Based on the name, these monsters would perhaps visually have been anthropomorphic fish. Such creatures from this era of the franchise include "[[Great White (manga)|Great White]]", which was released in the ''OCG'' as a [[Fish]]-Type, and "[[Half-Fish Man]]" which has never been physically released.

Fishman-Beast (ぎょじんじゅう Gyojinjū) is a Type in Duel Monsters in the Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. It was not included in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Official Card Game or any of the video games.

Fishman-Beast was mentioned in an explanation of the different fields on the Duelist Kingdom island. It was one of the Types that benefited from the Ocean field.[1]
