'''Shizuka Kawai''' is a character in the [[Yu-Gi-Oh! (manga)|''Yu-Gi-Oh!'' manga]]. This is the original depiction of Shizuka, known as [[Serenity Wheeler]] in the English anime.
Shizuka is the younger sister of [[Katsuya Jonouchi (manga)|Katsuya Jonouchi]]. After her parents' divorce, she was raised by her mother, while Jonouchi was raised by [[Jonouchi's father|their father]]. Shizuka had problems with her eyes from an early age and was expected to become blind at some point in here her life. However Jonouchi was able to contribute to the cost of expensive eye surgery, using the money he and [[Yugi Mutou (manga)|Yugi Mutou]] won in [[Duelist Kingdom]]. Shizuka attended the [[Battle City]] finals to support Jonouchi and his friends.
