In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 0022: "The Gauntlet Is Thrown", this card was seen in Yugi's hand during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. Yugi thinks of summoning this card before he realizes that Pegasus knows that he will, as Pegasus—unbeknownst to Yugi—already had Sun Showerface-down to take care of it. Yugi then summons a monster without looking at it. Pegasus then activates "Sun Shower" as he assumed Yugi summoned "Zombie Warrior". This proved to be false as Yugi had summoned Dark Magician instead. Since the latter was not a Zombie-type, "Sun Shower" was wasted for nothing.
