:If you activated Omega in response to its Summon, then he was correct. Omega will be Chain Link 1, Bottomless will be Chain Link 2. Chain Link 2 resolves first, so Omega will be destroyed and banished. This is, of course, assuming you made this misplay and activated its effect immediately when it was Summoned. If you waited for Bottomless to be Chain Link 1, then Omega would've protected itself. The other day, I was dueling agaist another duelist in a tournament. He summoned "Breaker the Magical Warrior" and put one spell counter on it. Then, he activated a Spell Card and told me that he could put another spell counter on it. When I asked him the reason, he told me that all Spellcaster-type monsters gain 1 spell counter when a Spell is activated. I pointed out that this was agaist the rules, since no card effect allowed him to do so, as well as that breaker can only have 1 spell counter at a time. In spite of that, he insisted that he was right and when he asked a friend of his, that friend AGREED with what he said. So, he ended up with a 2200 ATK Breaker, capable of destroying my face-down 2000 DEF Monster.

During another duel in a Match Duel tournament, one of my opponents had 3 Monsters on his side of the field, when I had none. At my Main Phase 1, I Special Summoned "Cyber Dragon" from my hand using its effect. But he told me that I could only Summon it if he controled only 1 monster, because his effect stated: "If your opponent controls A monster and you control no monsters,...". Luckily, the other players agreed with me.
Later on, when he won a duel, he stated that he won the Match 2-1, although the score after his victory was 1-1.

During another tournament, one of my opponents equiped an "Ekibyo Drakmord" to a FACE-DOWN monster I controled, telling me that the card didn't state that it could only be equiped to a face-up monster. And what is more, the other players AGREED with him.

After participating in many tournaments and facing numerous duelists who didn't know the rules, I said to myself: "No more of this! I am sticking to video games, whether old or new!"--Master Emerald (talk • contribs) 14:33, June 24, 2013 (UTC)
