ghost Gal used a grappling hook to follow them, only to find Varis, who was surprised by her arrival and noted that she was snooping again. Ghost Gal promised to leave but Varis barred the exits. Ghost Gal asked Varis what he planned to do with her after capturing her, suspecting she would be in trouble. Varis offered her a chance to leave if she defeated him in a Duel, as he wished to test his rebuilt Deck. Ghost Gal attempted to log out, but Varis pointed out that logging out was disabled.<ref name="ep30"/>

Ghost Gal had no choice but to Speed Duel Varis, and started off by summoning "[[Altergeist Marionetter (anime)|Altergeist Marionetter]]" and setting "[[Altergeist Manifestation (anime)|Altergeist Manifestation]]".<ref name="ep30" /> Ghost Gal was surprised that Varis had been in the reprocessing plant, but swore to defeat him to inform the others about what was going on. Ghost Gal noted that Varis did not include an A.I. in his Duel Disk, and Varis stated trusting an AI was foolish. Ghost Gal remembered Varis spoke that Ignis would destroy the world, but Varis ignored her, considering her as a mercenary that would not understand that. Ghost Gal reminded herself of Varis's ace, and noted the longer the Duel lasted, the more she would be at a disadvantage. Varis quickly brought out "Topologic Bomber Dragon", as Ghost Gal sensed Varis wanted to quickly end the Duel. She was able to negate its effects with "Altergeist Kunquery", and she asked Varis about the energy sphere, but Varis simply replied that something unimaginable was about to happen. Ghost Gal then used the effect of "[[Altergeist Silquitous (anime)|Altergeist Silquitous]]" to return "Topologic Bomber Dragon" to Varis's Extra Deck, displeasing him, then Link Summoning "[[Altergeist Primebanshee (anime)|Altergeist Primebanshee]]" and reviving the "[[Altergeist Kidolga (anime)|Altergeist Kidolga]]" that she'd used as a Link Material for the latter's Summon. Ghost Gal's "Altergeist" monsters attacked Varis directly, dropping his LP to 400, and the effect of "Kidolga" even took Varis's "[[Twin Triangle Dragon (anime)|Twin Triangle Dragon]]" to defeat him.<ref name="ep31">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! Ghost Gal gloated in her victory, but Varis called her a fool. With [[Mirror Force (anime)|a single Trap Card]], Varis negated the attack and destroyed all of Ghost Gal's monsters. Ghost Gal realized Varis could have simply played his card earlier to avoid damage, and all of that was just so he could activate his Skill. Varis mocked her for not predicting that, while Ghost Gal returned her "Altergeist Marionetter" to her hand. To prevent Varis from using his Skill, Ghost Gal activated "[[Secret Cure]]" to at least raise Varis's LP, but much to her displeasure she drew the zero ATK "Altergeist Kunquery". Varis continued mocking her, stating that her luck had abandoned her. Despite the setback, Ghost Gal planned her strategy to deal with Varis's effects and attacks using "Altergeist Protocol". Unfortunately for her, Varis Set Ghost Gal's card with "[[Red Reboot (anime)|Red Reboot]]", which also let Ghost Gal set a Trap Card from her Deck, but rendered her unable to use any Trap Cards during his turn. Ghost Gal still believed she had the LP and field advantage, but Varis mocked her, claiming that only darkness awaited her from which she could not escape. Varis used his own Skill, "[[Storm Access (anime)|Storm Access]]", to obtain a new Link Monster, which emitted from the energy sphere. Varis Link Summoned his new monster, "[[Topologic Trisbaena (anime)|Topologic Trisbaena]]", and used it to defeat Ghost Gal, who screamed as she fell off her Duel Board. By this point Playmaker had arrived, and he swore to save her, but Ghost Gal claimed that she was too pathetic for a professional. Instead she gave Playmaker the data she had acquired by analyzing the sphere. Ghost Gal glowed with a red light, and started vanishing. She warned Playmaker about Varis and his new card before disappearing.<ref name="ep31"/> With her loss, her data was added to the [[Tower of Hanoi]] and used to construct its rings.<ref name="ep32">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! Three months after waking from her coma, Emma visited the new [[LINK VRAINS]], noting that there were likely many new treasures to be found here. She encountered [[Naoki Shima|The Brave Battler]], who introduced himself as [[Yusaku Fujiki|Playmaker]]'s ally. Ghost Gal claimed to be impressed, and departed, warning The Brave Battler that he shouldn't broadcast his relationship with Playmaker. She met up with [[The Shepherd]] in the central plaza, noting that he'd accepted the contract on Playmaker from [[SOL Technologies]]. Shepherd confirmed that he had, and criticized Ghost Gal for being soft when she stated that she hadn't as she owed Playmaker. She criticized him for making his decisions based on money, and he replied that it was professional and warned her that he wouldn't show her mercy if she opposed him.<ref name="ep47">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|47|ref}}</ref> She later observed both Playmaker's Speed Duel against Bohman, and [[Theodore Hamilton|Soulburner]]'s against [[Bit]][[Boot]], surprised by the [[Reincarnation Link Summon]] that Soulburner used and that he had an [[Ignis]].<ref name="ep48">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! The next day, [[Akira Zaizen|Zaizen]] called Emma and [[Skye Zaizen|Skye]] to Green Park.<ref name="ep50">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|50|ref}}</ref> He explained the history of the Ignis to them and that they had been scattered, and explained that he wanted Emma to find them in a mysterious world beneath LINK VRAINS. Emma deduced that Zaizen didn't want SOL Technologies knowing about this, and Zaizen stated that he wanted to learn the truth about the Ignis's intentions. As she knew The Shepherd would be on her tail if she messed up, Emma requested triple her usual fee, and Zaizen gave her a logout program that could extract her even in the unknown world. Skye then downloaded the program herself, intending to accompany Emma. Emma was unhappy with Skye's decision, believing she would hold her back, but Skye convinced Zaizen to allow her to go, and Emma reluctantly agreed.<ref name="ep53"/>

Before logging in, Emma sent the information about the gate and a stealth program to Playmaker, informing Zaizen of the decision so that the Bounty Hunters would pursue them rather than her and Skye.<ref name="ep50" /> Ghost Gal and Blue Angel logged in, using Ghost Gal's stealth program to bypass the security cameras and the restricted barrier. After they entered the Restricted Area, they removed their stealth programs, and Blue Angel revealed that she'd changed her Avatar for the stealth mission. Ghost Gal approved of her more mature look and dubbed the new Avatar "Blue Gal". As they descended, Blue Gal asked Ghost Gal about The Shepherd, and Ghost Gal recalled their mission to capture the [[hacker]], but didn't divulge her musings to Blue Gal, simply telling her that Shepherd was dangerous and would do anything to capture his prey.<ref name="ep53" />

Ghost Gal and Blue Gal successfully managed to enter the unknown world through the gate, where they were met by strong winds. After being nearly brought down, both of them landed safely, only to find the emergency signal from the missing research team. As they reached the cave originating the signal, they found the unconscious researchers. Blue Gal suggested they could rescue them by using their emergency evacuation program, but that would require using both of their logout, and Ghost Gal wasn't willing to risk it. Blue Gal then explained how she couldn't leave them behind, since her previous defeats only showed how much of a child she still was, forcing others to always save her, and for that reason, she couldn't allow herself to leave others behind. With that reasoning, Ghost Gal accepted using her program as well, logging out both researchers. After leaving the cave, they managed to travel safely through the winds using a shield program, until it suddenly stopped blowing as Playmaker and Soulburner reached them.<ref name="ep55"/>

Upon making contact with the two, Blue Gal presented herself as Blue Angel. Soulburner was happy to meet another savior of the old LINK VRAINS, but Blue Gal stated they were actually seeking to retrieve the Ignis. While both Playmaker and Ghost Gal were willing to solve the situation without Dueling, Soulburner accepted Blue Gal's challenge.<ref name="ep55" /> Playmaker departed afterwards, and Ghost Gal opted not to follow him, instead watching her partner's Speed Duel. She was visibly satisfied with Blue Gal's performance, as she was able to predict and prevent all of Soulburner's initial moves. However, he was able to turn the Duel around and [[Fusion Summon]]ed "[[Salamangreat Violet Chimera (anime)|Salamangreat Violet Chimera]]", winning the Duel in a single attack. Ghost Gal was surprised to see Blue Gal lose so suddenly, especially considering the position she was in. After Soulburner forcibly logged out Blue Gal, Ghost Gal approached him, but decided not to challenge him after seeing the poor condition in which he was due to the previous battle. [[Flame (character)|Flame]] then offered her a copy of Blue Gal's evacuation program, which she accepted, recognizing she wouldn't be able to go any further without her partner.<ref name="ep56">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|56|ref}}</ref>

Zaizen met with Emma and Skye in Green Park, and Emma told Zaizen that Playmaker was after [[Jin Kolter|someone]]'s consciousness data. Emma noted Zaizen's regret that SOL Technologies kept pursuing Playmaker, and Zaizen admitted that he owed Playmaker. Zaizen suggested finding Playmaker in the real world, but Emma found the task futile. However, Skye later came to her with a possible lead; Naoki Shima, aka The Brave Battler, who had claimed to be Playmaker's friend. Emma decided to test Shima in a Duel, suggesting that Skye could lure him out with a Blue Angel event. Skye was displeased, but set the event up, and Ghost Gal met with The Brave Battler in a side street. She teased him that she might be a bounty hunter before clarifying that she was joking and challenged him to a Duel. Ghost Gal went easy on The Brave Battler, warning him beforehand of the effect of "[[Altergeist Silquitous (anime)|Altergeist Silquitous]]" and waiting to see what he'd do. The Brave Battler depleted half his LP to [[Special Summon]] two "[[Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest (anime)|Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest]]", and Ghost Gal wondered if he would simply attack. Instead, The Brave Battler [[Link Summon]]ed "[[Metal Baboon, Stalwart of the Forest]]" and attacked, believing that a [[Link Monster]] was immune to the effect of "Silquitous". Ghost Gal promptly swarmed her field with "[[Altergeist]]" monsters and returned "Metal Baboon" to The Brave Battler's [[Extra Deck]]. The Brave Battler asked her not to defeat him with three attacks, and Ghost Gal obliged, Link Summoning "[[Altergeist Hexstia (anime)|Altergeist Hexstia]]" and defeating him in a single attack, realizing that The Brave Battler was simply talking big. Blue Gal apologized to Ghost Gal for wasting her time, and Ghost Gal reassured her that it was expected before reminding Blue Gal that Blue Angel still had to make an appearance.<ref name="ep60">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|60|ref}}</ref>

Later, Emma detected the gate opening again, and she began coding, managing to attach a data firefly to Soulburner as he approached the gate, which drew him in after he and Playmaker approached it.<ref name="ep60" /> Emma realized that the gate was fabricated and only the same as the genuine one on a surface level, and contacted Skye to inform her of the situation, though she told her not to log in. Emma suspected The Shepherd was behind the gate, and that Zaizen likely knew the gate was false too.<ref name="ep61">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|61|ref}}</ref> Emma attempted to observe what was going on inside the gate with the bug she'd planted on Soulburner, but Shepherd destroyed it instantly.<ref name="ep62">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|62|ref}}</ref> However, Emma had managed to sneak another bug in the form of a lizard in to keep an eye on Soulburner and The Shepherd's Duel. She noticed that a rescue program had been launched, and she quickly deduced that [[Cal Kolter|Playmaker's ally]] was responsible. She noted that it was a good program, but lacked the finishing touches needed to defeat Shepherd's tendencies. She began modifying the program, and saw Soulburner fool Shepherd by faking his trauma, impressed that he got one over Shepherd. Emma launched the program just as Soulburner declared a direct attack, destroying the trap. Ghost Gal then logged in and confronted The Shepherd, and he warned her that he'd told her not to interfere. Ghost Gal claimed Shepherd might have lost, but Shepherd snapped that he would have won and he turned his arm on her, warning her that they would be enemies if she interfered.<ref name="ep63">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|63|ref}}</ref>

Akira visited Emma and Skye at Emma's hideout and told them that two of the Ignis, the [[Lightning|Light]] and [[Windy|Wind]] Ignis, in addition to another A.I. called [[Bohman]] wanted to conquer humanity. As Skye wondered if there and been a falling out between the Ignis, Emma pointed out that Ai and Flame would be on their side. Skye pointed out that there would be [[Earth (character)|two]] [[Aqua (character)|other]] Ignis left, and Emma decided that they would search for them and hopefully ally with them, though she didn't want to imagine what would happen if they decided to side with the other rouge Ignis. [[George Gore|The Gore]] found the two Ignis first and challenged one of them, Earth, to a Speed Duel; Akira sent Emma and Skye the feed of the Duel. Earth appeared to gain the upper hand, impressing Emma. Skye decided to go to [[LINK VRAINS]] as she believed she was useless in the real world, and she told Emma to stay behind and give her status updates. Emma was flustered but pleased by Skye's maturity and she agreed.<ref name="ep74">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|74|ref}}</ref> Unfortunately, though Blue Gal was able to catch up with Playmaker, Earth, and Gore, but Gore defeated Earth and captured him and was logged out before Blue Gal or Playmaker could Duel him.<ref name="ep75">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|75|ref}}</ref>

That night, Emma and Skye watched Earth's dissection from their hideout in horror as the Ignis protested that he was alive, and Skye asked Emma what an Ignis really was.<ref name="ep75" /> Emma told Skye to ask Akira, and they met with him on the hill the next day. After Skye had posed her questions to Akira, Emma asked if this had been why Akira wanted them to find the Ignis first, and Akira admitted that he hadn't thought SOL Technologies would go so far. At [[Emma Bessho's apartment|her apartment]] that night, Emma worked on finding Aqua, deciding to follow The Shepherd as she believed he'd likely find her first. Skye woke up from a dream about a childhood friend, [[Miyu Sugisaki|Miyu]], though Emma suggested she go back to sleep if she'd been dreaming about a date with a handsome guy. She explained to Skye what she was doing, given that The Gore had captured Earth she believed The Shepherd would pursue Aqua. Emma's judgment was correct, and after Blue Gal saved Aqua from The Shepherd, Ghost Gal concealed them with a program. Aqua thanked Blue Gal for saving her again, and she revealed that her Origin was Miyu, who had been rendered comatose by the Light Ignis. Ghost Gal was surprised that there had been a connection between Aqua and Blue Gal, so she decided to take on The Shepherd to allow them to escape. Ghost Gal met up with Shepherd, and he angrily asked her why she was siding with the Ignis. Ghost Gal claimed it was due to woman's friendship and admitted her own surprise at her actions. She accepted Shepherd's challenge of a [[Deletion Duel]] that would erase the loser's account, and revealed that she knew he was her half-brother.<ref name="ep76">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|76|ref}}</ref>

Ghost Gal tried to talk Shepherd out of his hatred for the Ignis, but The Shepherd snapped that her comfortable upbringing meant she knew nothing and he ordered her to continue. Ghost Gal started strongly in comparison to Shepherd's simple first turn; although she failed to negate the effect of his "[[Drone Corporal]]" with "[[Infinite Impermanence (anime)|Infinite Impermanence]]", the move allowed her to swarm her field with her "[[Altergeist]]" monsters, Link Summoning "Altergeist Hexstia" and [[Synchro Summon]]ing "[[Altergeist Dragvirion (anime)|Altergeist Dragvirion]]". This allowed her to both empower "Hexstia" and allow her to continuously provide it with [[Tribute]] for its own negation effect, countering The Shepherd's "[[Capture Drone]]". Though she knew Shepherd wouldn't let her win so easily, she attempted to defeat Shepherd there and then, but he [[Drone Asteroid|blocked]] her direct attack and warned her that it would be her last turn. He brought out "[[Battledrone General]]" and assembled his formation, but Ghost Gal was able to stop it with "[[Altergeist Kunquery (anime)|Altergeist Kunquery]]". Shepherd claimed it wasn't his aim and instead used "[[Drone Force Tuning]]" to perform his own Synchro Summon during the [[Battle Phase]]. Ghost Gal attempted to negate it with "Hexstia", but "Drone Force Tuning" could not be negated and The Shepherd successfully Synchro Summoned "[[Commandrone Double Sniper]]". Ghost Gal was able to negate the attack and effect of "General", but Shepherd weakened "Dragvirion" with his [[Skill]], "[[Drone Force]]" and attacked with "Double Sniper". Ghost Gal negated that attack as well, but her continual negation of attacks had fueled the effect of "Double Sniper", allowing it to attack directly and Shepherd to Tribute it with the effect of "General", inflicting the [[ATK]] of "Double Sniper" to Ghost Gal and defeating her. Lamenting her inability to protect Blue Gal and Aqua, Ghost Gal told Shepherd about their father's death and that her father had asked her to help him if he needed it. As she accepted her account's erasure, Shepherd spared her and logged out. As Ghost Gal's program dissipated, Playmaker and Soulburner arrived and asked where The Shepherd, Blue Gal and Aqua were. Blue Gal and Aqua revealed themselves; Aqua having taken up residence in Blue Gal's [[Duel Disk]]. Blue Gal then changed her Avatar again, this time to Blue Maiden. Ghost Gal watched the three Ignis and their partners fly away, noting that now all the participants were here.<ref name="ep77" /> She joined them in the sky, heading to the location where Aqua had been imprisoned with Ghost Gal to search for any traces of Lightning's log, but Lightning had covered his tracks well and left no traces.<ref name="ep78">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|78|ref}}</ref> Despite Ghost Gal scanning LINK VRAINS with her data fireflies, they were unable to find any clues.<ref name="ep79">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|79|ref}}</ref>

Emma later took flowers to her father's grave, only to find Kenneth there doing the same. She asked if he had forgiven their father, but Kenneth claimed that he was making peace with his past. He revealed that he knew about the Ignis rebellion, and Emma attempted to enlist Kenneth to help them, but Kenneth refused, claiming that he was working alone and asking Emma to stay out of the battle. Emma and Skye later logged in to search for Lightning again, and [[Cal Kolter|Playmaker's ally]] sent them coordinates to a portal that had appeared. The portal led to Lightning's palace, where he was facing off against Shepherd, who Lightning explained he had invited to eliminate the weakest Duelists first. Shepherd told them to stay out of the Duel, and Ghost Gal watched the Duel nervously as Shepherd countered Lightning's "[[Judgment Arrows]]".<ref name="ep79" /> While her allies commented on the Duel's progress, Ghost Gal remained silent until its conclusion, where Lightning was able to defeat Shepherd. Ghost Gal ran to her brother in horror, revealing their relationship to her allies. Shepherd apologized to Emma for failing to help her, and Ghost Gal realized that Shepherd had struck out on his own to protect her. Shepherd's data was then claimed by Lightning, leaving Ghost Gal calling after her half-brother in horror.<ref name="ep80">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|80|ref}}</ref> Afterwards, Emma visited their father's grave again, thinking of her brother. Skye called her back, as Playmaker and Soulburner had logged into LINK VRAINS again, and Emma arrived in time to see Playmaker and Soulburner encounter The Gore. Skye logged into LINK VRAINS to watch the Duel from there, while Emma remained behind.<ref name="ep81">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|81|ref}}</ref>

Emma later sent Playmaker's allies the footage of Earth's final moments. Playmaker asked her, Blue Maiden, and Aqua to meet with them the next day, and they gathered in the upper levels of LINK VRAINS. Playmaker revealed that [[Roken Kogami|Varis]] wanted to meet with them, much to Ghost Gal's shock, and Ai added that they knew his identity. Although Aqua was cautious of a trap, Ghost Gal was fine with giving Varis a chance given their history. Varis erected a barrier around them when he arrived, and Ghost Gal took up the role of confronting him. Varis explained that he needed their help, having initially attempted to recruit The Shepherd, much to Ghost Gal's shock. He stated that they needed to find Lightning as soon as possible, but Soulburner refused his help, still angered over the Lost Incident, and he challenged Varis to a Duel.<ref name="ep83">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|83|ref}}</ref> Ghost Gal believed that Varis wouldn't go easy on Soulburner, but to her shock he passed his turn. Soulburner found himself unable to finish Varis off, and Varis revealed that he was Roken Kogami, the son of [[Kiyoshi Kogami|Dr. Kogami]] and the one who had saved the children. He asked them to follow them, and Aqua and Blue Maiden stated that they trusted Varis, so Ghost Gal accompanied them into a portal that led to the ruins of the previous LINK VRAINS, where the Tower of Hanoi stood. Varis explained that he intended to use it as a scan program to find Lightning, and Ghost Gal realized this was why Varis had tried to recruit The Shepherd. Varis stated that they would work together to complete the program, so they would be able to stop it at any time, and Ghost Gal agreed to help. Emma became one of the architects of the program, working on it from her hideout. The next morning, Skye asked Emma to go to LINK VRAINS and monitor the situation, as she could contact Zaizen if necessary. Ghost Gal watched from a rooftop as a ghostly duplicate of LINK VRAINS appeared on the horizon.<ref name="ep84">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|84|ref}}</ref>

Ghost Gal continued to monitor the situation in LINK VRAINS as the users grew unsettled, and Zaizen joined her as LINK VRAINS realigned itself.<ref name="ep85">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|85|ref}}</ref><ref name="ep86">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|86|ref}}</ref> Zaizen asked Ghost Gal what was going on as LINK VRAINS began to glitch, and Ghost Gal explained about [[Mirror LINK VRAINS]] to Zaizen. She showed Zaizen footage of Blue Maiden Dueling Bohman, and explained that Blue Maiden was Skye and that she was fighting for Miyu Sugisaki. Zaizen admitted to Ghost Gal that he'd realized that rather than involving Skye in the battle due to his job, she had instead been involved by factors beyond his control. To Ghost Gal's shock, Bohman claimed to have become one with LINK VRAINS and caused the world to glitch violently, preventing people from logging out; Zaizen contacted [[Risa Hayami|Hayami]] to assess the situation, but learned that someone else had taken control of the server.<ref name="ep90">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|90|ref}}</ref> Ghost Gal and Zaizen went to Central Station to access the LINK VRAINS Control Center and use emergency procedures to log everyone out, but Bohman blocked Zaizen's sign-in and projected the Duel on the monitor. Blue Maiden was pushed into a corner by Bohman, and Zaizen screamed at Skye not to give up; Blue Maiden was able to escape her pinch and come close to defeating Bohman, but he was able to survive and strip away the protections of her ace monster, eventually defeating her. Ghost Gal watched silently as Zaizen was allowed a final embrace with Blue Maiden before her data was absorbed by Bohman.<ref name="ep91">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|91|ref}}</ref> Afterwards, Zaizen tried to use all of SOL Technologies' resources to rescue Blue Maiden, but Ghost Gal convinced him to prioritize the users still trapped in LINK VRAINS. To Ghost Gal's shock, footage showed Playmaker Dueling Cal Kolter, the owner of the [[Café Nom]] hotdog truck, and she realized who Kolter was.<ref name="ep92">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! Playmaker defeated Kolter, but Soulburner and Varis were both defeated, leaving only Playmaker and Bohman in LINK VRAINS. As Playmaker Dueled Bohman, Ghost Gal and Zaizen decided to hack the system of LINK VRAINS and shut it down to forcibly log everyone out, though Ghost Gal expressed concern that the users would likely suffer mental damage. A strange Ignis algorithm appeared in both LINK VRAINS and Mirror LINK VRAINS and began striking users down with green lightning as to Ghost Gal's shock, Bohman [[Link Summon]]ed a [[Link 5 Monster Cards|Link-5 monster]], "[[Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid]]" and explained that he had used the algorithm, a [[Neuron Link]], to create it.<ref name="ep99">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|99|ref}}</ref> As Ghost Gal and Zaizen worked, Hayami contacted them and informed them that the number of logins had increased due to curious users logging in; Zaizen angrily noted that Bohman was using the foolishness of humans to his advantage. As more people were trapped by the Neuron Link, Zaizen mused that he and Ghost Gal were likely safe if the Neuron Link was selecting victims in user account order. [[Faust]] then contacted them, informing them of a plan to destroy the Neuron Link by destabilizing the overlap between LINK VRAINS and Mirror LINK VRAINS by attacking it from both within and outside LINK VRAINS. Although Zaizen was unwilling to trust the Knights after their past actions, Ghost Gal convinced him to agree, producing a virus bomb to attack the system from within.<ref name="ep100">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|100|ref}}</ref> As they worked to upload the virus bomb, Ghost Gal noted that the logins have diminished after the danger had become clear. Security prevented the virus bomb from activating, forcing Zaizen to bypass it manually. But Bohman finally noticed their efforts and attacked them with the Neuron Link; Ghost Gal pushed Zaizen out of her way and took the fork of lightning, telling Zaizen not to mess up as her consciousness was trapped by the Neuron Link.<ref name="ep101">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|101|ref}}</ref>

After Playmaker defeated Bohman, Ghost Gal and Zaizen were revived, and they hurried out to Central Station to find Playmaker, Soulburner, Blue Maiden and The Shepherd, and Ai explained that Bohman had revived everyone, suggesting it was due to pride. As Ghost Gal watched Mirror LINK VRAINS crumble in the distance, Soulburner asked what had happened to Flame, and Ai apologized, fleeing into the network.<ref name="ep103">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|103|ref}}</ref>

[[Akira Zaizen|Zaizen]] requested Emma's services again, so she logged into Central Station with [[The Shepherd]] and [[George Gore|The Gore]] to meet with him, [[Skye Zaizen|Blue Maiden]], [[Yusaku Fujiki|Playmaker]], [[Theodore|Soulburner]], and [[Cal Kolter|Unnamed]], Playmaker's support ally. Zaizen revealed that [[Queen]] had been attacked and her code key stolen, and Ghost Gal believed that Zaizen wanted them to retrieve it. Zaizen instead revealed he wanted them to protect him from the culprit; [[Ai]], who had told Zaizen he would come for him in three days. Ghost Gal was surprised that Ai seemed to want revenge on [[SOL Technologies]], though Playmaker asked for time to decide to help.<ref name="ep105">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|105|ref}}</ref>

Three days later, Ghost Gal, The Shepherd, and The Gore logged in again to meet with Blue Maiden, Soulburner and Zaizen; Playmaker was absent. Zaizen revealed that [[Roken Kogami|Varis]] and the [[Knights of Hanoi]] had also agreed to help him, with the promise that they would turn themselves in once Ai was dealt with. Ghost Gal was concerned, as the Knights of Hanoi had previously aimed for revenge against SOL Technologies, but Varis reassured her that [[Lightning]] had been responsible and they no longer bore a grudge against SOL Technologies. Ghost Gal noted that SOL Technologies and Zaizen would also take the fall if the truth was revealed, though Zaizen was resolute in his decision and Ghost Gal accepted it. Varis gave Ghost Gal one of the copies of [[Pandor]], an anti-[[Ignis]] A.I. the Knights of Hanoi had created. Zaizen assigned Ghost Gal, The Shepherd and [[Specter]] to patrol the eastern interior gateway, and as they moved to their assigned positions, Playmaker arrived.<ref name="ep105" /> Playmaker, Soulburner and Varis were distracted by Ai copies, while the real Ai defeated [[Baira]] and [[Dr. Genome]]. Ghost Gal and The Shepherd found Roboppi, who requested to take them on at the same time, and while Shepherd was amused at being underestimated by the household A.I., Ghost Gal quickly agreed as they needed to finish the Duel quickly and stop Ai. Pandor warned Ghost Gal to be careful, as she had no Duel data on Roboppi.<ref name="ep106">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|106|ref}}</ref>

As they began the [[Tag Duel|Tag]] [[Speed Duel]], Roboppi stated they wouldn't use their [[Skill]], though they were fine with Ghost Gal and Shepherd using theirs, and they also offered to let them chose who went first. Shepherd took the first turn, [[Link Summon]]ing "[[Battledrone General]]" and reviving "[[Battledrone Warrant]]". Roboppi Link Summoned "[[Appliancer Celtopus (anime)|Appliancer Celtopus]]", [[co-linked|co-linking]] "[[Appliancer Vacculephant (anime)|Appliancer Vacculephant]]" and "[[Appliancer Propelion (anime)|Appliancer Propelion]]" to it to oppose Shepherd, though Shepherd blunted their efforts by protecting his "[[Drone]]s" with "[[Camouflage Drone]]" and his "[[Drone Force]]" Skill to minimize the damage they took. Ghost Gal noted that Roboppi was strong for a kid, and Shepherd warned Ghost Gal to be careful, noting that Roboppi wasn't a child despite their appearance. Roboppi told them about how they had become smarter and decided that humans were the worst creatures on earth, voicing their desire to turn humans into his experience points and clean the Earth. Ghost Gal was confused by Roboppi's words, though Shepherd claimed that A.I. could not be understood and were the enemies of humanity. Ghost Gal then took her turn, making the most of Shepherd's monsters in combination with her own to Link Summon "[[Altergeist Hexstia (anime)|Altergeist Hexstia]]" and link it with "[[Altergeist Memorygant (anime)|Altergeist Memorygant]]". The effect of "Hexstia" increased its [[ATK]] to 4300, and Ghost Gal declared that this was the bond she shared with her brother and vowed to defeat Roboppi with "Memorygant".<ref name="ep106" /> She attacked with Shepherd's "Drones", successfully inflicting damage to Roboppi with the direct damage and her use of her partner's cards was praised by Pandor. However, when she attacked with "Hexstia", the effect of Roboppi's "Propelion" halved its ATK, resulting in it being destroyed. At Shepherd's encouraging, Ghost Gal Tributed "General" to increase the ATK of "Memorygant" and reduced Roboppi to 200 [[LP]], destroying Roboppi's co-linked monsters and putting herself in a position to win, but Roboppi was able to protect "Celtopus" and their LP, though this left them with no cards in their hand. Despite their disadvantage, Roboppi was able to draw "[[Appliancer Test (anime)|Appliancer Test]]" and revive "Propelion" and "Vacculephant", using "Propelion" to Link Summon a new "Appliancer", "[[Appliancer Laundry Dragon (anime)|Appliancer Laundry Dragon]]". Ghost Gal was able to blunt both of the effects of Roboppi's monsters, but Roboppi [[Appliancer Conversion (anime)|rearranged]] their monsters to unlock their ''other'' effects, allowing "Vacculephant" to attack directly. Under Pandor's advice, Ghost Gal used "Secret Cure" to restore her LP, but the value was too low to prevent the effect of "Laundry Dragon" from wiping her out. As the attack approached, The Shepherd threw himself in the way to absorb the impact, thanking Ghost Gal for freeing him from his prison of hate, and Ghost Gal reached for her brother's hand as their data was absorbed by Ai.<ref name="ep107">{{episode|Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS|107|ref}}</ref>

Emma and Kenneth were restored after Playmaker defeated Ai. She tends to use the [[effect]] of "[[Altergeist Marionetter (anime)|Altergeist Marionetter]]" to set Traps directly to her field from her [[Deck]], but will also use [[hand trap]]s unexpectedly, such as the effect of "[[Altergeist Kunquery (anime)|Altergeist Kunquery]]", even when she has multiple [[Set]] cards on the field. Furthermore, she uses the effect of "[[Altergeist Primebanshee (anime)|Altergeist Primebanshee]]" to swap out her monsters for ones in her Deck, giving her various advantages over her opponents, depending on the moves that they make. As noted by [[Ai]], this gives her a very solid wall of defense.
