"Yuhi: The Moody Chronicles" is the fifty-third episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!! anime. It first aired in Japan on April 9, 2023.

Yuhi has run away from home. Having distanced himself from UTS and Rush Duels, he's now hanging out with his delinquent friends and engaging in all kinds of mischief. As he wanders around while being tormented by his own powerlessness, he witnesses the commander of MIK, Phaser Ryugu, having a Duel with That Guy.

Summary[edit]

In the field behind the UTS Underground Office, Yuna and Asaka (now also wearing sailor fuku like Yuamu) join Yudias, Yuamu and Damamu around a table piled high with videotapes. Asaka asks if the footage is from when That Guy Dueled Phaser Ryugu atop Mutsuba Tower and Yudias confirms that it is, Yuamu thanking Damamu for finding it. Damamu claims it was nothing, and Yuhi turns away as Yudias explains they can add the data on the tapes together to use the Vuvuijouppa Vugriyu, though the alien name baffles Yuna and Asaka. Yudias sets the device up, explaining that it is a re-enactment device used by Velgear's Strategy Division to make wartime judgments. The device projects a hologram around them in a blue dome, recreating the apex of Mutsuba Tower at night, and Damamu cries that it's amazing. Static crackles in the air as That Guy and Phaser appear, Yuna recognizing him and asking if this really is a video, while Yuamu gasps quietly at the sight of Phaser and Damamu happily dives through That Guy, not realizing he's a hologram and coming back in confusion. As the static clears, Yudias explains that this will allow them to observe the Rush Duel and may offer some insight into combating Phaser and MIK, but Yuhi claims he'd never do that and walks away. Yuamu asks him to wait and if he knows something, but Yuhi passes through the hologram and out of sight, Yudias calling his name. Yuamu stops him from following and Yudias asks if it's all right to let Yuhi go, but Yuna urges him to hurry and play the video, and Yudias hurries to oblige with a call of "UTS!" He begins the playback, and Phaser straps on his black Duel Disk, claiming he can't sit back and watch them defile this planet. That Guy readies his own Duel Disk, declaring that he'll push through on his Road, and they both insert their Decks into their Duel Disks with a call of "Go Rush!!" to deploy the blades and the green holographic dome.

Meanwhile Yuhi is walking through Under-Underground Town when he's tackled by Damamu and asks what he's doing. Damamu happily replies that it's fun being with Yuhi, though Yuhi gets to his feet and expresses skepticism. Fisher Sukai - or rather, one of their skyfish - agrees, approaching with Menjaburo Omori and Ofuruno Jersey and claiming that Yuhi, leader of the Yuhi Gang, is so scary that kids stop crying around him and Damamu likely won't have any fun. Yuhi irritably asks who they're calling leader and Ofuruno claims they respect him as much as they do limited edition premium goods, Menjaburo agreeing that Yuhi's delinquent spirit is as amazing and daunting as the highest quality tsukemen dipping sauce. Damamu is confused by the term "delinquent" and Ofuruno claims it means Yuhi is bad and the manliest of men, though Yuhi asks what that even means.

That Guy declares his turn and draws, his hand containing "Magiarms Beast Gearpard", "Sevens Wonder Fusion", "Magical Rebirth", "Light Sorcerer" and "Dark Sorcerer". Summoning "Dark Sorcerer" and "Light Sorcerer", That Guy Tributes them and chants "With your piercing fangs, claws, and insightful gaze! Bury the darkness! Tribute Summon! Magiarms Beast Geapard!" Yudias gasps at the sight of the armored leopard and That Guy Sets two cards, explaining that the Continuous Effect of "Gearpard" increases its ATK by 200 while he has a card in his Spell & Trap Zone. "Gearpard" increases to 2500 ATK and Yudias asks Phaser if he is surprised by a steel leopard with a Continuous Effect, Yuna chiming in to ask if Phaser is afraid or can't speak and suggesting he would so well to respond. Yuamu and Asaka sigh, Yuamu pointing out that it would be pretty freaky for a video playback to answer them, much to Yuna's embarrassment. Phaser comments That Guy must understand that aliens are nothing but troublesome.

As if to prove his point, Sukai's skyfish, Ofuruno and Menjaburo all grin mischievously as Sukai declares a staple of a delinquent is the ding dong dash, and Menjaburo encourages Yuhi to ring a doorbell, adding that there are plenty to ring. Yuhi doesn't know why he'd bother, but Damamu promptly rings it several times, much to everyone's shock. The occupant emerges and thanks Damamu, having fallen asleep while her tempura hotpot was still on the stove and explaining there would have been a fire had Damamu not awoken her, much to the surprise of the others.

Phaser asks if That Guy remembers the Great King of Terror, who almost froze the universe, and adds that disorder remains in Mutsuba Town too before declaring his turn and drawing a card. Yudias grits his teeth angrily as Phaser Summons "Abysslayer Vodyanoy", then returns a Sea Serpent Type monster from his hand to the bottom of his Deck to activate its effect and draw a card, "Abysslayer Apsaras", then he draws another card as his Graveyard is empty, "Wrath of Abyss". He Summons "Abysslayer Cetus", then Tributes his two monsters to Tribute Summon, chanting "Life is ancient, borne from the depths of the ocean. We are as vestiges...We were all borne from Mother Ocean! The dreams of those in the Abyss...Could it be one day? Come forth! Abysslayer Apsaras!" As "Apsaras" appears with 2500 ATK, Asaka observes that Phaser's Deck is composed of messengers of terror lurking in the dark abyss.

In Under-Underground Town, Sukai and Menjaburo claim that a delinquent gourmet hogs all the free samples as Damamu chows down on free samples at a food stall. Yuhi points out that Damamu is eating way too much but the other aliens interpret Damamu's eating as a sign the food is delicious and flock to the store, the astonished owner thanking them for their business.

Phaser declares those in the universe are divided in two: the humans allowed to be born on Mother Earth, and the aliens who weren't chosen, causing Yudias to flinch in shock. Phaser activates the effect of "Apsaras", returning "Vodyanoy" from his Graveyard to his Deck to Special Summon "Cetus" from his Graveyard, then destroying "Gearpard" since his Graveyard is empty. "Apsaras" breathes a torrent of water at "Gearpard" and destroys it, and That Guy grits his teeth and returns two Spellcasters from his Graveyard to his Deck to activate the Trap Card "Magical Rebirth", Special Summoning "Gearpard" from the Graveyard. Yudias, Yuamu, Yuna and Asaka are all impressed, Yuamu pointing out the Continuous Effect of "Gearpard" will still apply as it returns to 2500 ATK. Phaser declares that resistance is futile and the right path will always lead to victory, activating the effect of "Cetus" as "That Guy" controls a monster by sending the top card of his Deck ("Shape of Aqua") to the Graveyard, increasing the ATK of "Apsaras" by 400 until the end of the turn. As purple energy emerges from "Cetus" and energizes "Apsaras" to 2900 ATK, That Guy gasps and Phaser adds that "Apsaras" gains another 600 ATK as he has no monsters in his Graveyard, powering it up further to 3500 ATK. Yudias, Yuna, Asaka and Yuamu gasp as Phaser Sets two cards and declares battle, attacking "Gearpard" with the "Descent of the Celestial Maiden: Dance of Raging Storms" attack of "Apsaras". "Apsaras" slashes "Gearpard" with a blade of water, but "Gearpard" shrugs it off and That Guy explains the Continuous Effect of "Gearpard" prevents it from being destroyed by battle, though Phaser notes That Guy will still take the damage. That Guy falls to 3000 LP, and Phaser ends his turn, returning the ATK of "Apsaras" to 2500. Yuna notes that Phaser is blow-for-blow with That Guy and Phaser declares that his MIK, the Organization for Monitoring Interstellar Kriminals, exists for one purpose: protecting this planet from the foul, impure aliens who chip away at its radiance.

Damamu has been spraying graffiti of the Nazca Lines on a wall, but one alien from the Neighborhood Delinquent Alien Watch points out that people are now using it as a landmark to avoid getting lost and thanks him, while another later thanks Damamu for swapping the sugar and the salt, as it allowed her to make something delicious. By evening Yuhi's done with the whole idea, and when Sukai, Ofuruno and Menjaburo protest, Yuhi snaps at them not to follow him and they oblige, though Damamu drifts after Yuhi and whispers "Bye bye" in English.

That Guy asks Phaser to consider having so many different aliens on Earth as akin to Rush Dueling, which is so much fun because of all the different cards and Decks. He claims the planet cannot shine on its own and only the light of everyone on it makes it shine like a gem, declaring his turn and drawing five cards: "Spell Arsenal", "Straynge Cat", "Pierce!", "Graceful Charity" and "Curtain of Sparks". He activates "Graceful Charity", drawing three cards ("Kuribot", "Mystic Dealer" and "Sevens Road Witch") and discarding two ("Pierce!" and "Kuribot"), then Summons "Spell Arsenal". He activates its effect by returning a monster ("Kuribot") Spell ("Pierce!") and Trap ("Magical Rebirth") from his Graveyard to his Deck, sending "Spell Arsenal" to the Graveyard and drawing a card. He's drawn the Equip Spell Card "Magical Lance - Grace Spear", and as it was an Equip Spell he can draw another card, smiling at the sight of "Dark Revelation". Summoning "Mystic Dealer" and "Straynge Cat", "That Guy" activates the effect of "Mystic Dealer" by discarding a card and drawing another - "Sevens Road Magician". Yuna and Yuamu gasp happily at the sight and That Guy Tributes "Mystic Dealer" and "Straynge Cat" to Tribute Summon, chanting "No matter if walls, mountains, or even planets block my way! I'll carve open a road through them all and press onward! Let's go! Sevens Road Magician!" Yudias cheers, and Yuna cries that it's That Guy's ace monster.

But Phaser activates a Trap Card, "Wrath of Abyss", telling "Sevens Road Magician" to face the judgment of the depths as the Trap destroys it with a blast of water, much to the horror of Yudias, Yuna, Yuamu and Asaka. Phaser adds that all of That Guy's monsters will be destroyed as he has no monsters in his Graveyard, and "Gearpard" explodes in a flash of colored shards. Yuna and Yuamu gasp, and Yuamu looks at Phaser, noting that while she doesn't want to admit it, he's quite strong. But That Guy just tells Phaser that's more like it, pointing out that he built a special Deck for this Duel and chanting "Should my soul's prayers reach you, then use the power from the underworld and rise forth my friend!" as he activates "Sevens Wonder Fusion", much to Yudias, Yuna and Yuamu's shock, Asaka declaring it's a new "Fusion" bearing the name "Sevens". Yuamu protests that That Guy doesn't have any monsters on his field, but he fuses the "Sevens Road Magician" and "Gearpard" in his Graveyard, much to the shock of the girls as Yudias observes happily. That Guy chants "Gallop forth from the heavens! Sevens Chariot the Magical Knight!"

Yudias and Yuamu gasp happily, and Yuna clasps her hands and states that it's just like That Guy, while Phaser admits that was interesting. That Guy agrees, stating that he wouldn't have this much fun if it wasn't, and he Sets two cards, then chants "Clothed in the strongest of karmas, it pierces through all of creation! I entrust the Equip Spell Card "Magical Lance - Grace Spear" to "Sevens Chariot"!" As "Sevens Chariot" takes up "Grace Spear", That Guy explains that it gains 200 ATK and piercing, bringing it to 3200 ATK, and since it's a Magical Knight Type, it gains ATK equal to its Level times 200 as well, increasing "Sevens Chariot" to 5000 ATK. Then That Guy sends "Whispering Fairy" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the Multi-Choice Effect of "Sevens Chariot", destroying face-up cards Phaser controls equal to the number of Spell and Trap Cards he controls, and he has three. Phaser narrows his eyes as "Sevens Chariot" gallops forwards and pierces "Apsaras" and "Cetus" with "Magical Count Burning Scissors", and the girls cheer while Phaser winces and angrily asks what the other effect of "Sevens Chariot" was. That Guy explains that it would have gained 500 ATK for each of their Spell and Trap Cards, impressing Yudias with the power of the options, and Phaser narrows his eyes again. Declaring battle, That Guy attacks Phaser directly.

Phaser activates another Trap, "Abyss Brinicle", much to the shock of Yudias, Yuamu, Yuna and Asaka. Returning "Cetus" to the bottom of his Deck, Phaser Special Summons "Apsaras" from his Graveyard in Defense Position. Yudias gasps in shock and Phaser adds that he can also destroy one of That Guy's Attack Position monsters if he has no monsters in his Graveyard. That Guy grits his teeth and Yudias gasps that Phaser's Graveyard has no monsters again now that he's Special Summoned "Apsaras". Phaser declares that he will destroy "Sevens Chariot", but That Guy informs him that's not happening, much to his shock, as the effect of "Sevens Chariot" prevents it from being destroyed by card effects this turn. Yudias, Yuamu, Yuna and Asaka gasp happily as That Guy declares the battle isn't over yet, attacking "Apsaras" with "Sevens Chariot's" "Sevens Wheel Thunder Streak" attack, generating lightning at the chariot wheels and blasting it at "Apsaras", destroying it and reducing Phaser to 500 LP. That Guy ends his turn as "Sevens Chariot" alights behind him.

At the river, Yuhi sits with Damamu and admits that he saw Phaser's Duel with That Guy. He remembers a massive sea monster looming over That Guy as Phaser smiled and admits it had been a coincidence, lying back and admitting he wasn't able to do anything. Damamu mimics Yuhi's position (while still hovering) and Yuhi notes it was just like after the battles at Velgear VIII where he couldnt' help Yudias and was sent back to Earth. He bitterly comments that of course he was, because an elementary schooler from Earth like him is just powerless. He takes his Deck out of his pocket and looks at it, admitting that he can't do anything at all.

Phaser muses on That Guy's claim that Earth resembles Rush Dueling, and he declares his turn and draws four cards. His hand now containing "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken [L]", "Abysslayer Cetus", two "Abysslayer Vodyanoy" and "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken [R]", Phaser Summons a "Vodyanoy" and activates its effect, returning a Sea Serpent to the bottom of his Deck and drawing a card, though as Yudias notes, Phaser can't draw another card since he has a monster in his Graveyard. Asaka asks if Phaser just swapped out a card, but Phaser smiles and Tributes "Vodyanoy" to Tribute Summon "Abysslayer Makara". He activates its effect, sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard (another "Apsaras") and drawing a card as he sent a Sea Serpent monster to the Graveyard - "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken". Phaser declares that it's here, and That Guy gasps as Phaser sends all the monsters he controls to the Graveyard, much to the surprise of Asaka and Yuna. The three "Abyss Kraken" cards fall into water before rising connected together as Phaser chants "At the ocean's depth lies a gate, leading to a deeper abyss. When it comes time to be opened, the fate of the Abyss..." Yudias gasps as Phaser holds up the three cards and declares a Maximum Summon. He places the cards on his Duel Disk, and the cards all slide together, the Zone dividers sliding aside to make room for them, and the holographic card duplicate is blasted into the air as Yuamu gasps in shock. Phaser chants "Come forth! Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken!" and a massive cephalopod with draconian heads tipping two of its tentacles emerges from the waves, standing with 4000 MAXIMUM ATK.

That Guy grits his teeth and Yudias beholds the gigantic monster as he repeats the Summons' name and Yuna is shocked that three cards formed a single monster, while Yuamu wonders if MIK found and decoded the data used for creating Rush Duel cards at Goha Company, Asaka adding they must have used the captured Mutsuba Plants to print them. Yuna protests they don't have this kind of card data, while unbeknownst to them, That Guy gasps as he notices Yuhi hiding behind the roof entrance and smiles. Phaser sends a card from his hand to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Abyss Kraken", switching "Sevens Chariot" to Defense Position and allowing the attacks of "Abyss Kraken" to pierce, much to That Guy's shock. Phaser then activates the second effect of "Kraken", returning five monsters ("Makara", and both "Asparas" and two "Vodyanoy") from his Graveyard to his Deck to reduce the DEF of "Sevens Chariot" by 300 for each, reducing it to 1000 DEF, and then since his Graveyard is now free of monsters he destroys a Spell or Trap That Guy controls. "Curtain of Sparks" flips face-up and shatters, Yudias, Yuna, Yuamu and Asaka gasping, and That Guy notes he'll be finished if he takes the attack, but asks if Phaser is sure about this. Yuna realizes That Guy must have "Dark Revelation" and Yuamu gasps, but Phaser attacks "Sevens Chariot" anyway with the "Legend of the Blue Sea Conqueror: Volume One" attack of "Abyss Kraken". "Abyss Kraken" begins generating spheres of water in its maws and eight tentacles and That Guy prepares to activate his Trap, but Phaser informs him that he can't, much to the shock of That Guy, Yudias, Yuna, Yuamu and Asaka. Phaser explains the Continuous Effect of "Abyss Kraken" prevents it from being destroyed by card effects while he has no monsters in his Graveyard and prevents his opponent from activating Traps while it attacks as it's in Maximum Mode. That Guy gasps and Phaser declares that being buried by Rush Dueling is to face the judgment of Mother Earth as the water generated by "Abyss Kraken" coalesces into a single massive surge that engulfs "Sevens Chariot" and destroys it, and Yudias gasps in horror as That Guy is blown off his feet and his LP wiped out with a scream.

The recording begins to flicker again as Yuna runs to That Guy and tries to put her arms around him, but she passes through the recording. That Guy gets to his feet and Yuna backs away as he turns to Yuhi and says something unintelligible, prompting her to inquire if he said something. Meanwhile Yuhi is walking home, remembering That Guy speaking to him and screwing his eyes shut at the pain of the memory. Yuna gasps that it looked like That Guy was speaking to someone, and Yuamu agrees, though she couldn't hear it over the noise. But Asaka spots something approaching - The Relic - and the blue crystal atop it glows and envelops That Guy in energy, then disintegrates him, Yudias, Yuamu and Asaka gasping in horror, as the energy transforms the particles into a card. Yuna closes her eyes as she begins to cry and screams "NOOOOOOO!"

Back home as Damamu waits outside, Yuhi leaves his Deck and Duel Disk aside, asking what they think a worthless loser like him can do before walking away from his Dueling equipment.

Featured Duel: That Guy vs. Phaser Ryugu[edit]

The Duel is conducted as a Rush Duel.

Turn 1: "That Guy"
That Guy's hand contains "Magiarms Beast Gearpard", "Sevens Wonder Fusion", "Magical Rebirth", "Light Sorcerer" and "Dark Sorcerer". That Guy Normal Summons "Dark Sorcerer" (1500/0) and "Light Sorcerer" (1500/0). That Guy Tributes "Dark Sorcerer" and "Light Sorcerer" to Tribute Summon "Magiarms Beast Gearpard" (2300/1800). That Guy Sets two cards. As That Guy controls a card in his Spell & Trap Zone, the effect of "Gearpard" increases its ATK by 200 and prevents it from being destroyed by battle during Phaser's turn ("Gearpard": 2300 → 2500/1800).

Turn 2: Phaser
Phaser Normal Summons "Abysslayer Vodyanoy" (1000/400). As Phaser controls no other monsters, he activates the effect of "Vodyanoy", revealing a LIGHT or DARK Attribute Sea Serpent Type monster in his hand and placing it on the bottom of the Deck to draw a card, then if he has no monsters in his Graveyard, he draws an additional card. He returns an unknown Sea Serpent Type monster to the bottom of his Deck and draws "Abysslayer Apsaras", then since he has no monsters in his Graveyard he draws "Wrath of Abyss". Phaser Normal Summons "Abysslayer Cetus" (1100/0). Phaser Tributes "Cetus" and "Vodyanoy" to Tribute Summon "Abysslayer Apsaras" (2500/1500). As Phaser has ten or more cards in his Deck, he activates the effect of "Apsaras", placing up to three Sea Serpent Type monsters from his Graveyard on the bottom of the Deck in any order to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Sea Serpent Type monster from his Graveyard in Attack Position, then if Phaser has no monsters in your Graveyard he can destroy one Level 8 or lower monster That Guy controls. Phaser places "Vodyanoy" on the bottom of his Deck, Special Summons "Cetus" (1100/0) and then since he has no monsters in his Graveyard he destroys the Level 7 "Gearpard". As a face-up monster That Guy controlled was destroyed by Phaser's card effect, That Guy activates his Set Trap Card "Magical Rebirth", shuffling two Spellcaster Type monsters from his Graveyard into his Deck to Special Summon one of those destroyed monsters. He shuffles "Dark Sorcerer" and "Light Sorcerer" into the Deck and Special Summons "Gearpard" in Attack Position (2300 → 2500/1800). As That Guy controls a monster, Phaser activates the effect of "Cetus", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to increase the ATK of a Sea Serpent Type monster he controls by 400 until the end of the turn, then if Phaser has no monsters in his Graveyard, that monster gains 600 ATK until the end of the turn. He sends "Shape of Aqua" to the Graveyard, so he has no monsters in his Graveyard, and chooses to increase the ATK of "Apsaras" ("Apsaras": 2500 → 2900 → 3500/1500). Phaser Sets two cards. "Apsaras" attacks "Gearpard", which is not destroyed by battle as That Guy controls a card in his Spell & Trap Zone (That Guy: 4000 → 3000 LP).

Turn 3: That Guy
That Guy draws "Spell Arsenal", "Straynge Cat", "Pierce!", "Graceful Charity" and "Curtain of Sparks". That Guy activates the Spell Card "Graceful Chairty", drawing three cards, then sending two cards from his hand to the Graveyard. He draws "Kuribot", "Mystic Dealer" and "Sevens Road Witch" and sends "Kuribot" and "Pierce!" from his hand to the Graveyard. That Guy Normal Summons "Spell Arsenal" (400/1000). That Guy activates the effect of "Spell Arsenal", shuffling one monster, one Spell Card and one Trap Card from his Graveyard into the Deck and sending "Spell Arsenal" to the Graveyard to draw a card and reveal it, then draw another card if he reveals an Equip Spell Card. He shuffles "Kuribot", "Pierce!" and "Magical Rebirth" from his Graveyard into the Deck, sends "Spell Arsenal" to the Graveyard, and draws and reveals the Equip Spell Card "Magical Lance - Grace Spear", so he also draws "Dark Revelation". That Guy Normal Summons "Straynge Cat" (0/1400) and "Mystic Dealer" (1000/0). That Guy activates the effect of "Mystic Dealer", sending a Spellcaster Type monster from his hand to the Graveyard to draw a card. He sends "Sevens Road Witch" to the Graveyard and draws "Sevens Road Magician".[Notes 1] That Guy's hand contains "Sevens Road Magician", "Curtain of Sparks", "Magical Lance - Grace Spear" and "Dark Revelation". That Guy Tributes "Straynge Cat" and "Mystic Dealer" to Tribute Summon "Sevens Road Magician" (2100/1500).

As That Guy Normal Summoned a monster while Phaser controls two or more LIGHT and/or DARK Attribute Sea Serpent Type monsters, Phaser activates his Set Trap Card "Wrath of Abyss", destroying that Normal Summoned monster, then if he has no monsters in his Graveyard he can destroy all face-up monsters That Guy controls. Phaser controls the DARK Attribute "Cetus" and "Apsaras" and has no monsters in his Graveyard, so he destroys "Sevens Road Magician", then "Gearpard". That Guy activates his Set Spell Card "Sevens Wonder Fusion", Fusion Summoning by shuffling monsters from his field or Graveyard into the Deck as material, including "Sevens Road Magician". He shuffles "Sevens Road Magician" and "Magiarms Beast Gearpard" into his Deck to Fusion Summon "Sevens Chariot the Magical Knight" (3000/2500) in Attack Position. That Guy Sets two cards. That Guy activates the Equip Spell Card "Magical Lance - Grace Spear", equipping it to a Magical Knight or Spellcaster Type monster he controls. He equips it to the Magical Knight Type "Sevens Chariot". The effect of "Grace Spear" increases the ATK of the equipped monster by 200 and allows it to inflict piercing battle damage if it attacks a Defense Position monster, and if the equipped monster is Magical Knight Type it gains ATK equal to its Level x 200. "Sevens Chariot" is a Level 9 Magical Knight Type monster ("Sevens Chariot": 3000 → 3200 → 5000/2500). That Guy sends the the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Sevens Chariot", either increasing its ATK by the number of cards in both players' Spell & Trap Zones x 500 until the end of the turn, or preventing "Sevens Chariot" from being destroyed by Phaser's card effects this turn and destroying face-up cards Phaser controls up to the number of cards in That Guy's Spell & Trap Zones. He sends "Whispering Fairy" from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard and chooses to prevent "Sevens Chariot" from being destroyed by Phaser's card effects and destroy cards Phaser controls, and controls three Spell/Trap Cards, so he destroys "Apsaras" and "Cetus". "Sevens Chariot" attacks directly, but as That Guy's monster declared a direct attack Phaser activates his Set Trap Card "Abyss Brinicle", placing up to three DARK Attribute Sea Serpent Type monsters from his Graveyard on the bottom of the Deck in any order, Special Summoning a Sea Serpent Type monster from his Graveyard, then if Phaser has no monsters in his Graveyard he can destroy one Attack Position monster That Guy controls. He places "Cetus" on the bottom of the Deck and Special Summons "Apsaras" (2500/1500) in Defense Position so he has no monsters in his Graveyard, and chooses to destroy "Sevens Chariot", but "Sevens Chariot" is not destroyed due to its second effect. A replay occurs and "Sevens Chariot" attacks and destroys "Apsaras" (Phaser: 4000 → 500 LP).

Turn 4: Phaser
Phaser's hand contains "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken [L]", "Abysslayer Cetus", two copies of "Abysslayer Vodyanoy" and "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken [R]". Phaser Normal Summons "Abysslayer Vodyanoy" (1000/400). As Phaser controls no other monsters, he activates the effect of "Vodyanoy", revealing a LIGHT or DARK Attribute Sea Serpent Type monster in his hand and placing it on the bottom of the Deck to draw a card, then drawing an additional card if he has no monsters in his Graveyard. Phaser reveals the DARK Attribute Sea Serpent Type "Cetus" and has one monster in his Graveyard, so he draws "Abysslayer Makara".[Notes 2] Phaser Tributes "Vodyanoy" to Tribute Summon "Abysslayer Makara" (1500/1000). As Phaser has ten or more cards in his Deck he activates the effect of "Makara", sending the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard and drawing a card if he sends a Sea Serpent Type monster to the Graveyard with this effect. He sends the Sea Serpent Type "Abysslayer Apsaras" to the Graveyard, so he draws "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken".

Phaser sends "Makara" to the Graveyard and Maximum Summons "Abyssal Sea Dragon Abyss Kraken", "Abyss Kraken [L]", and "Abyss Kraken [R]", entering Maximum Mode (4000 MAXIMUM ATK). Phaser sends a card from his hand to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Abyss Kraken [R]", changing the battle position of a monster That Guy controls, and if "Abyss Kraken" is in Maximum Mode allowing it to inflict piercing battle damage if it attacks a Defense Position monster this turn. He sends "Vodyanoy" from his hand to the Graveyard and changes "Sevens Chariot" to Defense Position. Phaser shuffle up to five monsters from his Graveyard into the Deck to activate the effect of "Abyss Kraken [L]", reducing the ATK/DEF of a monster That Guy controls equal to the number of monsters shuffled into the Deck to meet the requirement x 300 until the end of the turn, then if "Abyss Kraken" is in Maximum Mode and Phaser has no monsters in your Graveyard he can destroy one Spell/Trap Card That Guy controls. Phaser shuffles "Makara", two copies of "Asparas" and two copies of "Vodyanoy" into his Deck, chooses to reduce the ATK/DEF of "Sevens Chariot" ("Sevens Chariot": 5000 → 3500/2500 → 1000) and has no monsters in his Graveyard, so he destroys That Guy's Set "Curtain of Sparks". "Abyss Kraken" attacks "Sevens Chariot". As his opponent's monster declared an attack, That Guy attempts to activate his Set Trap Card "Dark Revelation", but the effect of "Abyss Kraken" prevents it from being destroyed by card effects while Phaser has no monsters in his Graveyard and prevents That Guy from activating Trap Cards when it attacks while it is in Maximum Mode. The attack continues and "Sevens Chariot" is destroyed (That Guy: 3000 → 0 LP).

Featured cards[edit]

The following cards appeared in this episode. Cards in italics debuted here. Cards that appeared in the opening can be found here. Cards that appeared in the ending can be found here.

Notes[edit]

  1. This card is not shown being discarded, but That Guy's hand is immediately shown to contain "Curtain of Sparks", "Magical Lance - Grace Spear" and "Dark Revelation" before he draws "Sevens Road Magician".
  2. Neither card is shown, but was "Abysslayer Cetus" is not shown when the contents of Phaser's Graveyard are later shown and "Abysslayer Makara" was not in his hand previously and is immediately Tribute Summoned.
