Yugi, Joey, Téa, Tristan flew back to Japan afterwards and Yugi received a hug from [[Rebecca Hawkins|Rebecca]] at the airport. Later when he met up with his friends again, he thought that this isn't the tale of the pharaoh; Everyone has their own story and although one has just ended, his own is just beginning.<ref name="ep 224" />
It should be noted that Yugi and [[Rafael]] are the only characters in the series who ever fairly defeated Yami in a duel without using coercion or adding in external factors to alter Yami's will to win.
