  • This monster's Japanese name (蕾禍（ライカ）ノ鎖蛇巳（クサリガミ）, Raika no Kusarigami) is a portmanteau of「鎖鎌」(kusarigama, lit. a chained sickle), and「巳」(mi, the Earthly Branch symbol associated with the snake in the Chinese zodiac), the Japanese zodiac sign associated with the kanji 蛇 (hemi "snake") in the spelling.
