- This is the first of the Five Dragons to be Level 7 instead of 8, as opposed to Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend.

- Earthbound Immortal Ccarayhua is the antithesis to this card; Black Rose destroys all cards on the field when it's summoned, where as Ccarayhua destroys all cards on the field when it's destroyed. Also Misty Tredwell (Ccarayhua's user) is Akiza's nemesis.
