AppearanceEdit
Deschutes is an unkempt man with a thin goatee and long shaggy black hair. He wears a wide-collared hoodie, bandages wrapped around his forearms, and crotchless leather pants over a lighter pair of pants, in addition to black shoes and a large black belt. He carries a KaibaCorp Duel Disk on his left arm.
PersonalityEdit
Deschutes is arrogant, believing that he was capable of defeating Yugi and talking down to him. After Yugi defeated him, he accepted his defeat gracefully, and he admitted his respect for him, though he still didn't believe that Yugi could defeat the other Card Professors. He is slightly lecherous, commenting that Anzu Mazaki was too good-looking for Yugi.
BiographyEdit
Deschutes was with the other Card Professors when they urged Reiko Kitamori to take part in the takeover of KaibaCorp. After the takeover, Yako Tenma gave Deschutes the "Soul Prison" card that contained Anzu Mazaki's soul. Deschutes saw Anzu while she was unconscious, appreciating her looks.
When Dark Yugi, Katsuya Jonouchi, and Hiroto Honda approached KaibaCorp, Deschutes met them outside, tossing Yugi the "Soul Prison" card. He explained that there were thirteen Card Professors in the building that they would need to defeat, and that they would need to defeat him to earn a key card to enter the building. He taunted Yugi about Anzu's good looks, and Yugi told him to shut up as they begun their Duel.
Yugi quickly Summoned his "Poker Knights", the number of sacrifices he would need to Summon an Egyptian God, though Dechutes believed he was ready for Yugi to Summon anything. He brought out "Castle Gate" and used it to take out most of Yugi's LP in a single shot by sacrificing his "Jack's Knight". Yugi Summoned "Dark Magician", but Deschutes took control of it too with "Forceful Deal". Yugi reclaimed it with "Owner's Seal", and he defeated Deschutes.
Deschutes gave Yugi the keycard, and explained that the building was divided into ten blocks, each requiring a keycard that a Card Professor would be keeping, as Yako had ordered him to divulge. He admitted that he respected Yugi, though it wouldn't help him defeat the Card Professors in his way, and he departed, wishing Yugi luck.
DeckEdit
Deschutes plays a Defensive Deck, consisting of monsters with high DEF and cards that can take control of the opponent's monsters to inflict damage with "Castle Gate".
