In a lot of the newer games, there's a pentagon shaped thingy next you a duelist that 'ranks' them. What do the 5 symbols (Sword, Shield, Thumbs Up, Dice and Heart) mean?

These are five dueling characteristics that you can have. The further the pentagon extends to that point, the stronger the characteristic. The Sword is Aggressive play ([[Aggro]]/[[Beatdown]] like tactics), the Shield represents Defensive play (either monsters with high DEF or stall/defending cards), the Thumbs-Up I'm not entirely sure, but I believe it symbolizes Strategy (how well you use the cards at hand, and the complexity of your combos), the Dice represents Luck (self-explanatory) and the Heart represents "Spirit". I'm not really sure what that means, but I believe it has something to do with Life Points.
