Staunch Defender will not help. All it does is change the attack target after the opponent has already attacked.

* Combo with "[[Battle Mania]]", or "[[Savage Colosseum]]", and/or "[[Staunch Defender]]"to force your opponent to attack.
* This card effect's essentially renders any opposing "[[Number 101: Silent Honor ARK]]" useless, since you can destroy that monster before this card gets attached.
