A '''Transformation Summon''' is the act of [[Special Summon]]ing a Transformed Monster<sup>?</sup> from the [[Extra Deck]]. This is done through the effects of certain cards, including "[[Form Change]]" and "[[Mask Change]]".
To date, Transformation Summons exist only in the [[Yu-Gi-Oh! GX (manga)|Yu-Gi-Oh! GX manga]] and exclusively within the "[[Masked Hero]]" [[archetype]]. In the manga , [[Chazz Princeton | Chazz]] explained that transformation summoning is like [[Fusion Summon]]ing, but with only a single component.
