At the exhibition, Kaiba impressed the audience by Summoning "[[Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon (anime)|Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon]]", which he used to destroy [[Solid Vision]] jets. He gave a speech about his new Duel Disk and introduced Yugi and Aigami, both of whom he said he would be Dueling for the remaining pieces of the puzzle. Due to a recent conflict with Aigami, Yugi insisted on Dueling him instead and was given a Duel Disk. Following Yugi's victory, Kaiba prepared to Duel Yugi for the two pieces. He placed the Millennium Puzzle in the center of the field, where it floated in a beam of light. He disregarded Yugi's arguments about the Duel being pointless and Atem no longer being inside the puzzle, until Yugi demonstrated it by inserting the last two pieces. Kaiba accused Yugi of deceiving him and continued the Duel, until they were interrupted by the reappearance of Aigami, who had become mutated and corrupted by the evil of the [[Millennium Ring]].<ref name="dsod" />
Yugi and Kaiba teamed up to Duel Aigami in a [[Shadow Game]]. Kaiba was defeated, but before disappearing, he gave the Millennium Puzzle to Yugi and demands Yugi to said before dissipating, "call Bring him nowback, Yugi". Kaiba returned after Yugi, having successfully reincarnated Atem momentarily accompanied by Atem, defeated Aigami. Kaiba expressed interest when Yugi and Jonouchi mentioned seeing Atem . He remarked, "I said he'd be back. Hate to say I told you so, but, 'told you so". When Yugi exclaims that Kaiba never stopped believing, Kaiba mentioned, "You have your bond with him, and acknowledged I have mine." As Yugi as a competent Duelistlooks at him with surprise, Kaiba leaves, saying "Take care, Yugi, until our paths cross again."<ref name="dsod" />
Kaiba took possession of the Quantum Cube and brought it to the space station. Inside a pod, he activated the cube, causing the space station to be immersed in gold light, as he shot down the elevator shaft. Kaiba awoke in a desert near a city containing [[Pharaoh's palace|Atem's palace]]. He advanced to proceeded directly across the desert through the city into the throne room, where he faced stops before Atem's throne and activates his duel disk. Atem, who replied rises from his throne and replies with a confident an impressed smile.<ref name="dsod" />
