In a lot of the newer games, there's a pentagon shaped thingy next you a duelist that 'ranks' them. What do the 5 symbols (Sword, Shield, Thumbs Up, Dice and Heart) mean? | In a lot of the newer games, there's a pentagon shaped thingy next you a duelist that 'ranks' them. + | These are five dueling characteristics that you can have. The further the pentagon extends to that point, the stronger the characteristic. The Sword is Aggressive play ([[Aggro]]/[[Beatdown]] like tactics), the Shield represents Defensive play (either monsters with high DEF or stall/defending cards), the Thumbs-Up I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it symbolizes Strategy (how well you use the cards at hand, and the complexity of your combos), the Dice represents Luck (self-explanatory) and the Heart represents "Spirit". I'm not really sure what that means, but I believe it has something to do with Life Points.
