Divine-Beast (
The 3 Egyptian God Cards are deemed as legendary and are considered the most powerful cards in the entire game in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and manga, each having their own unique and devastating effects.
Divine-Beast was originally not a legal Type. However, legal reprints of "Obelisk the Tormentor", "Slifer the Sky Dragon", and "The Winged Dragon of Ra" have been released, confirming Divine-Beast as a legal type, that can be declared with cards such as "DNA Surgery". There is currently no support for Divine-Beast monsters.
Divine Type
In Reshef of Destruction, the Divine type was given to monsters so that they would not be affected by the game's standard type system, which caused monsters of certain types to automatically destroy monsters of certain types. Any cards that target "light type" monsters may also target Divine-Beasts (this might have been applied in some video games, but it does not apply to real game play). For example, "Kaiser Sea Horse's" effect applies to the summoning of Divine-Beast-Type monsters. Also, contrary to popular belief, the Divine type is just as Susceptible to card effects as any other monster, not including monsters with the ability in their effect not to be effected by said effects.
