Raid Duel - Bonds Beyond Time: Paradox vs. The Three Duelists is an event in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, based on Paradox's Duel against Yami Yugi, Jaden Yuki and Yusei Fudo in the movie Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D Bonds Beyond Time. It allows the player to unlock Paradox as a playable character.

Event Details[edit]
Challenging Paradox[edit]
Malefic Truth Dragon must first spawn on the Event page. This can be done by Dueling in the Duel World (excluding the Gate), or by Dueling in Ranked Duels, which will increase the spawn rate of the Raid Boss, while also rewarding Masks from Paradox.
After it spawns, the player can challenge it at any time on the Event page. Even if the player does not defeat Paradox, he can be challenged again by using Paradox's Masks until Malefic Truth Dragon's LP reaches 0. You can also immediately respawn him without dueling to fill the gauge at the bottom left by using Paradox's Masks. In Assist Duels, the player does not need to wait for Malefic Truth Dragon to spawn.
Malefic Truth Dragon can spawn at different levels, ranging from Level 100 to Level 5000 (but only in multiples of 100). The possible Levels in which Malefic Truth Dragon spawns increase as the player accumulates victories against it. From August 30 (December 4 in the repeat) onward, the boss will begin to spawn with LV. 2000 or higher.
Unlocking Paradox[edit]
From August 28 (December 2 in the repeat) onwards, the player can unlock Paradox as a playable character by defeating the Raid Boss with at least 2,100,000 (1,500,000 in the repeat) event points.
Raid Duels[edit]
Duels against Paradox are conducted as Raid Duels. In this mode, Malefic Truth Dragon will spawn with a large amount of LP, but if the player does not manage to defeat it, the damage dealt during that Duel will be carried on to the next time it is challenged. Malefic Truth Dragon also uses the Skill "Vanish Along with This Era!", which forcefully ends the Duel in a draw at the start of the opponent's turn from 10th turn onward.
Raid Duels also feature Assist Duels, in which players can help others to defeat Malefic Truth Dragon together. Before a player enters an Assist Duel, the damage dealt by other players will be subtracted from Malefic Truth Dragon's starting LP. After one of the participant players finishes a Duel in which the total damage dealt by all players is greater than the boss's original LP, all players who participated are rewarded. They become available to assist other players (if a player is in the middle of a Duel when that happens, they will only be notified after the Duel ends).
"Ace Monsters" (monsters with a summoning animation) deal triple battle damage to Malefic Truth Dragon. In addition, the following monsters: will deal five times more battle damage.

Note that Neos Knight cannot inflict battle damage unless its effect is negated with a monster effect.

Friendship Duel[edit]
After Dueling against Malefic Truth Dragon 5 times, the player can challenge it in a Friendship Duel.
In this mode, the EX Skill "Power to the Future!" will be unlocked between Raid Boss Level 100 - 1000.
The following effects can be used once per turn and once per duel each:
- Play "Dark Magician" to your field in Attack Position from outside your deck.
- Play "Elemental HERO Neos" to your field in Attack Position from outside your deck.
- Play "Stardust Dragon" to your field in Attack Position from outside your deck.
- Select 1 monster you control. Then, select another monster you control. Until the end of the turn, increase the ATK of the first monster by the ATK of the second monster, and then double its ATK.

Damage Rank[edit]
The player will be assigned a Damage Rank based on the highest damage they dealt to Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder. The possible ranks are C, B, A, and S. The minimum amount of damage necessary to achieve each rank is updated hourly, and changes based on the tally. The exact method of calculating this value is unknown.-->
